Had a good attitude, answered my questions, provided estimates for potential service work in the future, even voiced concerns for future issues that our unit from '09 is likely to face. After initial excuses, the owner, Tim Smith, said the installation would be done by September 18. When I called him on September 23, he gave me "his word" it would be done by September 25. They missed that deadline too. Since that September 23 call, I've received no update and have been unable to get a response for nearly a month and multiple calls. As of October 16, they still have my deposit and two units have not been installed. Taking half the payment, missing repeated commitments, and then going silent is unacceptable. This company is a scam and the owner is not trustworthy.

Mark came out at 11pm, diagnosed the issue, and had the new part installed by 11am the following morning. Based on the first positive experience, I recently had Mark out to do a full HVAC replacement of my old system. Mark communicated what was needed, and had an extremely fair quote. During install, Mark and team used drop cloths, boot covers, and were extremely considerate. New system was installed within the same day, and has been working perfectly. Can't recommend this company enough!

We recommend Specialty heating most highly, they are honest, professional and trustworthy.

We have a 2200 sf ranch with a full finished 2200 sf basement. When finishing the basement they rebuilt all the ventilation to code, so, it is some of the nicer space in the house! They installed a 6 zone system which supplies the main areas evenly throughout both floors. It is efficient, cost effective, and we are very comfortable. Technicians have always been on time and courteous. Working with owner's Russ and Cookie is always a delight. Update: Our AC died in August. Lovely timing. We needed to replace the entire system to get the newer coolant standard. Once again Russ and his install team were excellent, courteous and thorough. Very happy with our new AC, even though we only had a month to enjoy it!

WARNING: Justin C Mullins Took $2,560 deposit, failed to do job/deliver equipment, refused refund…read more I am writing this to warn other homeowners about my experience with Justin. After doing a small repair for me in January, I hired him in September 2026 for a full HVAC replacement quoted at $7,560, scheduled for October 5. Before the install date, he requested multiple advance payments: Sept. 24: Paid $560 down payment. Sept. 28: Paid $800 extra for a larger 2.5-ton A/C unit. Oct. 2: Paid $1,200 after he promised to drop off the equipment at my garage that day. He never dropped off any equipment. On the scheduled install day (Oct. 5) and the days following, he failed to show up, repeatedly offering personal excuses via text. On Oct. 7, after he failed to arrive yet again, I canceled the project and demanded my money back. Out $2,560 with zero work done and zero equipment delivered, he refused to refund me. I have filed a dispute with my bank and submitted a police report for fraud and theft. Please be extremely cautious and protect your money.

While in the middle of a heat wave, our AC stopped cooling the house down. We called Guaranteed…read moreHeating and Cooling and they came out. After looking at our compressor, condenser, and HVAC, the technician told my wife that we needed a new compressor at a minimum, which would be $10k and suggested we replace our HVAC for an additional $6k. As I was away from home due to work, she called relaying this information to me. I requested she get a 2nd and even 3rd opinion. She contacted another company that came out and within 3 mins of being there he showed my wife that the breaker had been flipped off, which is why the condenser wasn't working. He also told my wife that there was nothing wrong with our condenser or HVAC other than it needed Freon. This person from the 2nd company told my wife that since our unit took R22 freon he could not service it as he did not carry R22. He was very nice, did not try to sell my wife anything but told her that the only way he could fix it was to replace the unit with a newer version. He suggested we reach out to another company that carries R22 as it would be far cheaper. We contacted the person that originally installed the condenser and HVAC and he came out. He put 3lbs of R22 freon in and it worked great after that, only charging us $450 for the service, freon, and repair. The person from Guaranteed Heating and Cooling deliberately shut off my breaker to my condenser and tried to sell my wife a overpriced system that I didn't need. They tried to take advantage of a woman, thinking she would not know any better. If it wasn't for my brother-in-law stepping in, they would have probably gotten away with it. When my Brother-in-law called to request her money back for the service call since they were blatantly dishonest, the Guaranteed person tried lying to him, saying he just spoke to me, her husband. When my brother-in-law called him out on the lie, because I wasn't even in the country at the time, he tried to back out and said he was talking about another customer. This tells me they tried this an another customer that day as well. DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL SCAM YOU!
