After 8 weeks started contacting salesperson who was incredibly rude with no answer other than wait. 3 months after that contacted by manager that in fact, rug was in but they had a problem with the border. No one ever mentioned any issue, offered an apology just left me hanging with a charge for a very expensive rug. Would never shop with them again, overpriced, no customer service, treated poorly by everyone in store like I was an inconvenience after spending hours picking out a rug. I worked with Sherece Porter and had a very good experience. I was looking for luxury vinyl plank to replace carpet in the basement. She was very knowledgeable about the products and the installation and she wasn't pushy at all about a sale. In fact, we had to visit a few times before deciding to pull the trigger and move forward with the project and Sherece was patient and helpful with each visit. The measurement and pre-install went ok but a mistake was made and two transition pieces weren't ordered which wasn't discovered until the day of the install. The floor was installed without issue and the pieces were ordered (no additional cost to me) and installed a couple of weeks later. Overall happy with the floor and the experience. I wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered from these people. OMG! i ORDRED 2 custom braided rugs rectangular 5x8 & 2x6. Sales person was very helpful, kind and patient during the sale. Not so much after the rugs came in(yesterday friday) oval shaped. I did not order oval. Anyway. I waited two weeks or more. Never got a phone call they were in. Was told the girl that makes the calls is out... I had to call there. Picked up rugs. Opened small opening when I got home(wrapped in plastic) immediately noticed wrong shape. called store. put on hold. Susan(our sales person) stated she won't be working Monday and the girl who handles special orders is not there today. so she will leave special order girl a note about this issue. bla bla bla...took rugs back....want my money back. why should you sit on my money for a month. manager called he has to approve refund. He comes walking up slapping his lips in my face(apparently it was dinner time) DISGUSTING AND NO MANNERS. So he says he needs to check rugs first....why didn't you check rugs before you said I could come pick up? Your store doesn't check specialty orders to make sure what was ordered was sent? Then he says there is no rug pad & he knows there was.....WAIT so you did check the order or you didn't? Rug pad wasn't in there...so basically tried to make it sound like we stole it! I was told if i get refund can't reorder correct rugs. who cares. stick your rugs and your unprofessionalism where the sun does not shine. Forgot to mention another lady at counter telling me to calm down....really....I never raised my voice but I was adamant that this con man rug company you got gone on here was not gone to steal my money or any more of my time. You know if someone would have said hey sorry about this....Not sure what happened here...I am gone to get this fixed ASAP...please give me a week or so more. Full disclosure, I have been an employee or Carpet and Tile Mart for 25 years , that being said I have to say that within the last year we have had Carpet and Tile Mart install a new luxury vinyl tile floor and a backsplash in our kitchen and today we had new carpet installed in the bedroom, so THANK YOU Carpet and Tile Mart for doing all this work in our house without one single problem, every subcontractor assigned to our job was here on time , preformed the work they had with professionalism and were very clean , Lenny and his helper just finished the carpet and the job is spotless, I don't even have to vacuum, so yes I work there but even if I didn't , I'd go there anyway and if your in need of flooring or a countertop, which I forgot to mention they did too , I'd still go there , thanks again, Marvin Friedman BTW , I would be remiss if I didn't mention our Flooring Representative Jeff McCord who made it easy for my wife to pick out a beautiful style of carpet read more

We had Airbase install padding and carpet in our family room and small hallway. The first red flag was after someone came for the final measure. I received an updated bill that added $400 to the original quote. The difference was to 'match' the carpet pattern. Okaay. Paid the bill and the installers came, installed and left. We were left with 70 square feet of carpet (which equalled the extra $400 added to the quote). Second red flag was the installation. There were lumps and bumps throughout the room. All along the edges of the room, there were sections of carpet that were puckered and not laying flat. Around the corners, the carpet was also buckled and not laying flat. I was at work when the carpet was installed (my husband was working in the yard). I called Airbase and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to K. Keane and he said they would absolutely come out and fix any carpet that was not laying correctly and I should send him photos. I sent photos to his email address on November 30. It is now 17 days later and I have not had any response from Airbase about scheduling a time to come to fix the buckling. Needless to say, I will not recommend Airbase Carpet because of poor installation and responding to customers. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

