Eligio proposed several materials and adjusted them in line with the specific features we were looking for. We wanted a surface that would be both stable under the specific conditions (directly up against the foundation of our house and next to the sloping retaining wall, but also more porous than the asphalt. Eligio and his crew did a meticulous job to make sure the ground was properly regraded to improve water flow away from the house while making the surface more porous (hence the wider spacing between the cobblestones. He also adapted the design so I could have some planting space between the wall and the cobble stone. We were impressed with the crew's diligence and efficiency.
