Terrible and humiliating experience. My son has conjuntivitis and a cough. The staff ask for a negative COVID test, which he had, no fever and wore masks. Grandma had to take him into the examining room, where a rude staff member kicked her and my son out. My mom only had a raspy voice and the staff claimed that she said she was sick and that she said that we were all sick, which is not true. We are all vaccinated, wore masks, and have no COVID or fever. So my son was not seen . If these people do not want to see "sick" people they are in the wrong business! read more

I called them to schedule an appointment for my daughter to be see as a new patient who was treated in ER last night with a double pneumonia They supposedly weren't accepting new pts until they found out she's got double ppo insurance and then refused to see her unless they did a physical first. (She already had a physical). They refused to contact her old pediatrician to obtain the info. When I suggested it she (Tanya) laughed and said "uuhhh nooo". I don't understand the urgency for a physical when we're treating an emergency. What good is a physical when my child is extremely sick? She was not helpful at all and suggested no alternatives. They told me to call the insurance and obtain the info THEY need. I work in healthcare and would never make a patient call the insurance for history. It's actually pretty easy for them to look it up in their internal insurance database. read more

The doctor is ok, no problem, but the staff omg the staff are unacceptable , there rude obsolete no people skills. You ask them a question for example why don't you let my other kids tag along I have no babysitter? Even before I became pregnant with my first, I always knew Dr.Edralin would be the pediatrician for my kids. All the Moms in the AV sing his praise, and he lives up to it! Everyone is so kind, empathic and patient. The front staff at check in always try their best to accommodate us, and take every precaution with COVID. Now we are only able to have one parent bring our son in, but we completely understand it's for the patients and staff safety. The nurses are efficient, kind and gentle. Dr. Edralin is warm, knowledgeable and always calm and reassuring (which is incredibly helpful for a first time mom haha). I HIGHLY recommend bringing your little ones to Dr.Edralin. The doctor here is wonderful. He is caring, accessible and knowledgable - his staff is the opposite. Have been lied to and manipulated by the woman running his insurance concerns. I have paid hundreds of dollars for being "uninsured", promised a refund when the insurance kicked in and was promptly told there would be no refund - despite being told by my insurance my child was ALWAYS insured and never should have paid so much out of pocket. When confronted with this information, the insurance lady rolled her eyes and said that her "system" says something different. She never called to confirm as she promised us and now we are out hundreds of dollars. Civil legal action seems appropriate at this point and we are considering our avenues. Save yourself the time. Would be five stars if the doctor would get rid of his problem staff. read more