She verbally td me I had 30 days to return the tile then wouldn't allow me to return them because it said so on their website. Excuse me for trusting you and not reading the details of the order. My floor looks great, my issue is the sales person told me a couple things that turned out to be totally different when the installers came. First thing, they told me the person that came to do the estimate was going to be the installer. Instead they sent 2 guys that speak little to no English. Secondly, they specifically told me it would be installed with plywood and screws and they did it with sheet rock and nails. And lastly, the installers have a scam to get you for an extra $50 for each appliance they have to move back and forth during the job (so $100 extra for 2 kitchen appliances) that nobody ever mentioned or added into the estimate! And that extra cost had to be paid straight to the installer, not airbase carpet.. In the end the floor turned out beautiful but I will not be calling them to do the floors for the rest of my house because of all the lies and scams they performed. read more

BEWARE - A company is only as good as its products and employees, and right now this company seriously lacks good staff. I would give our very recent experience a negative star review if it were possible. It began with the salesperson who was fine until she got us on the "hook" then wouldn't even answer our phone calls. When I called to speak to the office for answers, the office manager was as rude as an individual can be with a raised voice and no couth whatsoever. I had to hang up on her because she was out of control and I don't let anyone speak to me like that. The Assistant Sales Manager got involved and refused to address the issues of employee behavior and to this day hasn't gotten our information corrected. These should have been red flags to not go forward with the installation because it couldn't have gone worse. In a nutshell, the installer did not follow the schematic provided by the store nor ask for our decision before proceeding, but went forward and installed the carpet how he thought it should go. Instead of one seam in our master bedroom we ended up with 4 pieces of carpet glued together. The large walk-in closet looks like a puzzle because there are so many pieces glued together. And if that weren't bad enough, in another bedroom he installed the carpet in 2 different directions - biggest no-no you can pull in installation and he claims to have 40 years experience! This company (unlike any I have ever done business with) insists that you pay 100% of the cost well in advance of your installation. Mr. Asst. Mgr. used the excuse it was to order our carpet, but we chose in-stock and end rolls - NOTHING to order at all! Then when things went south the day of the installation, he did not want to refund any of it. DO NOT let anyone do this to you! Use the resources at your disposal for this very purpose, as I did. Firstly I filed a dispute with my credit card company (never pay any way but credit with large purchases) and then filed a claim with the BBB. This made them take notice and begin to cooperate. That is how we came to a resolution in this matter. But after decades of doing business with this company, I will never return, nor would I recommend anyone else do business there. read more

I do not recommend purchasing from Airbase, given my experience: We worked with Joe to find a carpet we liked. The carpet was a "special buy" and decently priced. We put a large deposit on the carpet and rushed to prepare the space for install. Less then 48 hrs before install, Joe called and said the carpet was sold to someone else and that the salesperson failed to put a tag on it (nevermind that they use a computer system and we placed a deposit). We went back into the store and didn't find anything comparable in price/quality. Joe never offered an apology and just reiterated that "it happens sometimes." He got an Asst. Manager, Stewart, involved. Stewart tried to find a similar carpet based on Joe's statements but never once spoke to me in the store, only via phone/email. We agreed to drive to the Philly store to look at their selection. We found another carpet and they gave us a discount, but even with the discount, it was more expensive. To end our search and have carpet, we decided to move forward. We had to wait another 7 days (14 total days from our original selection) for installation. The day before install, they requested the final balance. Installation day came and the gentleman ripped up our old (yet functional carpet), put down padding, track strips, and began to place the carpet; however, the carpet had serious defects. Lines/streaks going throughout. I called and spoke to Stewart who offered me a $300 discount to accept the carpet. I refused. I then spoke with Steve (Manager) who was unapologetic and said for us to come into the store for a 4th time and that they would take care of us with a heavy discount. When asked what that discount would be, he couldnt give a percentage. I reiterated that each trip was 1.5 hours and a toll over the bridge and this would be the 4th trip. I also told him that I had a young daughter and it was a safety concern to have concrete so given that they ripped up my still functional, old carpet and my inconvenience, that they should at least let the padding remain. He refused. I then told him I wouldnt pick out a new carpet and I expected a refund. He agreed to a refund and said it would take a couple days. So now Im out a few thousand dollars for a few days (until the refund is processed) and I no longer have any carpet. The real kicker is that the installation guys said they cant reuse the padding. So instead of being decent, and above-board, knowing I have a young daughter and dont want her on concrete, they ripped the padding up to throw it out. This company has no morals/ethics. They only care about money and do so by selling sub-par, damaged goods. Do NOT engage in business with them! read more

