Delicious! I made my own bowl and it was excellent. The salmon was super fresh. I ordered a medium and it was huge!

Some of the reviewers on Yelp didn't get it. When it comes to fast food, stop bitching about service. These guys are more often than not overworked and underpaid. Just review the food. That being said, I enjoyed the experience of ordering on a tablet and then a very friendly girl can't put and made my bowl. The fish was fresh, veggies were all crisp and their chili sauce is amazing

I'm just glad they're is a ahi poke option in Woodfield. Service is good and food delivery wasn't that long. Unfortunately it's only OK. I had the Hawaiian. The salmon was borderline tasteless, the mango felt freshly thawed and the rice was hard - like it's been sitting cold for some time. Hopefully things will improve and we get more poke options in the burbs.

I'm a huge poke fan and can't believe it's taken this long for a spot to hit Schaumburg! I'm sure glad it has even if that means I need to trek inside Woodfield's food court to cop some. I legit was craving this spot for lunch today. What I like about Ahi Poke: ~Pretty cheap with a small bowl being $8. ~Good assortment of toppings. ~Some ingredients considered premium at other spots are not here, like avocado. ALL THE AVOCADOS FOR ME, PLEASE. -_- ~I've tried 3 sauces thus far and loved them all. ~They don't skimp on the ingredients. ~Their sushi rice is actually really well done & perfect. A lot of poke places suck at making sushi rice. The only slight meh on Ahi Poke: ~Most ingredients have always been fresh but on this last trip, I found the salmon to be slightly less stellar than usual. Still was completely fine, no fishy smell - I ain't gonna front like I didn't eat it. Overall, I love Ahi Poke and it's such a fantastic healthy & filling lunch option for me while I'm at work in the 'burbs. I'll definitely be back a million times in the future.

As an avid sushi and poke bowl eater, I can confidently say this place does not measure up. Yes it's a mall food court option, but I thought maybe it would be good. The fish was clearly frozen as it had not fully thawed. Definitely wouldn't eat here again and would likely choose a chain that I know is good in the future.

Stopped by the new Dining Pavilion on the second level at Woodfield Mall this past 4th of July and came across Ahi Poke. They have a super easy way of ordering exactly what you want in a poke bowl at fairly reasonable prices (at least for mall prices). You grab a list and just check off what you want. There's photos on the counter to show you exactly what the items are. It's like Subway, but for Poke - Cannot be easier to get exactly what you want! The fish and other ingredients tasted fresh, flavors were spot on, and the staff was friendly. I got the small for $7.99 which was perfect for lunch, but there is also a large size for a few dollars more. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to fast food, this is it!! I love that you can have brown rice or greens instead of white rice too. Love!!

For mall food, it's okay. Every time I go here, the employees seem annoyed and unfriendly. But my experiences here vary every time I visit. One time they had ran out of regular sized bowls and were only offering large, another time they ran out of many toppings. It's never consistent. The poke taste itself honesty is not too bad. The fact that I have come back for more says something! But I do believe it's a bit overpriced for mall food court food.

Everytime I go to this place in the food court I'm never comfortable. The workers always look unhappy and one occasion two of them complained on who would make my order. This place is never busy what's with the complaining? I asked for mango and she tells me they're all out, and the last time I asked for mango I received four pieces. This time again four little pieces. Unfortunately I don't recommend

But as we drove by, the sign caught our eye and my husband and synched up in harmony, "Poké Bros -- Hey, we haven't been here in a really long time!" So kudos to their signage being clearly visible from Golf Rd, because as foodies... that absolutely matters. When we walked in, it was already past 7:30 PM and the restaurant was empty. And not to pat ourselves on the back, but there's something in Asian culture about having "good food juju" -- meaning if you love food and love eating, you will draw in crowds after you walk in. My husband and I are both born under the Pig sign (take that however you want ), and I swear that within 10 minutes of us ordering, three different groups walked in and the place filled up to about 70% capacity. This is not the first time this has happened to us over the years, so yes... we're a little proud. Our kids are foodies too, so if you ever see our family in your restaurant, likely more foot traffic is coming your way. So the ambiance here is fun and casual, with a Hawaiian surfer vibe that totally fits the fresh fish concept. It also makes me miss Hawaii! Now onto the food. We really like Poké Bros because it feels healthy and fresh -- quality fish, vegetables, flavorful rice -- basically deconstructed sushi in a bowl. You also get good value for what you're paying. Most bowls start around $13 (there has been a slight price increase of a couple dollars since our last visit years ago, which is expected). For an average person, one of these bowls which is usually packed with ingredients to the rim will totally fill you up. We ordered The Duke ($14.50) which comes with tuna, salmon, and shrimp. Because we were dining with kids, we left out the jalapeños and swapped the gochujang sauce for the sriracha aioli, which isn't spicy at all and is kid-friendly. We had sushi rice which was well flavored with vinegar (if you don't like that, ask for white rice) and also added extra imitation crab for $1.25. At the end, you can customize with additional toppings -- we added seaweed nori, wonton crisps, and rice flakes for extra crunch. Everything came out to be about $18 for a bowl so you can get feel for cost. Service was quick since bowls are made immediately, and we didn't have to wait at all. The staff were friendly, and nothing felt off or uncomfortable. It's also nice that they'll give you a lid with your bowl so if you don't finish, you can easily take it home. Once we sat down, the kids went wild -- and they even ate some edamame, which I count as a win. Everything was delicious and while the toppings were cool, the sushi rice was warm and it was a great combination. Since this was our second stop of the night (yes, dinner hopping with kids is a thing in our house), we didn't order more, but we'll definitely be back. Years ago, my husband and I used to come here for date nights when our kids were too young for fresh sushi. Now they love it, and it's nice to be able to enjoy this together as a family. We actually use this place as a bit of a "pregame" before going to rotary sushi spots -- our kids can absolutely eat us broke (not exaggerating), and this helps take the edge off their appetite. I know that's probably a unique situation, but if you're going with kids who devour sushi like water, this is a great option. For most families, this would easily be the main meal. For us, it's a sushi-deconstructed bowl of happiness before the final round. Tip: Ask for a punch card. Every bowl earns a punch, and after 10 punches you qualify for a VIP card that gives you a forever 10% discount on every order. We're definitely holding onto ours. Not sure why it took us so long to come back, but now that Poké Bros is back on our radar, we'll be returning for sure.

