The food was delicious but pricey for a bowl. I didn't get a receipt so I'm not sure what =$16.13. I know the avocado was an additional $1.25, Ariana told me as she was making my bowl and I was fine with that, she was very kind... I built my own normal w/ mixed greens/brown rice, salmon and shrimp w/ corn, seaweed, crab, green onion, furikake (which was a first) but a bit salty. I probably had a few other ingredients but it's late and my brain is foggy. They had a few other patrons but service was good and quick. Their restroom was clean and didn't stink of sewage. I came by to pick up lunch for myself. I ordered half rice, half salad, regular size. With salmon and tuna. Half the sauce (washing citrus and eel). I like to taste more of the ingredients and the sauces can be overwhelming. You can have as much toppings as you'll like. The staff were super nice and quick. The avocado and masago eggs were a dollar extra each and she explained that before putting in my bowl with my confirmation. As you can tell with the photo, they really filled it up to the brim. You can easily make a regular bowl into two meals. The quality of the food fits the pricing. The salmon and tuna were super soft and fleshy. The only changes I would do is to chop the lettuce up more and dice the avocado before putting it in the bowl (to the owner, I think it's fine to leave half avocado in the tub but dice it after confirming with the customer that they want it to avoid any fruit waste). It'll be easier to eat with the other ingredients in the bowl. Sometimes I'll flick myself with some other food bits when trying to get the lettuce under the toppings. I did pick up only but the place looked clean and I love the fact they had some live plants near the front. They looked well kept and healthy so that tells me they take meticulous care of their restaurant in the front. Parking is free and out front. The roads in the plaza is kind of a round maze so make sure to pay attention to stop signs. read more

My own recommendation is to choose 1 sauce (not 2) and ask for a light coat; depending on who you get the sauce dump can get a little heavy for my taste if you're keeping it light only for taste vs texture Friendly staff and the internet is fast; quiet enough to work here if you need to. Ambient had fresh plants so the air cleans itself better. Only down side is the unisex bathroom. Not much else to say, solid and professional place to be eating at. read more

This is the best poke spot in Richmond! I've been here three different times, and the food is always good. Normally, I've ordered a regular size poke bowl, which is two scoops of a base, two scoops of protein, and other toppings and sauces. The yellowtail is well worth the extra dollar, and I really like the spicy salmon I've had as well. The wasabi citrus sauce is always a good option for anyone who can handle the extra kick, but the house sauce is another go-to for me. I think the staff is always nice when I visit, and it's usually clean inside the restaurant. I've been coming here for the past two years and it's hands down my go-to poke spot! The staff is always so welcoming every time I come in, and they never skimp on the portions. I believe it was the owners(?) who were greeting and taking everyone's orders and they were super nice and friendly. Considering the limited poke options in the Sugar Land area, I'm glad to have found a place that let you build your own bowl with unlimited toppings. I also ordered a milk tea with 50% sweet; if I were to order it again I'd probably up it to 75%. Only thing is that the bowls they use feel a little smaller than other poke places I've been to, leading to smaller portions overall even if the portions they're giving aren't actually small (if that made sense), but otherwise a really solid poke spot. read more

So the hunt for a "legit" poke bowl continues... We've drive by this place a lot! It's 5 minutes from our house but we've never stopped here...today was the day! I ordered two poke bowls and a lychee iced tea with lychee jelly...ordering was fast, albeit awkward when you can't see them mixing and adding everything. Customer service was good and efficient. My poke bowl consisted of tuna, shrimp, crab salad, avocado (a half chunk lol) and spicy mayo! Good: - portion size for the price was good - toppings were plentiful - avo was fresh and the portion was way more than other places Bad: - spicy mayo had no flavor (I know, right?!) - frozen fish was frozen (I know, Texas...) - avocado was halved and dumped in the bowl - rice was a little crunchy (undercooked) The wife's bowl and lychee tea consisted of tuna, cucumbers, onions, green onions, and ponzu sauce. * the wife says it's her least favorite poke bowl place we've tried yet* BUT...the lychee iced tea with lychee jelly was amazing! I went here for the first time with my best friend right before closing and the people were really nice! I got the white rice bowl and everything was perfect except for the shrimp. I understand it was right before closing, but the shrimp was just not appetizing and I feel like they should've told me it wasn't a good idea to get it. I didn't get sick so yay! My friend got pretty much the same thing as me except for the shrimp and she loved hers. Food: So like other Poke places you pick your base (white/brown rice, salad, or a mixture), and then you pick a protein! So there's an assortment of different proteins, but I went with the shrimp this time (just because it was cooked). Then you get to pick the sauce (I highly recommend the ponzu and spicy mayo) and finish it off with a variety of toppings (I got a whole bunch, but I will say the edamame, seaweed salad, fried onions, and furikake were all good together). Had three Xs on the floor labeled 1-3 and after 3, you had to wait outside. Masks are enforced. I only get Boba here so I'll be reviewing on that. And can I say I love the boba here?! Food: I like that it has an option for oat milk, which a lot of places don't have. It's a dollar extra. I've gotten matcha oat tea and Thai oat tea, both with boba. I like their cups a lot. You can drink from the straw, which they have a designated straw place and you can sip from it. Very clever design. I love love love the price. With tax it's about $5.50. And I'm matcha obsessed so it tasted well, same with Thai. I also love their tapioca. There soft and squishy which is the texture I want versus hard. Ambiance: the place is fairly cute. It has a nice design on the wall for those instagrammers, wanting their food pic. Nice lighting, cute and casual vibes with current music. Overall: it's close to where I'm currently staying. The lady comes out (I didn't get her name as I've never seen her working there before) and apologizes but they are completely out of white rice! Stumbled upon Aina accidentally once when I was craving poke and decided to step in to fulfill my cravings during the pandemic and then completely forgot about it again until just recently. To preface, this is not your average run-of-the-mill poke. It's EXCELLENT. The fish is spectacularly fresh and the salmon practically melts on your tongue. As with all things in this economy however, prices have increased a significant amount. I believe a large bowl ran me almost ~$18 or 19 without any addition of the up-charges like avocado or masago. As a once in a while treat, I think it's not too bad but certainly not affordable on a more consistent basis. You get your base, your protein, and then your toppings. Very straight forward ordering process in a Chipotle type of way, but guarantee it tastes way better. I did try a beverage this second go around and wasn't impressed with their boba, but had to try it once to know I didn't like it! The texture of the tapioca pearls just aren't firm enough for my liking and are almost *too* gelatinous (perhaps just overcooked.) The service was stellar, the store was clean, and I was even offered a free miso soup along with my meal due to a promotion on purchases of large bowls, so I was more ecstatic than usual. 9/10 would return again when the munchies or cravings hit, but it's a little out of my way and the location is slightly random. However, I would certainly recommend this establishment for poke lovers and newcomers! read more