Ordered carpet and paid for it last Sunday November 11 th and was told it would be in on Thursday November 15th. No call so I called and requested a update from Sherece Porter she said their computers were down and would get back to me within a hour, no call back. Called Friday Was told carpet did not make it the store Because of the storm the day before. In Reality they never had the carpet they sold me. After 5 phone calls on Saturday I was told I could have my carpet in about 10 days. Then I was told they found like replacement and was available, I asked for a few pictures so I could see the product before I traveled to the store no pictures were ever sent. I just spoke with "Michael Guyer" at the store who cursed and screamed at me, and advised them that I wanted a refund or I was going to charge back my credit card at the bank and then they could take me to court if they wanted their money. He actually, and im not even joking, threatened to "have someone come rip out their carpet from my office and take it back if I did that". Its amazing that I had to explain to this person that doing that would not only be breaking and entering but would also be, theft, destruction of property, trespassing etc. I explained their avenue would be to take me to court and he reiterated his plan to "have someone come rip out their carpet from my office and take it back if I did that". Now apparently I need to forward this matter over to the local police to file a report. WOW!! IDIOTS. Scheduled and pre-paid an installation for today at 11am!!. By 2:30pm and they had still not arrived. Nobody calls me to advise that there is a delay of any kind. I contact the store to find out whats going on, and first the girls hang up on me several times for having the audacity to call and inquire at all. THEN a store Manager named "Steve" advises me that the installers MAY be here by 4:30pm, but he cant promise that. I ask to speak with the Manager "Dan" who I made the deal with, and of course he is not there. MId the fact that my staff and I have disassembled desks in the office waiting for the installers to arrive. I have been giving airbase carpet mart business for 25 years and I am absolutely appalled at how I was treated during most recent purchase. I had flooring put in a year ago that I was very happy with so I decided to add a couple of additional rooms with the same flooring so that my first floor would be completely finished. Only problem is that the flooring a year later was a completely different shade. Not a "dye lot" issue but grey vs. brown. To make matters worse, they finished one of the rooms with some extra flooring I had from the first order so that room looks like a patchwork quilt. Kevin Keane was initially sympathetic because the pictures I supplied were very evident of a difference in color but it became apparent that he was likely just trying to get me out of the store and did not follow up as promised. At one point he was downright condenscending and rude. Went to my salesperson who spoke with the GM Greg and I was told that all they would do for me is replace some of the boards so that it would appear to blend better and that I was lucky that they were willing to do this extra labor for me. No they would not fix the problem and no there would be no credit for this issue. I was actually told that the manufacturer of the flooring''s paperwork does indicate that there may be variances in color from one order to another. Awesome! I recently bought tile for my kitchen floor and was happy with the sales staff at airbase as they walked me through the various options, helped me obtain samples to take with me so I could see how they appeared in home lighting and were responsive to my many questions. The outstanding part of this experience was the installation process. Carlos and his team were polite, knowledgeable, and quickly had the floor installed. There was a problem with the appearance of some of the tiles and Carlos himself came to inspect it on a Saturday and replaced the tiles that day even though they had no responsibility for the problem. He was so nice and sincere and concerned that I was happy with the final product and went out of his way to make sure everything was resolved that day. read more

