Facility: Antelope Valley Hospital Date of Incident: October…read more2-3, 2025 Procedure Scheduled: Surgical treatment for meralgia paresthetica Assigned Surgeons: Primary: Dr. Farrukh Backup/Secondary: Dr. Rafael Lemus Summary of Events On October 2, 2025, I was scheduled for a surgical procedure requiring the presence of both the primary surgeon, Dr. Farrukh, and the secondary surgeon, Dr. Rafael Lemus, as well as the anesthesiologist. According to hospital protocol and the arrangement agreed upon by the surgical team, no part of the procedure was to begin unless all required personnel were present. Despite this requirement, the hospital proceeded with full preoperative preparation. I completed blood work, received IV fluids and antibiotics, was transported to the operating room, shaved, marked at the surgical site, and sedated. At that point, I was fully unconscious and unable to provide consent or make decisions. While I was under sedation, Dr. Lemus left the hospital without notification or justification. Dr Farrukh self admitting in a frustrated condition spoke to Me about this in passing. When contacted, he refused to return, leaving the required surgical team incomplete. As a result, the surgery was not performed. Upon awakening, I was given inconsistent and limited information. My subsequent requests for clarification and for copies of my medical records were met with resistance, prompting concerns about transparency and potential record concealment. I documented my interactions with staff to preserve evidence. On October 3, 2025, Dr. Farrukh called to confirm the following: Dr. Lemus left the hospital without notification or justification. Lemus left the hospital prior to the surgery. He refused to return when contacted by staff. The hospital's director and scheduling manager were terminated as a result of the incident according to Dr Farrukh's statements. Legal Concerns Identified Based on these facts, the following issues appear to be present: Breach of contract/procedural agreement among the surgical team Patient abandonment by the secondary surgeon Patient battery, as sedation and invasive preoperative steps were performed without the full surgical team present Gross negligence and professional malpractice Institutional liability for failure to follow required surgical protocols Potential punitive damages, due to actions taken while I was unconscious and unable to protect my own interests Current Status The surgery was not completed, leaving the underlying medical condition untreated. I must now obtain a new surgeon. I am seeking legal representation to pursue appropriate claims.

I had a very disappointing experience at this office. The front office staff came across as…read moreunfriendly and seemed bothered by the patients. The scheduling felt more like a cattle call than a medical practice, with multiple appointments apparently booked for the same time. Many patients, including several senior citizens, waited well over an hour to see the doctor, and the frustration in the waiting room was obvious. Patients deserve to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of their background. Instead, the atmosphere felt cold, rushed, and impersonal. It was genuinely sad to see so many people, especially older adults, waiting for such a long time without much communication. If you have other options, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your care.

Good Doctor, questionable ethics. Dr Gill's front office is dominated by a mean aggressive manager…read morenamed Cheryl. Her poor attitude and explosive personality is what frightened me. The girls behind the desk are in Cheryl's domain and several of them think it's ok to behave rudely to patients. None of them look very happy with their jobs. Why? My guess is Cheryl who is backed up by Dr Gill. Instead of hearing both sides of the story, Dr Gill relies on Cheryl and I guess if you piss her off - by pointing out her mistakes - you can expect retaliation. It's indicative of the politics of this office. This atmosphere - to me - pervades the entire office. It's too bad. Dr Gill - under supervision - implanted a monitoring device under my skin. Experimental device made by Boston Scientific. 7 months later I get a bill for $7000 for the device. I ignore the bill. 4 weeks later I get another bill so I attempt to contact Dr Gill's office manager (Cheryl). Cheryl did not return my call so I reluctantly contacted Blue Cross. After I called Blue Cross they straightened things out. The next time I saw Cheryl at an appointment - and tried to explain that I would always call her first - she lost her temper and told me to leave and never come back. She claimed she called me (she didn't) and proceeded to eject me from the office. Dr Gill should know better, but he seemed to be annoyed at me because I told him that I thought Trump was a disaster. So if you want to support Dr Gill, remember that he supports Trump. He certainly doesn't support the rank and file like me. Beware of Cheryl though - it appears to me that she has a mean streak. She approached me the very first time in a hostile and aggressive manner and it seems some of her aggressive behavior may have rubbed off on a few of their staff. Dr. Gill? He should know better. I believe he has undertaken more work than he can manage. I don't want to believe he tried to scam me out of $7,000, but from every angle it appears when he was unable to do so, he lost interest in being my Doctor.
