After looking at our compressor, condenser, and HVAC, the technician told my wife that we needed a new compressor at a minimum, which would be $10k and suggested we replace our HVAC for an additional $6k. As I was away from home due to work, she called relaying this information to me. I requested she get a 2nd and even 3rd opinion. She contacted another company that came out and within 3 mins of being there he showed my wife that the breaker had been flipped off, which is why the condenser wasn't working. He also told my wife that there was nothing wrong with our condenser or HVAC other than it needed Freon. This person from the 2nd company told my wife that since our unit took R22 freon he could not service it as he did not carry R22. He was very nice, did not try to sell my wife anything but told her that the only way he could fix it was to replace the unit with a newer version. He suggested we reach out to another company that carries R22 as it would be far cheaper. We contacted the person that originally installed the condenser and HVAC and he came out. He put 3lbs of R22 freon in and it worked great after that, only charging us $450 for the service, freon, and repair. The person from Guaranteed Heating and Cooling deliberately shut off my breaker to my condenser and tried to sell my wife a overpriced system that I didn't need. They tried to take advantage of a woman, thinking she would not know any better. If it wasn't for my brother-in-law stepping in, they would have probably gotten away with it. When my Brother-in-law called to request her money back for the service call since they were blatantly dishonest, the Guaranteed person tried lying to him, saying he just spoke to me, her husband. When my brother-in-law called him out on the lie, because I wasn't even in the country at the time, he tried to back out and said he was talking about another customer. This tells me they tried this an another customer that day as well. DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL SCAM YOU!

However, I…read morefeel I need to share my story with anyone thinking of calling this company for their furnace needs. We bought a house back in 2012 and were given a home warranty that would last one year. We've renewed this warranty every year and up until last year they would always send out All-Knight when our furnace would act up. Our furnace would act up about every four months. It wouldn't blow out any hot air, it would try to kick on but just couldn't. We would call the home warranty folks, they would send out All-Knight. The tech would go in the basement, hang out for maybe ten minutes and say it was all fixed! It was just a dirty heat sensor. And the furnace would work again.....for about four months. We dealt with All-Knight so often that we were on a first name basis with the receptionist, Brenda. We almost invited her over for Thanksgiving!! After YEARS of dealing with this, our home warranty company finally switched to a different HVAC company. Last fall the furnace wouldn't work as usual, we called like we always did. However, this time they sent out an unfamiliar face, a gentleman who was not from All-Knight. He took one look at our furnace and asked "Who has been messing with this furnace???" As soon as I said All-Knight he recognized the name and said I am not the first customer to throw out that name when having constant furnace issues. I told him that it should only take him a second to fix because it's always the heat sensor according to All-Knight, and he just shook his head. He worked on it for about 30 minutes and it has never broken since. It's been over a year!! I think the evidence is pretty clear that the home warranty company as well as us, were scammed all those years. I would avoid these guys at all costs!! Or your cost may be way higher than you could ever dream of!!

While I was still leaving my info, Barry, the owner called me back (that was fast). Barry provided in-depth detail on his business and emphasized that his company only did air duct cleaning and what the process was. He then went online, looked up my property, and then provided a quote over the phone. I was shocked at how affordable the service was, additionally, they are Veteran friendly. An appointment was scheduled for a couple of days later. Barry sent me an email with the estimate and appointment details. On the morning of the scheduled appointment, Kirk, my technician arrived on time "on the Dot". He was cleanly and professionally dressed. We walked through the house, and I showed him where the air handler and all the vents were. He then set up and began his work. He finished, as promised, at the two-hour mark (+/- a few minutes). Kirk answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about his job. I paid the invoice with a credit card/ debit card, there is a 3% surcharge for this (cash is better and would have saved me around $15.00). According, to the 1st time stamp which I did immediately after I received the survey. He stated, he would personally come out to my house. Then when I asked him to shut off the water valve in my Grandson's closet to my water softener tank in the panel, and wait an hour, to see if the valve moved....because I cannot physically do this, and this would at least tell us if we have H20 in the house if it moves. If it does not move no leaks. Because, I cannot physically do with medical conditions I have. He REFUSED, stated, "You know what I can tell this 2nd trip will go badly. And just HUNG UP ON ME!" I tried to give this company a chance to make it right. After they texted me, saying they would make it right. Every job is plugged into a category and prices are set by category. You might have a job that takes half an hour or one that takes 2 hours, but they'll both be charged at the same (astronomic) rate. Had a leaking drain pipe under the kitchen sink. Needed new seals and maybe a section of plastic pipe replaced. Less than an hour job. Plumber came out and quoted $700. These people do not apply the $99 trip charge to repairs. After expressing outrage he lowered the quote to $400, plus the $99 trip charge. And tried to make it sound like he was doing a big favor. So $500 for a less than an hour job that even with $100 an hour for labor should have been $200 or so. I ate the trip charge and showed him the door. But if you like expensive plumbing repairs this is the place for you. No job too small to charge huge money for.
