After receiving a message from his nurse Stephanie yesterday evening, who is also great, to call her back in regards to an x ray my son had. I call back and speak with Jennifer this morning and explained I was returning a call from Stephanie in regards to the x ray on my son's toe which is still really swollen and has had no change since the visit. She states that "all the call is in regards to is no fracture or anything going on" I continued to ask questions as what should we do in the meantime, since the swelling has not gone down. And I dont think Jennifer is a dr, but she states "well the providers always say to ice it and elevate." I explained I can't take guesses, But she insisted and advised again this is what the providers advise their patients. I can't think every kids situations is the same so for her to tell me that without no reassurance from Dr Satey or even letting me speak with Stephanie just blows my mind. Speaking with staff like this makes you not want to call back but both my kids love Dr Satey. I understand she may answer calls all day but to to try to get some answers as whatever is going on with my sons toe is a concern for me. And the swelling may go down if thats all it is. And if it doesn't then we have to go back in and see Dr Satey again then thats fine. But The way the call was handled was unprofessional and unacceptable today.