This review is not for the doctor but his staff. Unfortunately they are doing a great doctor a disservice. Had an appointment for my daughters 2 month checkup and was contacted and confirmed the day before. When I got to the appointment and gave our name we were immediately told we needed to talk to someone regarding my insurance. Unfortunately the error is on my insurance side. But to be sent away when this could have been discussed prior to my appointment so I could have gotten it cleared beforehand is rude and a waste of my time. You say "sorry mama" but had no consideration to let me know before I loaded up a 2 month old to get to our appointment! (We all know that's not easy) ---I actually started this review two years ago after my first daughter and decided to give them a pass cause the doctor is so great. Unfortunately I had the EXACT same experience with my second daughters two week. This time she Atleast gave me the option to pay for the visit instead of sending me away. After I had the conversation with her about my insurance is just waiting on a document let's see how they paid last time and just paid for my daughters visit... no compassion. Told me to basically pay or reschedule. So I paid. She reassured me once insurance kicks in they will refund me immediately. (My daughter is 4 months I still have not been refunded) Now this should have been our sign to leave. However again the doctor is amazing! He is NOT the problem. We have a 4 month checkup Wednesday with shots. Two days before we were called and told they had to cancel and reschedule. We get it. He's a doctor things come up. However they cannot reschedule for 3 weeks out. And what's crazy is they don't see how rude and inconsiderate that is. You cancelled my appointment you should be able to get us back in sooner. But no. The front office is also using the pandemic as an excuse to be lazy and inconvenience their patients. Even if the office sees all children in your household you can only bring one child at a time. You literally have to find childcare for your other kids if one has an appointment because they will still not let you bring another kid with you. Also they send you out the back door after you've seen the doctor as if they are worried now you will spread covid walking back into the lobby and the front desk. Therefore you cannot schedule your next appointment or ask questions you are literally pushed out the back like some dirty little secret. Dr Edralin- I really hope you see this. I am devastated that I am now sending my daughters to a different pediatrician because your staff is horrible. We tried to chalk it up as a once off but clearly it's not. Took my child here based on reviews and I'm greatly disappointed. When I made the first appointment for my child I was asked what type of insurance I had. And then asked who the employer was for the insurance holder...then after that told me that dr Edralin is not taking new patients and scheduled my child w the PA....I thought it was odd to ask who the employer is? Why does that matter? ... Fast forward to this past Friday. My baby has a cold and really bad cough and congested. I call in the morning to see if my child can be seen. I let them know I got checked for covid and it was negative. They tell me due to the fact that my child and me are sick and displaying "covid like " symptoms they probably can't see her and to go to summit urgent care. My other child would be a new pt and they have to do a physical for first time visits and he can't be sick so take him to urgent care. Ok we go to the urgent care they told me to go to. I get there and they tell me they don't see kids under 18 months so take her to the ER. I call dr Edralin's office and let the girl know and she then tells me ok I can take the baby but I gotta go in through the back door. We get there the dr sees the baby. Tells me her lungs are clear and just give her something over the counter. As I'm getting ready to leave I get a call from the front office telling me we haven't met the deductible and if I can give a credit card info so I can pay for the visit. Wtf? I tell the girl I take it u want me to pay now? She says yeah...Doesn't the dr office usually bill u? I felt it was just the wrong way to do things. My child was not a new pt and they have all my info....anyway I won't be going back to this office. read more

A few years ago Dr. Edralin's office was rated one of the highest in the AV. Since the "Pandemic" their customer service, and overall care has completely gone down the drain. Our last 4 experiences have been terrible. First, their one child "policy" is complete discrimination to those who don't have help and are single parents. Several times I had to get a babysitter to drive all the way to Palmdale to sit in the parking lot with my daughter or son while the other one was seen, even if they were completely healthy and it was simply a wellness check. It's completely absurd and makes 0 sense. On top of that, they closed their entire office to their patients and shuffled everyone down hallways and back doors to be seen, because apparently you can catch and spread covid in the waiting room but not in the hallways. Many times, they forgot to give us our prescriptions because there was no office available to us anymore, and they would escort us out back doors and forget about our prescriptions. One of the things my kids liked most was the bright and happy waiting room always decorated in a different theme. Now, we have to sit on the floor in a dirty hallway - and be seen by doctors wearing plastic shields and face masks, not at all comforting or inviting to a child, honestly it's creepy and not personable and friendly at all. 3 years after the pandemic that has since ended. When I expressed how these policies made us feel, they told me to express my concerns with the Doctor as it was his policy and although they agree and are just as frustrated that they simply couldn't do anything about it. When I explained how I felt to the other Doctor (not Edralin) he wouldn't even look me in the eye and was blatantly ignoring me and rushed my son's appointment to simply get rid of me. He said he would put a note in our file, and have Dr. Edralin follow up with me regarding my concerns and their new policies. Crickets... we never received a phone call. Months after this, they explained that some of their policies had changed so we scheduled my daughters wellness check, when my husband arrived they refused service to us because he didn't have a mask. First of all, the pandemic is OVER, we do not choose to wear masks and therefore, we don't have them. That is our right. If this is your policy, you should provide them, period. Which they would not, my husband had taken time off work and had to leave. Extremely frustrated which he did express. Today, I called the office to schedule an appointment for my daughter and they told us they simply put our kids files in storage because my husband left frustrated at the last appointment, and they assumed we were finding a new doctor. Basically, they threw out our kids with no care in the world because we expressed not agreeing with their policies. Completely unprofessional - I could not be more disappointed and saddened that this is what our health care has come too. Not once did they apologize or show any sympathy. I will say, that most of the staff there has expressed that they do not agree with these policies. Sad all around for the patients and the staff. This is already a lengthy review, so I will leave out the terrible experience my son experienced with getting his vaccines. Simply put, I HIGHLY don't recommend Dr. Edralins office. Turns out, many of my friends and family have had the same experiences and feel the same way. read more

