We fell upon this place by accident on our way to Subway but we are glad we did. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was really fresh!! Now this is our first Poke place to eat at but we were pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Don't worry if you don't like raw, they have cooked shrimp, chicken, eggs and crab salad for your choice of protein in addition to the raw proteins. This is like the only gem in Richmond eatery for me as of now. I didn't have high expectations, but I was overall satisfied with this purchase. Poke is overall good and tasted fresh, and I like how you can get white and brown rice mixed together. The staff are quite nice. If you check in on yelp, you get a cold ice slushy dessert or you can let it melt and it tastes like pina colada (no alcohol). The staff also offered me free miso soup and a free iced tea! I really liked their lychee iced tea 10/10. You have to mix it first, but the drink was not too sweet so it was perfect! This lychee iced tea was by far the best one I've ever tasted. Their lychee jelly tasted really soft and very flavorful, so I enjoy that as well. Their drink menu isn't as large (then again, this place is a poke place) but they have many toppings. We just paid $17 for a regular sized bowl of poke that included an extra scoop of crab meat & avocado. Not sure how that happened.

I came at opening time (11am) and the first thing you notice is the cleanliness of the place. The high ceilings and pretty light fixtures really open up the area too. There's a menu that gives you instructions step by step how to order your poke. There's three sizes, (same size bowl, different amount of scoops). I got a small bowl with traditional poke (white rice, tuna, green onion, shoyu). I got a small bowl with my own toppings (white rice, salmon, crab meat, avocado, masago, seaweed, spicy mayo). There's complimentary water and miso soup at the counter. The miso soup was just ok in my opinion, most often it's salty but this was wasn't at all which was surprising and I actually wanted the salt. And I got red bean and green tea ice cream for dessert, which complimented each other so well. The tuna didn't taste like tuna or maybe it wasn't a good tuna cut bc it was chewy and pretty tasteless. The salmon on the other hand was very good, it was soft and had a melt in your mouth texture. You get sauce of your choice in both the base and protein so if you like sauce you can go crazy. I liked how the toppings were endless and the only ones that cost extra were masago and avocado (the best part about the avocado is you get several slices of it instead of a measly little scoop like most places in Houston). One other neat and different thing this place offers customers is a cooked protein (chicken). Throughout my time here I saw many types of people come in, different ethnicities, repeaters and first timers. There was only one worker manning the front while the sushi chef was in the back and she was kind and even offered samples to customers to try the sauces. When people dined in and left she would clean up their tables immediately so it'd be spotless. It's in a great location at the shops at Bella Terra and I'll be back to eat here whenever I'm in the area. read more

This was our first time eating poke. It was good. My daughter and I each got to customize to our like. I felt there is more I could add to my poke, will try that next time. My two kids also ordered ramen, they loved their ramen so much. Will definitely come back. They have big bowls for take out, so it is no big deal that we couldn't dine in. Aina Poke is the best they are family owned and the food is always fresh! My usual is a large bowl with mixed greens, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and scallops, for toppings it's seaweed salad with crab meat, edamame, jalapeños, mango and furikake with spicy mayo. My husband and I first tried it on October 23rd of 2023 and ever since that day we've been hooked. That was a Monday and we ate it again maybe 2 or 3 times more that week. All of those orders had been placed through Grubhub some for delivery and others for pickup. When we would go pick up the orders they would always greet us and were so polite. A few weeks later when we went back we decided to just go in and place our order and the staff was once again so kind. We've been back numerous times and the service is always five stars along with the food. 10/10 would recommend. I would also recommend eating there it's always so peaceful and chill and it's always been clean. So far the only beverage I've had from Aina is the mango lemonade with boba which I would also recommend. read more

I thought it was pretty good. The house sauce with a drizzle of spicy mayo married the whole bowl quite nicely. My only complaint is the to go bowl is very shallow which means there isn't a lot of rice that goes in there. Usually at other places I would get full off of a small bowl.
