I can't recommend Deidhra Fahey Photography enough! I've gone to her twice now, and both times she has delivered the best headshots I've ever had. She has an incredible eye for capturing exactly the right look while making the entire session feel relaxed and enjoyable. She gives great direction, pays attention to every little detail, and knows how to bring out natural, authentic expressions. The final images always look polished, professional, and genuinely feel like me. I consistently get compliments on my headshots, and they've been a huge asset for my acting career. If you're an actor looking for headshots that truly stand out, Deidhra is absolutely the photographer to go to. I'll definitely be coming back again! read more

I worked with Deidhra on March 21st and wow wow wow! This was THE BEST headshot experience I have ever had. It was so amazing to work with someone who has experience, knowledge, and views the person she's shooting as a full artist. I've gone through some pretty intense physical changes over the past few years with illness, and she was the best person I could have shot with since recovery. She saw what I wanted to do and accomplish while being able to navigate what I needed as well. I highly suggest shooting with her when you can. The turn around on the photos was lightning fast, and she was just as excited about the images as I was. Stephen Bowman was also my MUA for the shoot and he's FANTASTIC! Thank you again. read more

Love love love Deidhra so much!! This was my first ever headshot session. I wanted to shoot with someone who could guide me and offer their expertise -- and that is exactly what I got! I made some not-so-great wardrobe choices the first time around and Deidhra spent so much time working with me to plan out my looks for next time and how to best portray them through my clothing. Not only does she know what she's doing, but she goes above and beyond. Throughout our session, Deidhra did SO much more than I expected. Offered her own makeup for touch ups, pulled up different backgrounds to see what I liked for each vibe, consistently checked in with my satisfaction along the way, and shot several other looks that I hadn't planned. She is very thoughtful, generous, and committed to doing excellent work! :) Deidhra just gives me the sense that really knows what's good for me -- and that is invaluable!! So grateful for all of her insight and nurturing energy. Thank you so much for everything Deidhra!!! read more

My family and I drove down from Sacramento to do a photo session for my daughter with Deidhra. From my initial inquiry all my correspondences with her have been very pleasant. She responds quickly and her contract is very detailed with all the information one would need for their session. I really appreciated the fact that she took the time to explain things to us about the business. We needed her honesty and we loved that about her. It was also a warm day out and she made sure my daughter was comfortable. She offered her and I water and even had her portable fan/ac on to help cool us down. We booked the 3-4 looks package and she was very hands on with it. My daughter's makeup needed some touch-ups and she showed us how the placement of makeup can make a difference in shots and showed us before and after pics. I was amazed at the difference. Her explanation of things was a huge plus. She isn't your typical photographer that just snaps your pics and sends you on your way. I could probably go on and on about our experience but I'll leave it at if you're looking for a photographer who knows the business, is kind, funny and overall great to work with then you should book with Deidhra. Highly recommend her and we will definitely do the 6+ hour drive agin if we need pics in the future. Thank you Deidhra!!! read more

Deidhra is absolutely the best headshot photographer around. The most amazing pictures I have of my son were shot by her. Her headshots booked my son a role as a lead in a feature film. Deidhra is absolutely the best. Everything about my experience with her was incredible to say the least. Her headshots are phenomenal and THEY. ARE. BOOKING. She understands the art of the craft, captures your personality through your looks, and produces captivating headshots. Deidhra's guidance throughout the shoot also really makes the experience next level for an actor. She ensures you are locked in with each picture. You can see the difference in headshots with strong presence and powerful eyes. She gets you these headshots while capturing your personality. Also, she doesn't rush the session. Deidhra makes sure that you are getting the headshots you need, playing with different prompts for your character and showing you the pictures each time. I felt completely confident, from the way my hair was styled to the wardrobe I was wearing, and that was because of her top-notch expertise. She helped me with so much and alleviated the pressure I felt about headshots. The energy she has is unmatched. You feel confident and at your A-Game when working with her. Also, she gave me apple juice and a granola bar and to me, that is the sweetest thing. You can tell she truly cares about the actors that she photographs. I highly recommend her to everyone!! I will be going back for my next round of headshots. read more

