I cannot say enough positive words about Dr. Satey and his office. For almost 18 years he has been my kids pediatrician. During that time we have built a relationship of trust. I know he genuinely cares about his patients and their parents. The care he has given to all 3 of my kids has been SO good that I won't ever go anywhere else. If any of my kids are sick he goes above and beyond to figure out their issues. I say he even cares about the parents because I have first hand experience of this. During covid I found a golf ball sized mass in my lower neck area kind of tucked under my collar bone. I immediately called my PCP who was out of town. His associate would only see me via a FaceTime call. I explained this was a large mass that needed to be felt and they refused. I then called every single office within a 30 mile range from my house and NO ONE would see me because of covid. Out of pure desperation I reached out to Dr. Satey and asked him if he could just look at my lump and tell me if I should worry or if I was okay to wait for my PCP to come back. And Dr. Satey without hesitation said to come in right away. Once at his office he felt my mass and said it wasn't ok. He made a few phone calls and within that hour I was at Advanced Imaging getting scans and then to the lab to get my blood work done. I was diagnosed with stage 4 thyroid cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. Dr. Sateys care for me as an adult didn't stop at my diagnosis, he made sure I was able to get into City of Hope for immediate treatment and surgery. My surgeon said it was a good thing I was able to get diagnosed so quickly because my cancer was moments away from spreading from my neck to my entire body!!! I had 2 golf ball size masses along with many more smaller ones and the majority of lymph-nodes in my neck were cancerous. Dr. Satey literally saved my life! Yes his office does get busy and yes he does run behind at times, but if you knew how much he really puts into each patient you would understand. I gladly wait at each apt no matter how long it takes because I know the quality of care he gives. If you're looking for an office that actually provides real patient care then this is your place. This was quite literally the WORST pediatrician I have ever gone too. We waited over 35 mins after making an appointment weeks in advance. We were initially told they had a shortages of rooms but after about 40 mins we asked if it was going to be longer. Magically a room became available that second. When we were inside the nurse was pushing vaccinations onto our son (most of which he already had). When we refused she left the room and doctor did not come for almost another 40 mins. During this time our child got fussy and sleepy so we decided to leave without the doctor even bothering to come in. We did ask prior to making the decision to leave where the doctor was and were told that "we were next!". Anyone that pays for their own insurance should STEER clear of this office. We cannot wait to move out of the AV because of terrible health practices such as this one. read more

Dr. Satey has been seeing my 13 month old her whole life. He's very straight forward, helpful, and I love that he includes me and my partner in the conversation and doesn't only direct information towards me. Dads are important and should know everything going on just like mom. The Palmdale office staff is friendly and even when they're busy the wait time isn't bad. I hate to do this yelp review, because Dr. Satey is always amazing!! But after calling this morning and speaking to Jennifer, it just had to be done. After receiving a message from his nurse Stephanie yesterday evening, who is also great, to call her back in regards to an x ray my son had. I call back and speak with Jennifer this morning and explained I was returning a call from Stephanie in regards to the x ray on my son's toe which is still really swollen and has had no change since the visit. She states that "all the call is in regards to is no fracture or anything going on" I continued to ask questions as what should we do in the meantime, since the swelling has not gone down. And I dont think Jennifer is a dr, but she states "well the providers always say to ice it and elevate." I explained I can't take guesses, But she insisted and advised again this is what the providers advise their patients. I can't think every kids situations is the same so for her to tell me that without no reassurance from Dr Satey or even letting me speak with Stephanie just blows my mind. Speaking with staff like this makes you not want to call back but both my kids love Dr Satey. I understand she may answer calls all day but to to try to get some answers as whatever is going on with my sons toe is a concern for me. And the swelling may go down if thats all it is. And if it doesn't then we have to go back in and see Dr Satey again then thats fine. But The way the call was handled was unprofessional and unacceptable today. read more

Absolutely NOT a place id recommend I was giving the hardest time over my daughters test results the STAFF LUPITA IN PALMDALE hung up the phone in my face because I asked her to send me the results via text she heard that I was in the office in Lancaster and said they can give you the results then hung up as o begged her to send them via text the LANCASTER OFFICE ASSISTANT STACI ! She laughed in my face while continuing to talk over me once I felt extremely disrespected that she would laugh in my face and be so rude when all I wanted was my daughters results broke down to me so that I can know what's she allergic to and what she's now allergic to I will be switching doctors after almost 4 years with this office after today I don't feel the staff takes anything seriously literally laughing in my face while I try to figure out what kill possible kill my child or not just sick and unprofessional read more

Dr. Satey and all of the staff are great! I brought both of my children to see Dr. Satey, Dr. Nas and Crystal, NP. The care we received from all of the providers was great, no questions were unanswered, and all of our needs were met during our appointment. We waited about 45 minutes for our appointment, but I feel that is pretty standard in any medical clinic! I especially loved Fatima, the front desk clerk. She was amazing, and so joyful. Dr. Satey was my doctor as well as my sibling's growing up. He has always been very professional and has left a positive imprint in our lives. As a kid, I used to have really bad cold induced asthma. My mom always took me to him and he always made sure I received the proper treatments while I was there; he also ensured to prescribe me what I needed at home to prevent it from getting bad fast (nebulizer etc.). I have a son of my own now and I take him to be seen by Dr. Satey. Could not wait to get home to give this review!! I'm literally sitting in my car right now doing this review and my 2 years old son just had his first Dr's appointment with Dr. Satey a few minutes ago! And i would say I was really impressed on how thorough Dr. Satey is. He checked everything that needed to be check to my son even the small details like how my son walk and stand. He also asked every small or big details about our son's speech, motor and activity development. Also I really like how he gave instructions to his nurse about my son's medications "in front of us" he made sure that his nurse took notes not only for my son's medication but also for all the contact numbers of the refferals he gave. Because you know how some doctors just leave the room after the consultation then let their nurses explain the referals and medications to their patients, but Dr. Satey is different!!! He is very hands on!! And all those qualities are the one i was looking for my son's pediatrician! This experience was really awesome! I would definetely recommend him!!! read more

Every time I call trying to schedule an appointment they never have any, when you try to schedule a future appointment turns out they don't schedule appointments for Illness, so I'm confused as to when and how they go about scheduling their appointments. So I am convinced now Dr. Sateys office is the best I have now had my son be seen by Dr. Satey, Dr. Larrazolo, and Dr. Casas (in Palmdale) and they have all been amazing with my son. They are patient, kind, truly care for babies and I'm sure kids as well. They are extremely knowledgeable about babies but also baby products as well. It's hard getting appointments sometimes when you need them sooner but so far I have been accommodated the way I need it when my child is sick. read more