The Dr is great but the front staff seem to actively go against the best interest of the baby. After our child was born we called Dr Edralin's office to schedule an appointment for a few days after birth per the hospital pediatrician and OBGYN's orders. We were met with strong pushback by Dr Edralin's front office staff. They initially refused to schedule anything less than 2 wks after birth and had us double check with the Dr's again to verify it was required. We then verified again (even though the hospital staff liertally just told us) and then called Dr Edralin's office back. Even after double checking we still had to press Dr Edralin's office staff for an appointment and stand firm. This experience was very concerning and reduced the trust we have in the office staff to provide assistance in the future. Our perception was the pushback was mostly derived from the inconvenience cause by scheduling an appointment one day out as opposed to something medically relevant. The reality was: two Dr's who have just seen our baby ordered us to take our child to the pediatrician, but the front desk staff of the pediatrician determined the professional judgment of these Dr's was wrong. read more

The doctor came and saw my daughter in the hospital, he was awesome. I took her for her 2 week appointment during the summer and one of my older kids was able to watch my other little one. Anyways I made a 2 month appointment and was told I could not bring any other children. I explained I do not have anyone to watch my 4 year old and was told i could reschedule. I do not like I was told that because if I don't have anyone else to watch them now I am pretty 100% positive I won't for a future appointment. 5 stars for Dr. Edralin 1 Star for accommodation this is great place if you are first time parents not if you have more than one child and the other parent works a 9-5 job. read more

Dr. Edralin came highly recommended, and he did not disappoint. He is thorough, patient and always answers every question you have. We live about an hour away from his office and gladly make the trip for our appt. I called when my baby was a week old and the front office told me that he may not accept us because I didn't meet with him during my pregnancy, once I told them I had zero problems throughout my pregnancy, labor and birth they accepted my baby. The wait time has never been longer than 20 minutes and the waiting room always only has 2-3 other families waiting room. I have only had one minor problem with the front desk. They called the day before my baby's appointment and told me that the appt was an hour later than what was initially scheduled, my husband caught the error and I was able to reschedule the appt for 30 minutes later. read more

The one star rating is for the very rude staff and front office manager/ business manager. While Dr. Edralin is among the best Pediatrician, his front staff and front office manager/ business manager are dragging his good name through the TRASH. My children ( 9 months and 2 year old) have been told to lower their voice to a quite whisper while we wait up to 20 minutes to see the one of three medical staffers. I was charge $50 dollars for cancelling my daughters appointment and taking her to the ER for respiratory difficulties. The front office mutter under their breath about my wife and I telling other front staffers about our presence. I will personally contact Dr. Edralin to voice my concern, but for now, you must know he is an excellent Dr., but his staff is very abusive. read more

We have 5 kids and we wanted to have a local pediatrician, today my oldest had his physical and I had to bring along my 5 yr old because I can't leave her home. They said that she couldn't come in because of covid and that it was a policy. What the heck are parents supposed to do with their little ones, leave them home alone?? They have great doctors and very friendly staff and nurses. They book up kind of fast so don't delay on making appointments. It does suck they don't an urgent care, but they do have a call service so in after hours you can talk with a doctor. I love this about them. I highly recommend them. We used to love Dr Edralins office. We have 6 kids and came here with our first 5. Since covid erupted they have become a little crazy though. Twice now (once even after the psycho state of California declared the pandemic over) we have tried to bring our little girl in to check her tonsils--not a covid symptom. They try to make you take a covid test prior to bringing her in. Her tonsils have been swollen for 6 months, and we just want to get them checked out by her doctor, and maybe get a referral to an ENT, but apparently our 4 year old is a danger to society unless we make her take a covid test. A test that the cdc admitted can't even tell the difference between covid, the flu, or the common cold. When did doctors get scared of getting sick? What happened to "first, do no harm"? Should they change the Hippocratic oath to "first, take a covid test, then I might help you"? I guess the loss of our business will make room for 5 more kids though. Good luck. read more

