I am skeptical of all chiropractic cracky-crack doctors and thoroughly researched all alternatives including this thing called, "Active Release" technique. Enter Dr. Gorman. At the time that I made my first appointment, my right wrist was about 10 degrees colder than the rest of my body and I had lost full range of motion in my neck, including any ability to look to the right. My issues took a few visits to resolve but let me tell you, even after the first appointment - the sky opened up, the sun shined down and the birds chirped happily. Those of you that have experienced true neck/back pain can understand what I'm saying here. I rave about Dr. Gorman to anyone that will listen (and merely mentions that they have any pain anywhere) ... he has fixed up many friends/clients and they have all been grateful for the suggestion. Also important - I am a big baby when it comes to doctors and by that I mean I don't go unless there is blood (its just a flesh wound!) and some sort of limb is practically dangling off my body by a thread. Dr. Gorman is warm, kind and very patient ... though he once informed me that I was his worse patient ever to get their neck cracked. Apparently, claustrophobia includes a fear of someone grabbing your head with both their hands and trying to break your neck. He assured me (he gives me the same soothing speech on each visit) that he will not break my neck and he proceeds to walk me thru exactly what is going on ... he ends the talk-thru by telling me to watch fewer movies. He did better than that and I found complete relief in less than the 6 weeks: complete relief of the pain and popping. Greg patiently explained every step of the process to me, what he expected was the problem and how he was planning to solve it. He also explained long term maintenance exercises so my problem will remain at bay. Greg's office is easily accessed via Muni and he has flexible hours that worked well with my work week (early morning times available). Without reservation I wholehearted recommend Greg.

When I asked him questions about the nature of the injury, he kept replying with generic responses like "it will just take time to heal." I kept asking him for things I could do at home to help in the healing process. But he had nothing to say. Therefore, I opened up a google search tab for him on my phone and asked him to type the name of my injury in Chinese because I wanted to follow up and research some personal care tips (considering that he had none), but he looked completely dumbfounded and then said "how about we type it in English instead" and he basically just typed in "hand injury." Like seriously!? You're a doctor and this is the most you can come up with? After that I paid the $120. I gave him the debit card and he inserted it into his reader. When the reader processed my payment, it started beeping to signal card removal. It beeped for a good minute while he spaced out. Shortly after that, he asked me for my card. I told him that he has to remove it first from his own reader. I was shocked at how unfocused and inattentive he was. I'd have to agree with the other 1 star review here that suspects he's only after the money. A week later I went to another doctor named Dr. Annie whom my mom recommended. When she conducted the treatment, she inserted 5 different needles into my hand and explained precisely what those needles would do in the healing process. She also advised me to dip my hand in sea salt water for 10 minutes and rub Chinese ointment oil on my hand thereafter. She answered all of my questions with precision and care. It was only after I went to Dr. Annie that I realized how lackluster Dr Huang's treatment was.

I workout an average of 8 times per week between F45 functional training and Y6 Yoga. So I am always sore. My husband is an avid golfer and pretty much folds very weekend both Saturday and Sundays and also takes Yoga. I always struggle to describe exactly what Dr Kristie does and end up saying she is not your typical "bone cracking/popping" chiropractor. It is focused on performance optimization and muscle testing. She uses the most interesting and I'm sure most innovative tools that are out their in her area of expertise. It's amazing how she knows the exact spot that needs help with just your description of the area etc. The strength in her fingers and hands are so powerful and strong - don't let her petite size deceive you. She is also very observant and notices or questions any changes that she may have noticed - for instance she noticed a change in my fingernails so had me checking out with my physician. She helped me through two knee surgeries and my recovery was super quick. I especially love that she has experience as a certified personal trainer and is in sports medicine. She will ask me to demonstrate how I do certain weight training or yoga movements and explain to me how it may be impacting my lower back etc. I have to say the sessions can be very painful but is more of a hurts so good painful . There are days when my tolerance level is low and she is more than willing to accommodate me on those days and go light Nothing is forced on you. She is a wonderful person who creates a safe place to get some healing. She is very personable and we both enjoy our conversations with her. The space is clean, sanitized and cozy.
