I recently had my first-ever Keratin lash lift and tint at Aiko's Lash Room, and overall, it was a great experience! As someone who usually does lash extensions and does not like to wear mascara due to smudging and other issues, I'm surprised I haven't done this sooner. Booking was fast and easy as it was via text. The studio truly lives up to its name -- it's a cozy, intimate space with just one bed, making it feel very personal and relaxing. I had my service done by Satomi, who was warm, professional, gentle, and made me feel at ease right away. I was initially a bit unsure, as she's older and I wondered if that might affect the precision of the treatment, but she proved me wrong -- she did a lovely job! She asked if I had any allergies before we started and recommended that black tint would be best for me. Took a lash nap and when I woke up, voilà! -- My lashes now look like my lashes but better -- lifted, darker, and more defined without looking overdone. She said it should last 6-7 weeks. I'm happy to not have to wear mascara and to take a break from extensions. *BUT* I did notice that a few lashes on my left eye near the outer corner were missed, but it wasn't a major issue and didn't take away too much from the overall look. I do wish for the amount that I paid, that every upper lash was taken into account! (I would still come back though.) I'm so glad I found Aiko again, she was one of the best lash technicians at Lash Milly and with some Google-fu and serendipitous chance, I found that she opened her own new studio in LIC. She is THE BEST at making lashes look natural (high quality soft lashes too), and I've never had any issues with burning or discomfort during the process. Her new studio is so cute and relaxing, it's very spacious too. She even offered me earplugs because there was a kids ballet studio next door which was a little loud, but it didn't bother me at all. The bed table was very comfortable and she even added an elevated leg rest, which is so thoughtful! Some tips: -you have to use the elevator to access the 2nd floor studio, the stairway access is locked -she offers $10 off if cash pay -try not to overthink on life things and just relax when you're there or your eyelids might uncomfortably twitch LOL Super happy with my lashes and will definitely be coming back! read more

Ok so... I literally JUST left Aiko's studio and I'm typing this as I'm heading home. This review literally could not wait. That was not a lash lift... it was a HEAVENLY EXPERIENCE! I got some old extensions removed (which cost an additional $5) and a Keratin lash lift (as of 7/17/2022 it's $100 with a promotion where you get $30 off your first visit) From entering Aiko's studio, I felt so calm. Her studio is clean, tidy, neat and decorated very nicely. It's got a grounded, minimalistic vibe. I arrived 10 minutes prior my appointment time and we got started right away as there were no clients before me. I told Aiko that I wanted it to look natural, and not too curly. She told me with my monolids, she suggests a curl a bit more than I was originally expecting. I trusted her and am happy she offered her expertise experience because it shows that she really understands the needs of each customer based on their eye shape and eye lids as well. The entire experience was amazing. The studio has such good energy (I literally can't explain it but you feel so good the minute you walk in). Aiko was so gentle, and it was so relaxing that I kept drifting in and out of consciousness. You could also just tell Aiko cares a lot about what she does. I could tell even with my eyes closed how meticulous she is with every step. I am so happy I found Aiko and I will definitely be a long time customer here. She gives you a cute little after care card after your visit. My lashes look natural and incredible. Aiko's Lash Room is the best place to get your lashes done hands down. I've been seeing her since March; her place doesn't compare to any other place. From booking via text and her being so accommodating to her studio being calming and serene to the lashes that she uses - everything is perfect. My lashes always look amazing, and I get so many compliments on them. She works with you to figure out what look you are going for - if you are looking for something a bit more natural or a bit more "wow" and takes the time to pick out the perfect length. I went to Aiko for lash extensions which I've had before, just not in years. And I had been doing the DIY kits myself at home, which I like, but they don't last too long and if I try to drag them out, my lashes come out with them! I had come in with an idea and old photos of what I had liked on me, and Aiko was so helpful and knowledgeable with what she advised me. We decided to go with 100pcs, but doubled, as in 2 pieces per hair(I think I remember that correctly?) and varying lengths and curls to give that wispy look. Her studio is absolutely hands down the best place you'd want to be for your appointment. SO comfortable the bed, the soft music, the space is so beautifully decorated and calming to be in. I've tried so many lash salons and this is by far my favorite. Recommended by a friend who also tried many lash salons. One bed room that's clean and well maintained. Comfy bed so I can easily take a nap while she does her thing. Her lashes are of better quality, super light and they last so long. I usually get a refill every 3 to 4 weeks. I've been having my eyelashes done continuously for over 7 years and Aiko is one the best. She's so gentle that more often than not I am dead asleep and snoring thru the whole appointment.