Nice office, nice - if not very formal - Dr. Can't say much nice about office staff and had several unpleasant experiences with nurses. How about a simple "Hello!" when you come into the office? Don't expect pleasantries, it's a very sterile, robotic experience. Several experiences left us looking for a new pediatrician: 1) made to wait with our week-old boy for his first visit for over 45 minutes in the hallway (no chairs, no anything) while the office finished up a birthday lunch for a co-worker. Not even a "sorry" from anyone, even though we had scheduled our visit a week in advance... 2) we were not allowed to breastfeed during vaccinations even though it is overwhelmingly recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Not only were we told no, but we were treated incredibly rudely by several nurses while trying to get an answer to why we aren't permitted to do so. We called the Dr. multiple times over the next several weeks and only after getting very angry with staff did we get him on the phone. He was pleasant, but pretty cold and indifferent to keeping us as clients. Bye bye! We'll drive to Santa Clarita to find a good pediatrician, thank you. Just because you are one of only a few decent ones in the AV doesn't mean you can treat us poorly. read more

There is something to be said about decades of experience and Dr. Edralin is a great example. I think he has been practicing pediatrics since before I was born. His office is clean and his patient rooms are even cleaner. Onto the staff that most yelpers are upset about. I have had nothing but good experiences with most of the staff. That being said my wife has had a few issues with them. 1. Their demeanor (i.e. friendliness) on the phone is not as helpful as it could be. It's nice to feel like your business is appreciated sometimes. 2. Once she called had a question. They were going to ask the doctor and call her back. The call never came. Overall my wife is pleased with the practice except for the few run ins with the office staff. She said the nurses were very friendly and had no issues. If I could rate Dr. Edralin alone this rating would be 10 stars!!! He is kind, compassionate, and knows what he is doing. He reminds me of Dr. House....but with kids....and not an ass...or addicted to drugs. Ok. He is nothing like Dr. House except for being really smart about pediatric medicine. read more

If you are a mom of multiple kids please don't go to this place. We love dr edralin thats why we gave the two stars but the staff is rude and not very accommodating. We moved here almost 2 years ago and I have a 1 year old and 2.5 year old and every since we moved here it's been one parent one child no siblings due to Covid we were fine with it at first but to this day 2 years later it's the same policy and it's becoming a pain in the ass when you have two kids and no one to watch them because all family is in VA and my wife works Monday-Friday and has to take off work to watch one while the other goes in. There was even a time when they both needed a flu shot and they wouldn't schedule them together made us bring one in and then second one a few hours later. What a joke.. I asked if this policy was permanent because if so I need to look for somewhere else because it doesn't work for us. She said yes as long as Covid is around that will be their policy . I'm sorry but Covid isn't just going away it's been here for 3 years. I think they just like it that way and I feel for single parents I couldn't imagine. Now we have to pay $35 each kid to send their medical records to a new doctor . When I moved from VA to CA we never paid anything to get medical records just another way to make money from people but someone please explain it to me why do I have to bring my kids in separately when they both live in the same household ? If one had Covid wouldn't the other along with the parent ? How is that helping not spread it ? I think if it made actual sense to me I would be understanding but at this point it's a stupid policy and why we will no longer be going there. read more

