I really love Ahi Poke in Elk Grove, especially because it's a spot where you can actually sit down and enjoy your meal. Every time we come, the place is always clean, welcoming, and parking is great, which is a big plus. The service is consistently great, the staff is friendly, patient, and super helpful, even when my husband and I end up getting almost every topping they offer! What really makes this place stand out is the wide variety of toppings. There are so many options, and the generous toppings help make each bowl filling. My husband and I usually get the two-scoop bowl. The price is better than most poke places, though I do wish they gave a bit more fish since the scoops feel small. That said, the toppings help balance it out. They also had kelp noodles this time, which mixed really well with everything and are a great option for anyone on keto or trying to limit carbs. I usually stick with the sushi rice and spring mix, but after trying the kelp noodles, I'd definitely order them again next time they're available. Overall, Ahi Poke is a solid go-to with good service, lots of options, and a comfortable dine-in experience!

Got to-go of a 3 scoop with white rice and it was $20 after tip...I guess that's just poke nowadays. I don't have much to say besides that I did not entirely enjoy my bowl. I did arrive as the person to get the last bit of rice and bottom rice is never as good. Ingredient[s' freshness] were okay and I've seen complaints of the small portions of Ahipoki and I can attest that. Maybe it was the rice or my sauce choices or that I'm a bit sick so my tastebuds are messed up, but I would be down to give the place another chance.

I love to come here. The food is always so fresh. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are very tentative and kind. I typically get a two or three scoop Poké bowl with different types of toppings and sauces. This is definitely my go to when I have a sushi craving. It is very filling and a healthy option! I highly recommend. Download the app because they do have rewards.

Swing by for their super bowl special for $35- 10 scoops bowl Such a good deal and this time the staff gave a decent amount with each scoop compared to my previous visit ! Love the freshness and varieties or toppings offered !

I've tried this place out a few times and every time I come it's just okay. I decided to get the mini bowl because the portions are big if you get the regular Poké bowl you'll definitely have leftovers. I decided to fill my bowl with salmon, edamame, cucumber, imitation crab, and all white rice. All of my toppings tasted pretty fresh, but the imitation crab they have a weird aftertaste so I didn't end up eating that. I'd say the prices here are pretty good. It's around $10 for a mini bowl. The inside is quite small so if you're looking for somewhere to sit, there aren't many options overall, the food is just OK. I think there are definitely better options out there.

It was our first time trying the poke here & I requested it specifically for my Father's Day lunch. My favorite poke was the salmon, ahi & octopus. I also had tsukemono, kimchi, seaweed salad, crab, edamame & furikake toppings with brown rice underneath. The gal served us quickly without rushing us which was ideal. The ambiance was fresh, clean & modern. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars was bc their helpings were a bit on the skimpy side. My wife doesn't normally eat poke so she had the grilled salmon with a lot of the toppings I had but she really wanted those kelp noddles which she loved!!! Very Crunchy! The employee there grilled the salmon while we made our choices for our poke plate. Their Kim chi however was SPICY! We can't handle it when it's little too spicy. I'm sure we will be back despite the spicy Kim chi. We just won't order that! They are close to where we live here in Elk Grove. Plus I do remember they have an Ahipoki out by Arden Fair Mall by the Century cinemas! It is next to RAW superfood. Very convenient eateries all around! Yay!

My new fav Poke spot. They have generous portions and lots of different options to build your own Poke Bowl. Good service and very clean!

Decent poke spot located in the same plaza as Costco, Somi Somi, and Amazon Fresh. The poke was not as fresh, however, we did go around 7 pm. Some things to note if you're looking for a good hefty bowl of poke: The portion size for the fish was very small, therefore, the other toppings make the bowl more filling. White rice is available instead of sushi rice. Some nice things offered: seaweed salad is free of charge. There are plenty of other Hawaiian dishes offered besides poke. I'm not usually big on sauce, but this place does their sauce pretty good and spicy! So yes, if you're looking to fix your craving of poke, this place is okay and will do justice, however, it is not the best place in my experience!

Got some ahi poke for my granddaughter and it was pretty good. Got take out for my brother in-law and he said it was really good. I have to comment that the lady helping us was so sweet! She even packed it in ice because we had 2 more stops to make. The place looks pretty new and very clean!

I haven't been to the spot yet, but boy was I surprised I was greeted so sweetly by Leilani and she was very patient with my order. I got an ahi burrito & a lychee lemonade. Nubia was also very kind and greeted me as soon as she saw me. The people who work here are amazing. The ambience is really nice as well. It's very much a fresh and modern look. I would definitely come back here and if you're in Elk Grove and you're craving pokey, you should come to ahipoki.

Great location with lots of parking. The restaurant has recently updated their approach to serving poke bowls. They now offer cooked items that may please everyone. For the past couple visits I ordered from the standard cooked items. The cooked salmon bowl was very tasty and likewise was the chicken and shrimp combo. I liked the idea of adding the sides to these dishes which makes for a complete filling meal. Prices are reasonable too. The employees are welcoming as soon as you enter. They're pleasant as they ensemble your liking. The dining are is clean, open and spacious. Oh by the way the poke offering is plentiful too. My new goto place for poke.

I know inflation has been a thing, but the amount they give you for $15 felt so little. The bowl they give is pretty flat and the scoops for the protein were pretty small too. Most of the volume was taken up by the toppings. Even the rice layer was super thin. The quality of the protein was good though. Everything tasted super good, I just wish the cost matched the quantity we got more. The service also felt awkward. Each section had a small spoon and the girl that helped me didn't really dump everything out of the spoon before scooping for me so I had a few bites of random things the spoons were in before. I guess it was a slow day so the workers were just chatting until I came in. The girl that helped me rang me up quickly and then got back to chatting with her coworkers without handing me utensils. She didn't even finish the transaction, she just accepted payment and left without even handing me my receipt so I took it myself. She didn't even show where the utensils and things were so I had to try to find where they were myself after while all three workers ignored me and chatted after. Overall quality of food was good, but the lack of customer service and quantity makes me not want to come back. It's good to stop by for a poke fix but it wouldn't be my go to

    Laura T.