This was not because of my delay. Over 72 hours before they called me to schedule the measure. Then one week until they could come out and measure. Then one week later, I had not heard anything so I had to call twice to find out that they were now going to order the carpet. Another 2 weeks go by, and i have to call again to ask if it came in!! During the contract signing and subsequent phone calls, 2 day install was not mentioned. I call the store to ask why they didn't inform us and Kevin Keane the manager was rude and impatient saying that it depends on the thickness of the carpet (same thickness by the way) and gave no guarantee saying it depends on their subcontractors (basically saying once they sell the carpet it is out of their hands and up to the subcontractors what they want to do). Whatever you do don't buy carpet here. Bought the carpet. Went to vacuum it the next day. Carpet was SO loose that the vacuum sucked it up. Ripples in about an 8 foot area. Inspected it closer - the tack strips were pulling up! Called to complain - couldn't get someone out here for a week. Said he'll be here between 9 and 11. Said this guy never has complaints and that he's been with them for 30 years. Well that's weird because the installer wasn't 40 years old and told me he came from Miller's Carpet! Never called and never showed up!! Called them AGAIN- oh his van broke down and I guess we forgot to call you. Ok - set up 2nd appointment for repair. NEVER SHOWED a 2nd time. Called them again - oh he's in his way to you in Townsend. Well that's funny because I live in Elkton. Oh wow - another mistake. Made a THIRD appointment. Showed up this morning - UNPREPARED. Said he needed heat to fix the carpet or it will just keep happening. Well didn't you know that when you installed it? Can't fix it today! Completely unacceptable. We purchased luxury vinyl plank flooring from Airbase, using their installers to have it put in. The installers reeked of marijuana, left trash, nails, scrap flooring and quarter round, and opened but unused boxes of flooring (making them un-returnable) scattered everywhere after they left, and worst of all, never advised us that the floors needed leveling, and proceeded to install the flooring without leveling the subfloor, leaving us with floors that are uneven, bowing, and literally bouncing off the subfloor with every step. Every inch was done sloppy. It's been almost 8 MONTHS since install and we've been given the runaround ever since, promising a solution and telling us what we want to hear, but showing no accountability or urgency in making things right, even requesting MORE PAYMENT to correct what should have been done right in the first place. Bought area rugs here recently. Found the selection was decent and we lucked out that there was a sale and also coupon for free padding. I picked up two extra rugs because of the great sale but was unsure if the size was right. Sales person said that I could return if needed. I found they were to small and suddenly my sales person had amnesia and refused to honor the sales price or free padding offer for the larger size. I was planning to get carpet installed in the bedrooms from Airbase, no way will I ever buy a thing from them again. Had carpet purchased from Air Base installed by them March of 2019. Carpet was installed in living room, dining area and 2 bedrooms. About a month ago I noticed that the carpeting was rippling in all rooms and getting worse quickly. Took my paperwork to Air Base and spoke with a manager. He informed me that installation was under warranty for only 2 years. So I missed their cut off by 6 months? What? He insisted that that is longer than most places - which is not true. He only offered to give me the number of one of their installers so someone could come out and stretch it - and charge me of course. Why in the world would I want one of their installers to do anything else to the carpet when one of them installed the carpet poorly. This place has been in existence for as long as I can remember. We went there for kitchen tile. Here comes the sales guy. I asked him AT LEAST 3 times to 'let me look'. He's like my shadow. We did purchase, the stuff was a good price, and it was in stock (these are both huge PROS, because Home Depot and Lowe's have terrible selections, and Avalon has beautiful tile, but they're 21 days out for 'quick ship' items). However, I was super annoyed by the high pressure style of the sales persons. Just an FYI, you have to be as aggressive as these guys are in order to get some peace in the store. read more

Regarding New Castle DE location. I had to at least select 1 star in order to leave a comment, otherwise it would've been 0. They overcharged us $415.87 that we're praying will go back on my card for items we didn't order and most we didn't need to do the job. In smaller writing under each item says "Special Order item: No returns or exchanges". We only picked out carpet, padding, and floor tiles. We paid $35 for someone to come out and measure. So they should've known what I needed. We were having carpet in the living room, stairs, and hall and flooring in the diningroom. We purchased the most expensive padding in which they precut and says they're 30'. NOT! The carpet we had installed. Originally we were going to have the flooring installed as well but because that couldn't be done until January and our new diningroom set arrives next weekend, I decided to do it myself. I'm glad I did otherwise this discovery would not have been made. The carpet installer Henrich was very dishonest and deceiving. When his helper was about to carry the last roll in he told him they didn't need it. So he left it on the ground next to the van. Henrich told me that they were rolls of 30' and that was extra. Our house is small. Me having a copy of the floorplan and watching as he laid it out, knew he was lying. He was trying to keep it. He knew I was on to him and asked me if I wanted to keep it? At first I wasn't going to keep it but after speaking with Ashley who works there, she said that the padding was what I purchased and could be refunded. There was another 8' piece left and Henrich's helper who confirmed that Henrich was trying to get over but I wasn't having it, told me to take that too because they will refund me per square ft. 23x6 = $164.18 refund. Keep in mind Henrich told me that they were all '30 rolls. To make it easier to install, he made the cuts to meet the floorplan. After discovering we were charged for so many extra items for the flooring, which included: 1 case of tiles @125.72. It would've been 2 cases but 1 tile was needed for a mistake. 1 - 7'10" endcap @69.99. I only need 3' so why charge me for 2. 2 - 7'10" quarter round custom molding @27.99 a piece. 6 would've been more than enough to do the job. They look nice but are made of something that's not wood with a cheesy coating. There for are not miter saw friendly. Stairnose @89.99 that I don't need but decided to keep. Funny how all the flooring items are considered "Special Order items". When I went back to address this issue, the manager Stewart only wants to say that I shouldn't have been refunded for the padding. The overcharging for the flooring now was my main issue. I was refunded for the padding so that for me was resolved. He agreed to reimburse me $251.69. During the whole entire time of me trying to get this resolved, the refund for the padding that he claims I shouldn't have received was his only concern. This became a back and forth shouting match in which I never once cursed. I showed him an item T-molding @$69.99 that I was charged for and and didn't receiv. At first he was going to include that in the refund. He questioned my honesty even after I told him that I was a Reverend. He didn't give that to me. His only concern still was the padding. At this point, I said "let's finish this business so that I can get home to my wife and child!". He says "tell your wife that you shouldn't have received a refund for the padding!". I went back the next day with the paper the guy gave me when I picked up the materials showing the number of items I received. Stewart's only concern again was the padding. I clearly showed him that I was charged for the T-molding @$69.99 that I didn't receive. He said that he would only refund it if I gave him the money back for the padding refund. Again this wasn't the issue. Another shouting match started. At this point I'm furious and I banged my fist on the table but never once cursed. He said "you ain't sh*t" as all of the employees stood around. I said "oh you want to curse?". Even after this I never once cursed him. He asked me to leave and because I didn't agree to return the padding refund, he wasn't going to refund me for the item I never received. Before this purchased, I've done business there several times in the past. All went well. I have 2 other bedrooms that needs new carpet. We going to remodel the kitchen including new flooring and basement flooring. He said that "I was the most difficult person he had ever dealt with and told me don't ever come back!". I don't believe that a person refusing to be overcharged is being difficult. That was the worst customer service I've ever received and I will take my business elsewhere! read more

