We recently purchased a brand new AC + duct work from Quality Breeze…read more.. I have used many AC companies for installs and repairs in several homes over the years and I must say that Quality Breeze is by far the most professional company I have ever dealt with. Their pricing was incredible- I had 3 other quotes on the same installation and Quality Breeze beat them all! We were given many options and price points to choose from for the install and were never pressured into anything. The technicians were neat and clean (during the install and clean-up after), they answered all of my questions and explained everything that they were doing as they were doing it. The company was 100% on-time for each day of work- which is rare in Miami!!! I am proud to say that Quality Breeze surpassed my every expectation. I will NEVER use a different AC company and I give Quality Breeze the highest recommendation possible!

They made sure to make the entire experience as painless and effortless as possible, while still being extremely transparent with me about the costs. I first met with a gentleman by the name of Matt who came over to give me a free estimate. He came wearing gloves and a mask and was very polite following all of the CDC guidelines within my home. A few days later I had the pleasure of having Drew and William who did a killer job explaining to me what the duct cleaning entailed, and making sure that no stone was left unturned when cleaning my air ducts. The difference in the air quality of my home now is NIGHT & DAY. I could not have asked for a better HVAC company to work with, they definitely have my business in the future.

We have been using Direct for almost 20 years. We have actually purchased four air conditioners…read morefrom them and they've done all the servicing. I just had a new one installed in December. The other day our other one died. We had just had them service it last month and was told it's fine!! So we had a nice young man from Direct air come in and run tests and he quoted us $2288.46 to repair it. He also said that it's an old unit (2014), so it would be better to get a new one and we received a quote for just under $12,000. We told him we needed to think about it and spent two nights with no air!! We decided to look up how much a motor would actually cost and they were only about $650! Wondered why we were quoted so much, so I called another company who said my unit was perfectly good and replaced the part for $900!! I asked him how much a new unit would cost and he said around $7500! That's over a $5000 difference!!! I'm just gutted that I trusted this company for so many years and feel as though I've been getting ripped off! He also told me the air conditioner wasn't hooked up correctly and it was a low setting and was allowing a lot of humidity in the air, and he also removed a blue light that direct had installed too close to the wires and it was an electric fire waiting to happen! I don't know anything about air conditioners but I thought you can trust the professionals to do a good job when they install it, and it's just horrible to find out you just can't!!!

I swear you can't live in this state especially in South Florida without either of the two. About two weeks ago I was working from home and noticed my home was getting progressively hotter to the point that in the afternoon my home was 85 degrees. I knew my a/c was shot because that is definitely not normal. I hopped on Angie's List at approximately 1:30 to quickly find an A/C technician. I messaged one and they said an A/C technician would come in 3 hours... wow that's quick... I thought it would be a day or two to send someone out. Guy came and looked over my A/C.... my condenser coils were frozen... he said it would first need to defrost for a day before he can get in there and see what's wrong. Obviously I wasn't going to deal with sweltering heat so I booked a room at a nearby hotel. The next day after it defrosted he came by and fixed my a/c and I began again to feel the wonderful cool goodness of a/c.... ahhhhhh brisk! If you need A/C repair call these guys!

The first technician charged us $69 for a diagnostic check and left--and the exact second he walked out the door, our brand-new system completely stopped working. They sent a second technician out who couldn't figure out the problem, so he charged us an extra $289 to clean a drain line. Even after clearing the drain, the AC still didn't work. Magically, after he called the first technician to consult, the system suddenly started running again. It is painfully obvious that something was tripped or mishandled during the first visit to manufacture a breakdown, allowing them to bill us for unnecessary work. To top it all off, they are fighting a legitimate credit card dispute. Shady tactics, unneeded charges, and terrible accountability. Avoid this company.

And when her AC finally bit the dust, my mom shopped around for several quotes.  And naturally, she found that Nelson provided the most honest and practical advise.  As a result, Nelson replaced my mother's AC.  He moved the old unit from the attic, where no one could ever access it, down to a closet that is easily accessible for my tiny mother.  Over the years, Nelson not only took care of my mother's unit, but also my sister's and eventually my unit.  He and his son are busy people. What I appreciate the most is that when I call, even if they don't answer, they return my call everytime shortly after.  Nelson Sr. arrives as promised. He is easy to talk to and he will tell you what the problem is, the remedy and the cost.  After a hurricane passed several years ago, with the power going on and off, it caused for something inside the AC to short and burn. Smoke was everywhere in my house and we were absolutely terrified.  I called Nelson Sr and despite the weather and the aftermath debris of the hurricane, he drove all the way down to Homestead a few hours later and was able to replace the part that burned.  We had our air back in no time. He educated me and informed me that the AC I have did not come with the original house because the unit is far too small, therefore it is having to work double time to cool the house. He made recommendations and assured me that whenever I am ready for an upgrade, that he will be there to walk me through every step of the way. Now, whenever someone ask me "do you know an AC guy?" I am confident to say "I do!" and I am happy to recommend Nelson.

All ok...so I don't know what is wrong. It was a Sunday and I found Tempzone through good reviews here on Google as well as Yelp. Christian was in contact and professional, came out checked and quickly said it was the AC capacitor. Fine, please replace and get our AC back cooling. Job was done in minutes. Great....until I got the cost....$275! $275 for a "job" that was done in minutes and a part that I could buy at Home Depot for $15-$30. Not cool (pun). My advice would be to certainly get the price of the job before you get the work done. Way too expensive for a simple job. I looked it up on youtube and this is literally a few screws and disconnect/reconnect the new part. Simple. I understand the time to come out and so on but $275 for an inexpensive part and 15 minutes of actual time on site for the job??? Christian was on time, in communication, professional and the work was done correctly to get our AC cooling again...but the price was not in line for the job and part needed. Will not use them in the future.
