The original steps had rocks thrown inside the steps with holes for chipmunks to burrow into and cause damage. Oscar tore up the old steps properly and carefully, protecting the house, replaced the rotten wood, dug a deep hole & set a perimeter for the concrete and filled it in. It's solid now!
