Air Green Solution cleaned the dryer vent lines for my condominium unit and the unit above me (two homes) yesterday, August 6, 2026. They got the job done. I rate the overall experience three (OK) to four (good) stars - I'll give them three on Yelp since they basically made me leave them five on Google (you can read more about that below). I have no other dryer vent cleaning experience to compare them to.
Our upstairs neighbor found Air Green through a parents group. He said Air Green was very responsive in setting up the appointment. They were able to come out the next day. We live in Atlantic Station (Midtown).
Originally, only my neighbor was going to have Air Green clean his dryer vent because it was clogged and causing condensation to leak into my unit. Air Green accessed his ductwork inside the ceiling of my unit.
There were two technicians: Project Manager Gali, who has been with Air Green for about four years, and Brandon. After finishing the job for my neighbor, Gali offered to snake her camera through my dryer vent line to show me the lint buildup from the past 21+ years. Since they were already in my unit with their equipment, I decided to go ahead and get my line cleaned too.
I was quoted $20 per foot for the cleaning. My line is 15 feet, so it worked out to $326.70 after tax (8.9%). Before agreeing, I asked Gali if $300 plus tax was the total and she said yes, that was the "total total." However, I ended up spending a total of $452.36 because:
1. Flexible Pipe: I added a "flexible pipe" for $49 plus tax. I decided to replace the 21+ year old flexible pipe that goes from my dryer to the wall vent.
By the way, for this, they removed the ring that attached the old one to my dryer and used tape instead. I'm unsure if that's standard or better.
2. Unexpected Tip Prompt: Tipping is generally not normal or expected for dryer vent cleaning. During the payment process on Gali's phone, I was hit with an unexpected tip prompt. I was put on the spot in an awkward situation, standing next to the employees, and pressured to tip. The lowest tip option was 15%. For me, the tip worked out to be an additional $59.
My neighbor spent significantly more because his line is longer. He told me 23 feet and Gali told me 25 feet, with the same quote of $20 per foot. Also, he had an extra line item on his bill for condensation. His buildup was significantly worse than mine, and Gali and Brandon did more work to clean out his line compared to mine. I watched them do both lines.
For my unit, they were able to clean the entire vent line from the outside. For my neighbor's unit, they cleaned his entire line from inside my unit and his unit (they couldn't access his from the outside because it was too high).
For both of our units, they were on site for over four hours.
Gali was a boss and hustled - she was on top of the situation, knew what to do, and navigated going up and down between two condo units inside and out. At the end of each job, she snaked the camera through the line to show me it was fully clear.
At certain points, it was pushy/salesy, which I did not like. For example, after the job was done, Gali said they were doing a competition and had me write and submit a five-star Google review for Air Green Solution. She stood by until I completed it. Sus.
They were in a rush to do my job, probably because it was added on unexpectedly. They told me they had two more jobs to do and it was after 4:30pm by the time they left our property.
I had to do quite a bit of cleanup (e.g., vacuuming) and putting things back myself after they left. Also, some paint came off my wall from the tape they used to hang protective sheets. read more
