This is a highly suspicious organization for contractors, and we do not recommend working with…read morethem. We received a request through Thumbtack to visit a commercial property and clear a drain blockage. From the beginning, the situation seemed unusual because we were instructed to represent ourselves as "Califix," a Florida-based company, instead of our own licensed business. We informed them that we charge a service call fee but decided to help the client anyway. Upon arrival, we discovered that the end customer was actually working with System4, which had subcontracted the work to Califix. Califix then appeared to source local contractors through platforms like Yelp and Thumbtack and instructed them to perform the work under the Califix name rather than their own. During our visit, we needed access to a locked room in order to complete the service. Because of the communication chain, every step had to be approved through Califix, who presumably had to coordinate with System4. We were also instructed not to disclose our repair price to the customer, apparently because Califix was adding its own markup. Ultimately, we were never paid our agreed service call fee, and no one was able to provide access to the locked room, making it impossible for us to complete the job. What concerned us even more was that we were unable to find California contractor licenses for either Califix or System4, despite both companies advertising or coordinating plumbing, electrical, and other services that typically require a California contractor's license. This raised serious concerns about their business practices. Based on our experience, we intend to report this matter to the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). We cannot recommend working with this organization due to its lack of transparency and the way it treated both its customer and our company.

I never write reviews on Yelp because I'm a busy professional with impossibly high standards…read more Rarely do I come across a service or person that warrants any sort of review. But this review is beyond well deserved. I felt that the general public deserved to know what stellar services I received from Uri and his company at Blue. I had the misfortune of buying a 30-year old property that was seemingly in okay condition when I moved to Daly City, only to learn that it was full of issues, both in the general living area and the attic, which the previous owner had sealed up. Once we cut the attic entry Uri and his team got to work not only inspecting and sanitizing the contaminated areas, but he also did a thorough and meticulous job cleaning my entire HVAC both from the attic and from each individual room. He also inspected and cleaned my furnace, and it was in a very poor/dirty condition. Watching him, it's very clear he knows what he's doing. He has a pride of workmanship and that to me is one of the most important (and rare) qualities for a business because if they are not proud of their work, what do they stand for? Uri is also honest and straightforward; I know I can always get a truthful answer from him about work that he recommends or that needs to be done. My work with Uri and his team is not over yet as there is more left to remediate in my attic due to a rodent issue, but I trust Uri to take this on, and I really can't say that about many people or businesses. As a younger person that is very self-reliant and used to solving my own problems, this is one issue I could not do alone. I am just so thankful I found Uri and his team, and I would definitely hire him again in the future (he is already hired for my yearly duct cleanings!). He has made a situation (rodents, old decrepit HVAC) bearable and is helping me tackle these issues as the weeks go by. It's quite a process to remediate an attic and you need someone with patience that isn't just going to leave the job mid-way unfinished. Thanks again to Uri and his team for their ongoing work on my now-improving house situation.

Genesis Handymen and Janitorial's bid came in at least a thousand dollars lower than all the other bids. So after checking their references and realizing they come highly recommended, they were awarded the job. In fact, the owner was the one who pointed out the imperfections and said he'd come back to fix them. They spackled and repainted the main walls, covered up a hole in the wall that we had made an entryway between offices, removed a window from one office to a production room and stripped and waxed the floors. Overall, I give them 5 out of 5 stars for getting more than what we paid for and finishing the job on time.

I hired this company for a move‑in cleaning based on what their website advertised. My booking…read moreemail confirmation came from "CA Maids," and the reply‑to address was PacificMaids.com, which was confusing but I proceeded. Before booking, I spoke with a male representative who confirmed that inside‑appliance cleaning was included in the move‑in package. When the cleaners arrived, I even saw them cleaning the inside of the fridge, so I had no reason to think inside appliances cleaning was not included. After we moved in, I discovered the bottom fridge vent was still extremely dirty. I sent a video to Ava and received no response. When I called to follow up, Ava told me inside‑appliance cleaning was not included and insisted she was the one who spoke with me initially and told me this. She also said the cleaners were "no longer with the company," but that she would reach out to them and call me back. She never did. When I pointed out that their website clearly lists "appliance deep clean" under the move‑in package, Ava told me the website was wrong and needs to be updated. Throughout the conversation, Ava's tone suggested that I had misunderstood their services, rather than acknowledging that their own information was inconsistent and that the issue needed to be remedied. There was no accountability and no effort to correct the situation. Only after I said I would leave a review and not use them again did she offer a discount on a future cleaning -- which does nothing to address the job I already paid for. We spoke about a week or so ago, and the website is still not updated. The website, the staff's actions, and what she was telling me all contradict each other. The cleaning itself was fine, initial communication was nice and timely, but the inconsistent information, and lack of follow‑through after the issue was raised were unacceptable. I would not recommend this business.
