I was trying to look up other restaurants in the area because we were about to leave. What made this even more confusing was that it was a Sunday right after opening, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Because the appetizer took so long, I ended up splitting my single sushi roll with my guest so he wouldn't have to sit there hungry while waiting on his food. Even then, it still took over 30 minutes for his entree to arrive, which was ridiculous considering it was just one dish. The most frustrating part was waiting nearly 45 minutes for a single appetizer order of gyoza. We were honestly close to leaving before it ever arrived, and I would have left still hungry. If the appetizer had come out in a reasonable amount of time, I could have actually enjoyed the roll I came there for in its entirety instead of having to split it just so we could get by while waiting. The pacing of the food also made no sense. Appetizers should come out before entrees, not after everything else. Instead, one person was eating while the other sat there waiting, which made the entire experience awkward and frustrating. If the waitress paced things correctly it would have made a huge difference and likely helped prevent the kitchen from getting backed up. On top of that our waitress never apologized for the delays or acknowledged the excessive wait times, not even after we waited over 10 minutes just to get water. She did repeatedly asked if we "needed anything else" while we were still waiting on food. Like, yes, we needed the food we already ordered? Overall, the experience felt extremely disorganized and uncaring from both the service staff and the kitchen. What's especially disappointing is that this wasn't our first bad experience here. This is now the second visit in a row where we've dealt with extremely slow service and a noticeable lack of attentiveness (last time we were there they forgot some food, not only ours but also a table next to us). This place used to be good, which makes the decline even more frustrating, the kitchen needs an overhaul or something. Sushi is good and not as slow but ordering anything from the kitchen or getting drinks is like pulling teeth to get. Sushi Love isn't a huge restaurant, so it's hard to understand how things have become this disorganized. We gave the restaurant another chance hoping things would improve, but this was by far the worst experience we've had here.

I stopped by Ahipoki yesterday for the first time because I was craving poke and decided to give it a try. While the service and environment were definitely highlights--no wait time, friendly staff, and a clean, modern setup--the food itself didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered two bowls with two scoops of poke each, and the total came out to $33. For the portion size, I felt it was a bit overpriced, especially since the poke didn't taste very fresh. That was a letdown, considering poke is the star of the meal. That said, the overall experience wasn't terrible. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the environment made for a pleasant dine-in option. Stopped by Ahi Poke yesterday and had a really good experience. I ordered the tuna bowl with salmon, and it was fresh, flavorful, and a great combination. Everything tasted well prepared, and the bowl was definitely the highlight of the meal. I also tried one of their tropical drinks. It was okay, but honestly not my favorite, especially considering the price--I felt it was a little overpriced for what you get. Silverware were individually wrapped. The teriyaki chicken was ok, on the big plate I barely even had any rice. You can't even see it on the picture. It had way more chicken than anything else. The macaroni salad was not good at all. All you can taste is like mayo or whatever white sauce they use super creamy and it has no flavor. The pineapple was ok I don't know if it was fresh or It was from a can. Build your own ball teriyaki chicken was ok once again not enough rice the veggies only had pepper as seasonings, and most of the veggies were soggy. We were expecting more out of this place. Price I felt like it was too much for what they serve and it lacks on flavor. The teriyaki sauce it was too watery and too sweet didn't even taste like teriyaki to me tasted more like sweet soy sauce. The staff were just in the kitchen, laughing, talking standing around it just felt like they didn't want to work. Tables were sticky and dirty.

