We just purchased a new home and decided not to go with the builder provided hardwood floor and…read morestarted looking for installers, we wanted the work done before we moved in. As luck would have it we chanced upon Davit when he was installing hardwood for one of our neighbors and were really impressed by the work he had done there. He was awesome from the first hello! He came over and gave us an estimate and his quotation were very competitive to the one we had gotten previously. He also helped us to find shops with good selection of hardwood. We already had a different place in mind but decided to go to his recommended place and found the material and rates way better that what we were looking at. Davit further helped us to get hold of other materials like baseboard, glue all at great rate. He even help us save cost by re-using some of the existing baseboards. Davit and us fixed the install schedule based on our move-in date and when the hardwood was arriving (we were on tight schedule as we were handing over the apartment). As luck would have it the hardwood shipment from the seller got delayed by a week as the previous shipment had some damage. However, we had already locked in our moving dates :(. Davit came to our rescue and offered to work round the clock in order to minimize the impact on us and also moved his dates around just to accommodate us. The shipment finally arrived and Davit picked up the wood within the hour and was already coordinating with the supplier without my knowledge. He had already started the demo and sanding work so he could hit the ground running as soon as the shipment arrived. He worked on Saturday and Sunday alone just so that we can move in with our two toddlers with minimum impact to us. Davit is clearly passionate in the work he does and his attention to detail was phenomenal. It was fascinating to see him work and never once did we feel his work was rushed up or he was cutting any corners. He would also educate us on why he is doing a certain thing and pro and cons of the approach which clearly reflected his knowledge on the subject. He also surprised us by making made us a wood frame as a house warming gift(free) We were really really happy with the work Davit did and he did the entire project almost on his own. His attention to detail and customer service was A++. I think I have found my hardwood guy for life and I cant imagine approaching anyone else if ever I need to do this again. They managed to make the floor level with tiles at several locations without using junction and the results at the time of finish looked great! The reason I am only giving 2 stars is due to the experience afterwards. Davit promised us to come back to fix any bulging or squeaky spots, but he has never done that. We have several spots making squeaky noise when stepping on it. Not only does it sound annoying, but also wakes up the baby (which takes significant effort to make him sleep again...). We called Davit and left messages several times, but he never responded. Not sure if he is avoiding responding intentionally, or it's just some miscommunication here. Hope to hear from them soon!

We were very unhappy with both the process and the results of our two-bathroom renovation. No…read moresupervisor was present to coordinate the crew or oversee the work, so we came home to find mistakes daily: they installed the wrong bead board, reinstalled the old medicine cabinet rather than the new one, didn't measure for wall switches, painted the windows shut, re-installed a clearly broken electrical outlet and didn't bother to sand, leaving rough edges as trim. Aside from the mistakes, the lack of supervision meant crews operated at unpredictable times without notice (nights, weekends) and were very disrespectful of our home. They used our bed as a staging area for drywall, stored hardware on our glass picture frames and used an electric saw on our couch to cut tile. They left a mess inside every day and piles of trash outside every evening. Despite repeated requests to clean up the construction debris, no one would pick it up and we had to take it to the landfill ourselves. Each crew blamed the other for the problems so I had to contact each crew to find out how to fix the other's problems. I wondered why we even hired a contractor if we had to do this ourselves. The bright spot was Taylor the plumber, who was prompt, friendly and detail-oriented. Otherwise, we were disappointed start to finish.

My townhome also needed some exterior upgrades to the trim, a good pressure washing in the entry, and a fresh coat of paint. Luis even threw in some freebies by patching holes in the garage and painting the interior and exterior garage door, fixing the mailbox, and disposing of miscellaneous furniture that was no longer needed. I also added some plumbing upgrades toward the end of the project (replaced all toilets and replaced faucet fixtures in sink, bathtub, and shower). Throughout the project, Luis kept me informed and sent progress photos of the work that was completed each day. Luis was very gracious and allowed us to use his business account to purchase all the paint (which saved us about 40%...I hadn't realized how expensive paint had gotten). Luis and the team also made several trips to Home Depot to purchase additional supplies and material for the added scope (which I really appreciated as it saved me time and I was able to just reimburse him). It's always a bit scary going with a group that was found online without any personal recommendations or connections. But I had a great feeling after speaking and meeting Luis. He definitely did not disappoint. The renovations turned out way better than I could have imagined. We've already started to get compliments.