Dr. Edralin was my pediatrician as a child now he is my children's pediatrician and Dr. Joe Crispin everyone in this office is amazing my 4 year old and 6 year old actually get sad if one little one is going in and the other can't go! The nurses and entire staff is like one big family we feel like family when we come here they are so kind, so accommodating and gentle they even give one of my little ones a sticker and lollipop for my other one when he's not there one nurse (sandy) even came in just to give a shot on my oldest because she wanted to be there and comfort him cause she knew he was scared also I have forgotten Tylenol before a shot felt so bad but they said no worries gave us some before the shot! Today I called told them just to see if my son can take this medication with another they answered and said call us if you need him to come in we will get you a slot!!!! So I'm sitting here in comfort knowing if I need to they are there! I can seriously go on! It's so hard to find this these days and get us in if there is an emergency right away! I just love them all especially Sandy (front office) and Tonia (in billing) (apologize for any mis spell lol) BUT THEY ARE ALL AMAZING even if it's just a question as to can my little ones take this med with this one or is this normal I can call and get answers right away! I remember one New Years eve my son spiked a fever out of nowhere to 104 we called they were about to close and they said bring him in no problem!!!! I'm telling you if you want an office that you can depend on for your little ones and feel comfortable and be able to call in the middle of the night and Dr.Edralin or Dr.crispin call immediately!!!! Dr Edralin spent 2 seconds diagnosing my 4 year daughters huge, seeping bumps on her arms and face as bug bites. We wasted a week and many hours tossing her room and washing everything imaginable and then the follow week ,she has another attack of a different looking skin irritation with large red swollen , itchy patches. Took her in again to hear Dr Joe say the look weird . NO kidding ! So, we took her to a allergist who actually spent time on her history and asked a bunch of questions and ran blood work. Imagine that! There's a way to test the blood a human to find causes of unknown illnesses. Not to mention a front office staff that needs some training in customer care. Wow. I was told they were taking new patients yesterday. Got a call today, no message. Called back, explained why I called and I was put on hold, then asked what I needed again by a hateful woman. I told I her it was just for a new patient, nothing needed immediately. Then she told me they were booked until September. All while she is extremely rude and finally hung up on me. She said they aren't taking new patients, then she said they are. Why did I waste my time yesterday being set up as a new patient, that may or may not been seen at any point. We love Dr. Edralin! He is so patient and caring. My son is always happy to see him. If you have a baby on Way I highly suggest interviewing him. His staff has always been friendly to us. Dr. Edralin came highly recommended to us. In the hospital when my wife was giving birth to our first child, the nurse asked, "Who's your pediatrician?" When we mentioned Dr. Edralin the nurse said, "He's our children's pediatrician too. You will be very happy with him." Seven years and three kids later, I couldn't agree more. We wouldn't have any other doctor for our children. Our children love Dr. Edralin. He is friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, willing to answer any and all questions, and an all-around nice guy. If something happens after hours, it seems like Dr. Edralin or Joe are always available. If a problem can wait until the morning, they always find a way to fit us in for a same day appointment. Good luck trying to get an appointment! Tried calling to see if I can get a soon appointment for my 3 month old and the first thing they ask is what insurance do we have (PPO). Then they transferred me to the "insurance person" only to tell me they don't take any new patients very rudely. Its like they screen the calls before you can try to make an appointment and if they want to they will help you. I had the same experience before when I used to take my older girls to them 10 years ago. Office staff was very rude then and obviously rude now! Doctor is nice but he should really consider giving the staff some education on how to be courteous and have better attitude with the customers!!! read more

We've been seeing Dr. Edralin since we moved here over 19 years ago. He is a very thorough, knowledgeable and caring doctor. His staff is very polite and caring as well and they try to reserve openings every day for urgent visits. Dr. Edralin has personally returned my call at 3 o'clock when one of my kids was very sick. Dr E is great, but his staff are a horrible group to deal with; they are unfriendly, complain about doing their job, and are unprofessional.

Within the first 5 minutes of meeting Dr. Edralin, I knew I'd found the right pediatrician for my twins. He answered every question I came armed with, before I ever had a chance to ask. He's obviously has been practicing for a long time and regardless of other reviews I've read, really seemed to have a compassionate nature. When my twins were born he was at the hospital every morning, even Sunday to check them and discuss bloodwork and newborn health to two overwhelmed, stressed out new parents. His staff may not be jolly cartoon characters, but if you've worked in healthcare (as I have), especially in the A.V., you'll know that the clients here aren't chipper rays of sunshine most of the time either. I appreciate, and more importantly am empathetic to their roles and responsibilities and have nothing bad to say about them. The day my son came in for his circumcision, this new mom of twins not surprisingly, forgot to give Tylenol that morning and one of the receptionists called another who got some and brought it for me to give my poor little man... and did it with a smile. I love love love this pediatrician's office and regret that we will be moving out of town very shortly and have to leave them behind. read more

By far the best pediatrician I have ever been to!! Dr.Ederlin takes his time, listens and is very gentle with my girls.. All the nurses there are super sweet and makes us feel comfortable, like as if we are family. The office is extremely clean and full of Disney characters, what kid doesn't like that! We love going to Dr. Ederlin's office. If you're looking for a pediatrician that takes his time, is knowledgeable, nice, and very caring he's the guy to go to! WE LOVE HIM!! read more