We are Foodies at heart and love supporting local businesses. Please, this is feedback for the business to improve, and protect customer safety. Location was great in a little strip mall area. Disappointed with dirty tables, an off putting smell and burned out light bulbs. 2 young male employees were chatting behind counter. No customers in store. Menus were sticky and dirty, and were politely asked if it was our first time and why there were different menus. One had sushi, the other poke. The poke items were behind a glass barrier for all to see( like Subway), and selections were so sad with carrots that were dried up looking and other items did not look great. In a Sushi or poke place it is number #1 to present your food quality and selection with only the best. Customers are eating raw seafood items and want to see that your food prep and display are on point. My husband gave the poke a 6/10 for his 3 protein bowl. He said "portions were small, no furikake, selections for condiments were lacking. The 3 different types of tuna were fine". I ordered the 2 protein bowl. I got spicy tuna and shrimp. I asked for only a 1/2 cup of brown rice but mostly salad. The employee the squatted down out of my vision with bare hands, opened the cooler and the came back up with pretty wilted salad greens. He continued to ask me what I wanted , and I too skipped over many selections due to how they looked in the fresh bar. The shrimp was overcook and like rubber bands with a strange aftertaste. I gave my bowl a 2/10. I then excused myself and went to the restroom in rear of buisness. An older employee had just come out of employee entrance door to kitchen wiping his hands on his pants. The bathroom door was disgusting and obviously had not been cleaned in months for all customers eating to see. Remember, this is a restaurant that serves raw food. It should reflect a standard of cleanliness and maintenance to protect the customer. Once inside, the smell was so offensive that I thought" that must be coming from the sewer drain, or........." as I looked around I was repulsed at the condition of the bathroom. An old baby changing station with a stained cloth changing pad was in bathroom as well. Litter all over floors, puddles of stained urine at base of toilet. Floors not mopped. Surfaces had not been cleaned in months. A rusty, filthy garbage can that sat next to toilet, the list goes on. I kept saying to myself "oh no, this is not good because if they lack total knowledge how to keep their customers safe, what and how are they prepping their raw seafood for consumption?" It was all I could do to get that bathroom out of my mind to go eat my poke bowl. Once you opened bathroom door, the smell followed me to my sticky table. I stopped between bathroom and table as I saw the 2 younger employees standing around behind a small storage wall chatting and notified them of bathroom issue. They did not respond. We were only customers in restaurant. I observed after 10 mins( still no other customers) that one employee walked in bathroom and walked immediately out with no attention to the issue. In all my 25 years of food service, I've never seen a worse bathroom, let alone after you pointed out it needed attention, that nothing was done. Our food was was subpar and we were really dissatisfied as the reviews had been the opposite. My recommendations: 1. Clean your bathroom DAILY, especially since it is the only bathroom and both men, women and children use it. No exceptions. If you are keeping a baby changing area, it needs to be a hard cleanable surface, not with a fences and urine stained pad. 2. Clean and repair issues in plain sight of customer and behind in kitchen. 3. No bare handing of food! No exceptions. Put salad in cold case where all can see. Not out of hidden area behind counter. Not acceptable. 4. Employee training on how to handle concerns or complaints. 5. Better selection of poke condiments. They were pretty sad. Like I said before, take this advice and I promise you will get a better reputation and more revenue as you display how much you care about the customer and the restaurant experience. I paid over $50.00 to go out ( a huge treat retired these days)once a week and that place needs attention. BTW.... That was yesterday 6/3/26 and my husband and I both woke up this morning to grumbling bellies and diarrhea. Coincidence??? I want to love the place, but it is a huge pass for me in the future unless they take action to remediate issues above.

At that point, I felt as though I was being rushed through my order rather than being given the opportunity to have a positive first-time experience. I understand that employees may have other customers waiting, but I believe there is a professional way to handle a busy situation while still making a customer feel welcomed. What was especially disappointing was that this interaction came from the manager. As someone trying poke for the first time, I expected the manager to be patient, helpful, and enthusiastic about introducing a new customer to the food. After completing my order, I pulled Lily aside and respectfully explained that I did not appreciate feeling rushed. She responded that I was being rushed because there were other customers behind me. However, I did not receive an apology or any attempt to address my concerns or improve the situation. The owner is a sweetheart too, love to see her business prospering so much!! Highly recommend Miso soup, pepper tuna, sunomono, golden roll, chicken teriyaki, any fried rice, and so much more. Literally have tried the whole menu and there were only 2 things i didn't like but that was based off my pickiness.

They gave more interaction to the single to go order sitting on the counter than they did to the single individual who collectively asked if the store was even open because the entire staff was nowhere to be seen. Do they know about their happy hour? No. Are they excited to make tips? Of course, not. Society is conditioning the working class to make tipping mandatory. Well, I'm not gonna continue to sit here to be ignored when my hard earned unemployment money could be better spent at an establishment that is actually working for their buck. Such a shame, because they're not even that old yet and they've already fallen into the collective that truly doesn't give two cents about your dollar walking through the door.
