This dentists office sucks plain and simple.
And to top if off their staff is horrible and rude.
They are a half-assed team and won't work with you if you need it.
I went to them for crowns to finalize a long and complicated dental process.
Not only did they never schedule me once the necessary supplies were in stock, they also failed to let me know there was an insurance denial (one that COULD HAVE been easily fixed). Instead, after I called over an entire week and always put on hold for 20+ minutes, they told me I had to wait another half a year before I could have the procedure done. why? No one has told me anything.
So I discussed with the insurance company what paperwork was needed from them. I am happy to do my own patient advocating. And I let them know the most minute details of how to make sure I was to get insurance coverage. I literally walked them through the website and explained what exactly was required of them per the insurance company. As if...this is their first time? as if..this isn't their job?? they are that lazy.
Once I was done with that, I called back to see if the process was completed. and I got YELLED at by a clearly burnt out, old, secretary that clearly couldn't be bothered with anything that was not part of her mundane daily tasks.
A patient needs you to do something a little extra out of routine? God Forbid you help them out.
So, she yelled at me that I needed to conference call my insurance company with them and demanded to know WHO at the insurance company I spoke to. Excuse me? Who I spoke to at the 1-800 number? Dont be ridiculous. The information I got from the insurance company were the all the steps necessary that they needed to provide in order to grant me access to care. Then this SECRETARY continued to yell at me this procedure was NOT urgent. OH!!!! I had no idea you knew the finer details of my case and that you also went to dental school. That is a very bold stance for a secretary to tell you what you need and don't. She totally overstepped here after already dropping the ball on processing insurance.
So I had a lengthy conversation with the dentist instead. Totally passive. Called me later and left me a voicemail they were "going to take care of me".
A month later, I call the insurance company to ask the status of the authorization they sent. WELL. Denied again because the staff didn't do ANYTHING we discussed. They submitted the exact same paperwork (same lazy people mentioned before). AND the dentist did not include ANY notes about what was needed , indication , and rationale for why insurance should cover it.
I am dropping them so fast and moving on.
From day 1, all the "hiccups" in my accessing care due to their failures in patient management, they have NEVER once reached out to me to let me know what was going on.
I have taken everything into my own hands to make sure I get what I need done. And they are still half-assing their responsibility to their patients.
I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone at all. read more