Check your materials against what you bought. They sent different material than what I had purchased. They admitted that they probably sold my order and gave it to someone else. Now I am waiting for the material and install with empty bedrooms and no place to sleep. read more

After being really disappointed in the carpet I ordered online for my son's nursery, I was resigned to believing that if I wanted good quality, I would have to shell out some serious dough. My Mom told me that was not the case and we headed to Airbase on Saturday afternoon. I did not want anything too intense - just something simple and neutral. We were greeted by Walt, who was so incredibly helpful and nice. We had an array of choices in the back and I have to say, I was shocked by the prices and the quality. I was so happy that I bought an area rug for our family room as well, two rugs for under $200. They are both great! There is really no reason to spend more. read more

If you go in the store, you'll find a few nice things in the tile area and be attacked by the stalker salespeople who will not leave you alone no matter how many times you ask. If you call, you'll either be put on hold and left there, or talk to someone who may or may not be able to spell your last name after repeating it 10 times. read more

We will never use Airbase Carpet again! We wasted 13 hours of our holiday weekend waiting around for these bozos. They have zero respect for their customers' time. This was the worst installation process we have ever experienced and we have done a lot of projects in our home, including flooring. The windows we were given for both measuring and installation were ridiculous. We were told they would be here between 11-3 for both. So for measuring we had to wait around our house all day only for the guy to show up at 2:30 to measure. For installation we waited around all day again and when 3 rolled around and still no installers, my husband called. He was basically called a liar when he told the manager Angie that we were given a window of 11-3. She told him "no one here would have told you that". Well someone did and it was their salesman, so rather then apologizing and admitting their error, they called us liars. They said they have no control over their subcontractors schedule. Well they pay their subcontractors so they must have SOME level of control over them! Their excuse was that the installers ran late on the job before us and were on their way. It would have been nice to know this before 3pm, when we were left wondering if they had forgotten us. The installers didn't arrive until 4:30pm and were at our house installing the new carpet until 8pm!! After they left we still had to reassemble our bedroom. Again, zero respect for their customers' time by sending installers to our house that late in the day! They don't manufacture the carpets, so carpet companies really only offer three things: customer service, price, and scheduling/coordination. Airbase carpet failed at all three. Have purchased carpet and other flooring from this business on several occasions. They are by far the best in the region. From the owner to the managers to the sales staff and installers. All give excellent customer service. The pricing beat every other flooring company that I went to....the only downside is that they have TOO MANY SELECTIONS to choose from! If you can't find the type, style and color of carpet that you are looking for here then it probably just doesn't exist. By far the best. read more
