Agapi has a true talent for capturing the essence and delicate beauty of newborns. She is a baby whisperer, patient and confident in her craft. She handled our baby with the utmost care, making sure he remained as comfortable as possible through the whole shoot. She gave us all the time needed to ensure the shot was captured perfectly. I am so grateful we selected her as our photographer. She is amazing!! You couldn't ask for a better experience.

Agapi is a wonderful photographer, after searching around I decided to go with her to do my newborns photos and that's the best decision I've made. I felt so safe with my newborn with her, she took the gentlest care of my baby, always taking safety precautions with positioning my baby for photos. I cant say enough about how beautiful our photos came out. We are obsessed with every photo. Thank you for helping us capture precious details of our newborn.

She knew exactly how to swaddle and pose him, while Steve was a true artisan with the camera. Steve captured the most expressive shots at all the right angles. Beverly and Steve were also very receptive to our requests! My husband is a rock climber, so we wanted to create a couple of newborn pictures that included his climbing gear. Beverly made it come together so beautifully! Steve and Beverly were also patient and kind about newborn messes (spraying during diaper changes, spit up after feeding, etc.). They've seen it all (they are parents themselves), and the mess doesn't faze them. In addition, they gave some great advice to ease my anxieties as a first-time mom. We are so pleased with our experience here. The final photos are beautiful and we'll cherish them for a lifetime. I can't recommend this studio highly enough.

They gave us plenty of time to settle and feed the baby, and even when she spit up all over their couch, they were nothing but kind and reassuring. Their home studio was warm and welcoming, and they went the extra mile--at one point, their daughter even played with my toddler so we could focus on photos. As any parent knows, getting a toddler and a newborn to cooperate is no small task, but they made it feel easy. The final photos were beautiful and captured our kids perfectly. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a thoughtful, talented, and genuinely kind photography team!

Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

She was patient with our kids and knew how to get them to look at the camera. She took a variety of different groupings of people since there were 11 people. All of our photos turned out beautiful. Emily has gone above and beyond to capture the special moments of my now husband and I. I remember the first moment when I spoke with her, and from that one phone conversation, I knew that she and I would not only share the same vision for photography (how I would like my pictures to be captured and how she captures photographs), but also become friends!! our first phone conversation was about four months prior to the wedding, and I had not done anything to plan for it! I am a busy resident physician, and I also wanted to plan my own wedding, but I didn't know where to start! So on that day, in between me seeing patients, Emily and I had a really brief phone conversation, where she said three simple words, "I got you!" Since that fateful day, she has not given us a dream engagement photo shoot (at the very beach in which my husband, and I fell in love with in Malibu, the El Matador state Beach!) but also our very special moments on our special wedding day! In the middle of me getting pulled in different directions even on that wedding day... the minute she walked in with her team, I felt sense of calm and comfort, knowing that she was there to make sure that even though I couldn't remember everything that was happening that day because it was so busy, I trusted that she would be able to make sure I could remember those details later on in photographs! Aside from her warm heart and truly genuine personality, her work is fantastic! My husband and I have a very particular vision and preference for the type of photographs that we would like, and she fits that and more! If you look through her portfolio on her website or on her Instagram, you can see the brightness that she exuberance in her own personality onto her art. The way she captures the light is so unique, and she truly is the most talented photographer that I've ever come across. Therefore, I follow my gut and knew that she is the best of the best! I cannot wait until she continues to capture more delicate moments of our lives as I hope to continue to get to know her as well personally because she truly is one of the most special people on this universe!

The photo studio is located inside AR Galleria (the main galleria entrance was locked on Sunday afternoon so I had to enter through the side door via Cafe Lowell). [Parking]: Easy and free parking in the large plaza. [Reservation]: I was able to call and book a same-day reservation on Sunday. Visitors can also make an online reservation via the studio's website. Upon arrival, I scanned a QR code and signed a waiver before the owner started my 5-minute photo session. [Price]: $27 for 4 physical copies and digital copies to download via email (must be downloaded within 7 days). I did not initially receive an email, but I emailed the owner the next day about the download link and he sent a follow-up email with the link within a few hours (the email was hidden in my spam folder). The email included all the pictures taken during the session. The shop also makes photo keychains ($4+ each). The studio also offers 15-minute and 30-minute self-portrait sessions. [Studio]: While I was here for a passport photo, the studio mainly operates as a self-portrait studio where customers take photos of themselves. This small studio has all the props and camera setup needed to make it happen. [Process]: The owner had me sit on a chair and took 7 pictures. Out of the 7 pictures taken, I was able to choose one for him to print while the rest of pictures can be downloaded via a link in an email. It was more important to receive a digital copy because the US passport renewal process requires applicants to upload a digital photo rather than submit a physical copy. I was able to use one of the digital copies and now that same picture will be on my passport for the next 10 years before the next renewal timeline. [Conclusion]: Overall it was an efficient process and I was able to walk in and out within 15 minutes. However, it would be helpful for the studio to provide additional entry instructions on the website when the main galleria entrance is locked.