And yes, in case you didn't know, while it's called "International", all those nations are in Asia. We come here mainly for two things - either getting ingredients to make hot pot at home, or just eating hot pot here. They also have dry pot, which my wife and I really like as an option. You grab a basket and fill it with whatever veggies you want, then a separate one and fill it with proteins, then you pay by the weight. You can either get it hot pot style in a big bowl of hot broth, or dry pot where they cook it in the broth but serve your food already cooked. As far as the grocery selection, they have a big seafood selection and a decent butcher area. Also a lot of Asia snacks and frozen selection, and a small liquor section too. Produce is fine. But if you're making hot pot at home, they have the sliced meat, soup base, sauces, and a little frozen fish ball self-serve area. If you don't want to eat hot pot here, they serve other Asian hot dishes, and there's a bubble tea spot and bakery here, but I haven't tried anything else besides the hot pot. Sense a trend yet? It's not as big as Joong Boo, and it's bigger than the current H Mart for now but will be interesting to see how the new one compares. Overall it's a fine grocery store and we'll come back when that craving for mala spice strikes.

It's a Japanese market that features an amazing food court (and this is where I spent all my time.) I don't recall the name of the stall I purchased from. But I can tell you it was quick, not expensive and very filling. I had a bowl with beef and noodles; for dessert I hit the matcha dessert stall for some matcha and vanilla ice cream. The whole place meal me feel like I was dining outside the state of Illinois. The service from everyone in the market was very friendly and they even had a sake/soju tasting by the front door (and the vendors allowed you try was much as you wanted.) If you love Japanese culture, food, and want to visit a neat place and kind of feel like you are…read morevisiting Japan, you need to visit Mitsuwa! Not only is there a food court of different Japanese restaurants to try, there is also a grocery store, bakery, bookstore, and stores that sell ice cream, traditional desserts, as well as crepes and boba tea! My family and I visit here often every year and we like to try the different foods and desserts and then check out the bookstore and grocery store afterwards. My favorite foods so far have been the beef udon soup with a soft boiled egg, shrimp and vegetable tempura, miso soup, and Japanese curry with rice, beef, and vegetables (carrots and potatoes). My son always gets the chicken and beef on a stick and my daughter usually gets a garlic pork dish with white rice but I forget what this dish is called. My husband also enjoys the beef udon soup like I do. I swear that whenever my food is finished, I am legit sad! The crepes are good, there is a variety of boba teas to try, and the ice creams are delicious! Lychee has been my favorite so far but I have yet to try the matcha, red bean, among others! You can get a small sample of different ice cream flavors too, which is nice! I sampled the red bean flavor so that will be my go-to next time! At the grocery store, I love buying Happy Turn snacks which are like a sweet and salty crunchy cracker (maybe it is made of rice?) that are individually wrapped and mochi from the fridge area. Finally, I usually like to buy mochi from the store right next to the bookstore. The mochi from this location is the best! I usually buy multiple flavors to take home and eat at a later time! You must try these! My kids love checking out the bookstore and they usually pick something out for me to buy for them - whether it is a book, keychain, etc. There are magazines, anime figurines, soft plushy toys, pens, and stationary, etc. It is interesting to browse through the things they have there! You cannot bring food or drinks inside but they do have a shelf at the entrance where you can place your drink there if you like. The first time visiting here, the majority of the customers were Asians and as the years have passed, there is now more of an influx of non-Asians who simply love the food and appreciate the culture, which I think is neat! The first time I visited here was with my college roommate who was from Japan and she recommended this place back in 2009 perhaps? I have been visiting ever since with my family. We travel more than an hour from Wisconsin to come here but it is 100% worth the drive! Also, the cashiers and workers there are quick, efficient, and friendly. I have even been able to practice a few of the Japanese phrases I have learned with a couple of the cashiers too (I asked if they spoke Japanese first)! Overall, Mitsuwa is my happy place! Great food, interesting finds, different culture, and everyone there looks excited to be there. This is as close to visiting Japan as I can get until I keep learning more Japanese and save up enough money to go visit Japan someday! This is my dream! In the meantime, we will keep visiting Mitsuwa!
