I walked in to the lex ave location a few days ago. I was walking by and the sign said something like "no appointments needed." There were 2 girls sitting on stools doing nothing, and one girl working on a client. One of the girls got off her stool and approached me, with a real snotty attitude. I was kind of shocked to be honest. "What are you looking to have done?" I said, get my eyebrows shaped and tinted. "I'm not sure how much we can help you" was her unpleasant reply, I said ok, I'll go to the place up the street who are capable AND PLEASANT, unlike you. It always baffles me when someone in the service business is so incredibly unwelcoming. They can't survive without clients but act like you're bothering them. Bizarre. read more

Hit or miss. I've had great service that I'd 100% recommend and then others (unfortunately most often) have such attitude when I try to communicate my preference for eyebrow tint and wax. They always ask if I'm happy with my service from the last time. If they don't care or are going to have an attitude when I'm honest about my past service, then why ask? Finally taught myself to tint my own eyebrows because of how inconsistent the service here was but I still go back for waxing. Disappointingly, I had the same specialist for my past 2 waxes and despite telling her I only want a a light clean up around the edges, she makes my brows completely flat, no arch and honestly is quite rude. Others in the reviews seem to think this particular specialist is amazing, so it makes me think she's messing up intentionally. Not sure when flat/no shape eyebrows have ever been a look people request. Looking for another place for waxing, recommendations welcome. read more

My first lash lift was about 1.5-2 years ago and it was truly great. I couldn't remember the name of the salon/spa, so I just googled a new one. I had my second lash lift/tint last week at Bespoke Brows. I don't know my technician's name because she never told me. If you are going in for a quick eyebrow wax/shaping, fine. But do NOT let these people touch your lashes. When you enter, it's a little chaotic because there is no waiting area - there is just the open "salon area" / "waiting area" combined. You do not get to lie down in the dark. You are perched in VERY uncomfortable chairs for the entire procedure. Since then, I have looked around online and made some phone calls - this is NOT normal. A lash lift/tint is not a "comfortable" experience. Being forced to close your eyes while sitting in a very uncomfortable chair while listening to everyone bustling around you is unnerving. I felt like the technicians were running around from person to person- they would leave and then come back. It was not great. My eyes were stinging and someone else came over to ask if my eyes were feeling "spicy". I had at least 2 people work on my eyes, maybe more. It's now been a full week, and my eyes are in pain every time I blink. I'm constantly pouring eye drops into them. I have to go to an ophthalmologist this week to make sure nothing was scraped or damaged in the procedure. I took a shortcut. No reservations - quick in and out- my mistake. DO YOUR RESEARCH and go somewhere else. Really, a nightmare. read more

One of the technicians butchered my eyebrows-trimmed them so unevenly and had earlier convinced me to tint them and proceeded to put the dye so far around my brows, I looked like a lunatic. I was catching a flight the next morning and had to come back in later that night so they could wash it off. When I showed the technician how she butchered my eyebrows she said, "well at least the color is good" I'd get a word of mouth referral for a technician here. I got who was available. read more

Definite a plus they are drop-in only but that means the service is hit or miss. Despite open chairs at the front, I was seated in the back across from the overflowing garbage can. It is more of an aisle so the woman doing my brows was constantly readjusting to accommodate passersby. The brow work was average. And of course she asked me if I was satisfied and when I asked her to balance them out she basically lectured me on how no two brows are the same. I don't plan on returning as I have naturally balanced brow growth pattern and when I left I ended up having them fixed by another place the next day. Happy with the shape of my brows, though I wish they used ingredients ideal for all skin types, including sensitive skin. I wouldn't recommend Bespoke Brow for a wax or a lamination because 1) the wax is lavender based and lavender is a known skin sensitizer and 2) the lamination chemicals are nut based! It sort of baffles me that they would use such common allergens/sensitive skin irritants in their products. My technician waved off my lavender wax concerns because she said it would only be on my skin for "two seconds", but once she started tweezing and doing eyebrow cleanup, I could feel the hives erupting along my forehead. My brows looked nice and they were kept full like I wanted, but I can't go back for my skin's sake. read more

Regarding the lash lift, I do not see any difference between the before-after. I am VERY particular about my brows- I am the girl that stalks the instagram faves, researches all the 'go to girls' and will stop people and ask who they go to in order to find the best person to go to. I have traveled all over town. When I tell you Cailyn is the best of the best- I am not exaggerating. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she really listens to your brow goals and takes your face and eye shape into account. The entire Bespoke Brows space is also so warm and welcoming (I use both UES locations), and have tried many of their services- including tinting and laminations. I also find their prices to be super fair- especially when so many in NY are charging outrageous prices. It allows me to go more often for maintenance. read more

First time here , place was nice and clean the towel were really nice . Even met the owner. Not a high maintenance woman so i don't wear make up or do lashes but it was my birthday and i wanted something different. I went with a wax and brow tinting i honestly loved the wax no pain at all but the tinting didn't really look any different. Also did the lash lift my eyelashes are very small so they looked a bit bigger but it looked like i had mascara. So i loved it. Mixed feelings, teetering between 3/4 stars. I came in for a wax and eye lash lift. The brow wax gave me great shape and they actually look fuller, very happy. The wax made me break out a lot but that's probably my sensitive skin. Lash lift: it was my first one and you have to sit on a stool for 35 mins with your eyes closed. I think I would have been happier in a larger place laying down for this process, as it was just an uncomfortable balancing act on a stool. My eye lashes looked great that day, but it's been a week and I've notice the lift is pretty uneven. My right eye lashes dropped significantly and the both inner corner lashes are lifted way more than the outer. read more

I just went back after not going since I moved 10 blocks away (I am lazy). I told myself that I could just trim my own brows...note to self: "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRIM YOUR OWN BROWS!"