I was very excited to try the burrito they have on the menu because of all the sushi burrito places leaving the Sac area. I ordered the double eel as the protein since you can pick two proteins. The fish portion was quite small compared to other places I've ordered from. Especially for a double portion. You also get to select about five toppings. They mix it up with the sauce so it was very nicely evenly mixed in. I was a bit Suprised when it came in a small to go box because all the other sushi burritos I've had came in a bigger box, so the end product was much smaller. The staff were friendly and the interior was very nice and clean. The food came out fast, but I wasn't overall impressed. It would be nice if they offered some more now raw options too. May visit again if really pressed for a sushi hurr

Cut into a different part of steak just to make sure, also rare. When I showed our server she agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen. She comes back after talking to the kitchen and tells me the cook said its not rare, its just the marinade that makes it look dark. I'm like, "huh?" Cause that made no sense to me. Still they cooked the same steak another 5-7 minutes before bringing it back. Now it was a perfect medium. It was obvious they just threw the same steak back on the grill, the 2 cuts i made were still visible. All was good till our server came back to check on us, she asked how the steak came out, when I said it was perfect, she continues to insist it was medium well when I sent it back based on what the kitchen told her, several times she made excuses and would not once admit or own up to the mistake despite me showing her the cut piece of steak on my plate. 02.07.2026 - DQ Hawaiian BBQ | Elk Grove, CA **Broke da…read moremouth.** From the moment I walked in, the restaurant felt welcoming--clean, well-kept, and inviting. The cashier at the front was patient and kind as I placed my order, offering thoughtful recommendations. She suggested the Half & Half combo, which turned out to be the perfect choice, especially since I wanted to try their Kalua Pork with Cabbage. Whenever I visit a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant for the first time, Kalua pork is my benchmark. It's the dish that quietly tells you whether a place truly understands Hawaiian food and culture. ### First Glance The portions were generous at first sight, but as I ate, it became clear the balance was just right. The Kalua pork and cabbage looked moist and savory. The short ribs were beautifully cooked--charred just enough without being overdone. The macaroni salad immediately reminded me of what I used to eat back home in Hawaii, and the steamed rice appeared to be short-grain, (unsure) prepared with care. ### Taste Test **Steamed Rice** Perfectly cooked. Each grain was intact--never mushy, never dry. Moist, fluffy, and timed precisely. It tasted like it was made by someone who truly respects rice. **Macaroni Salad** Comforting and familiar. The flavors were exactly where they should be, with a subtle hint of umami that many other Hawaiian BBQ spots in the area shy away from. That small detail made a big difference and brought authenticity to the plate. **Short Ribs** Tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The charring added depth without bitterness, and the marinade tasted just like the plate lunches I grew up with in Hawaii. The meat was soft and juicy--not dry or tough. **Kalua Pork** This was the true test--and it passed effortlessly. Moist, tender, and infused with smoky juices. Too often, some restaurants in the Sacramento region, Kalua pork is served dry, but this one stayed true to its roots. One bite confirmed it: this was authentic. ### Final Thoughts I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. This visit sparked that familiar feeling--the one that makes you want to return, to taste more, to linger a little longer. The staff was warm and attentive. The waitress stopped by my table to check in, and that gave me the chance to ask the real question: *Are you guys from Hawaii?* She smiled and said her boss is. That explained everything. You can feel it when a local boy builds something with care, pride, and memory. Much respect. This is a place worth supporting. So there you have it--**ONO yah. Broke da mouth.**

I wonder if it was a building-wide issue, because we noticed a lack of cooling when we visited another business in the same strip. The service was very nice and quick. We ordered at the counter and then our dishes were brought out to us once ready. My husband got the loco moco and I got a combo with BBQ chicken and katsu. Of the two orders, we both preferred mine, only because the loco moco patty was okay, but not great. I loved the BBQ chicken and katsu - both were cooked really well with lots of flavor! The cashier took our order and accepted the coupon. With the BOGO deal I only ended up paying about $15 bucks. Cool deal, I thought. We waited for our food and when it was ready the cashier said she over charged me for one of the meals. I explained that it was okay because I used a BOGO coupon and that meal was still of lesser value than the other meal that I was charged for. She proceeded to tell me that they wanted to give me a refund for the $2 dollars I was over charged and called a coworker over to complete the refund transaction. Once again, I told them it wasn't necessary because that meal was free with the coupon. The coworker started the transaction anyway and refunded $14 back to my debit card and then said I had to now pay for the second meal that was $12 bucks. I asked why I was being charged for a meal that was initially free and even showed him that I had the original receipt. He told me that I was only supposed to get the $2 back. We went back and forth for a while because he wouldn't even review the receipt and was very dismissive. The cashier who took my order even acknowledged that I used the BOGO coupon. I asked if I could atleast get the coupon back to use for another visit since I was charged for both meals. I was told that they wouldn't be able to give it back since it showed as redeemed in their system. What a shame. The food was actually very tasty and freshly prepared. Stopped in on a Saturday evening. It wasn't busy at all. Plenty of seating. Clean. I Ordered #2…read moretonkatsu chicken. It comes with cabbage and broccoli, scoop of mac salad, and 2 scoops of rice. Decent portions. The tonkatsu chicken was good but I felt it was more batter than chicken but it was still crispy & tasty.