Deidhra Fahey Photography - Her work. - Event Photography Near Me

I wish I could give her a zero. I had an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience with Deidhra some time ago. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, she began talking poorly about previous high profile clients. Having someone in a professional setting talk poorly about previous clients and name-dropping constantly was a huge red flag that created an uncomfortable atmosphere. We didn't stay long even though we had driven a long way to get to her and really needed new head shots. We weren't happy with the images and kindly asked her not to use them on her social media. She put them up anyway and refused to take them down. Even worse, she made hurtful comments about my child in a dismissive manner. She started out by saying that my kid was a "nobody" which is not only offensive but also shows a complete lack of professionalism and empathy. Fast forward about 10 years. My kid grew up to have a very successful career and several people called me to let me know that Deidhra was using old images that she doesn't have permission to use On her social accounts. She's been asked to take them down but is playing dumb. She's crossing legal boundaries and exploiting my daughter because it suits her business even after she spoke so poorly of her when she was a child. Deidhra Fayhe lacks respect, professionalism, and ethical standards. I'm sharing publicly to prevent others from going through a similar situation. read more

Diedhra Fahey was great! I got my headshots done today and I brought many options, of course, for looks. She was open and talked to me about my choices and how the looks would read on camera. She pulled a few shirts for me to wear as well from her studio wardrobe. She coached me through the poses and showed me photos along the way of what was working and what was not working. It was a great experience for my first headshots in LA. I got hair and make up done with her in studio Make up artist Jennessa who was also amazing. I did 3-4 looks and feel like I ultimately got more with layering and just a switch here or there. It was a great experience and for sure will come back to Diedhra! read more

Loved my experience with Deidhra. 1. She gave me a great deal on my headshots. Really, I definitely got some bang for my buck. 2. Makes you comfortable by playing the music you like. She also is ready for a music and movie debate. 3. Is quick and efficient. She'd be like "click click click, ok got it", and I'm like "really we did"... (shows me shots)..."Oh you right, you got it" hahaha. She knows what's she's doing. And because she has the type of relationship she has with agents she knew what my specific agent would want and boom my agent loved the shots. 4. Finally I'm a naturally curly girl, she let me split my appointment to change my hair without charging for another complete session. It's hard to go from curly to straight in the same day so this was MUCH appreciated. Just read her email and follow her rules and I trust you'll have a positive experience with shots you like. *The other nice thing is she takes shots that are natural and don't need an overt amount of editing. I was shocked at how good the original unedited pics came out. (see attached pic) Thanks Deidhra Fahey read more

Deidhra is such a sweet, kind person that helped me break out of my shell. I'm so in love with my headshots and she made the experience of getting headshots such a positive one. Deidhra is incredible! If you're looking for a stuffy, Sex and the City, Vogue-style shoot off Melrose, this isn't the place for you. BUT, if you're looking for a personable and spunky artist to help you craft the perfect shot for you, Diedhra is where it's at. She has experience with some of the best actors in Hollywood and has her finger on the pulse of what looks sell. She's got you covered, from hooking you up with extra wardrobe options to making you look your best on camera. I went to see her today, and for the first time ever, my (apparently sunburned) ears were popping out like an elf. I pointed this out, and she immediately fixed it with some makeup and changing the angles. I'm a repeat customer, and I will definitely be back! read more

I can't say more nice things about Deidhra. If you need headshot, you must go to her! Period! Oh and she was also following all the health and safely guideline. She took temperature of all of us to make sure no one had fever. With her son's help, she made sure everything was clean and sanitized. I had an amazing experience with Deidhra. I haven't had headshots taken since high school so I was extremely nervous and unsure of how it would go. She made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire shoot. She always made sure I looked my best while we were shooting. I was shown my photos during the shoot, so I was able to change certain angles that I didn't like. I brought several outfit changes and we worked together to find what was best for the looks I was going for. She also had jackets and shirts ready for me to complete my look. It was a very relaxing experience and I am so happy I finally went and I booked with her. I received my pictures quickly and I loved how they came out. Overall It was a 10/10 experience and I will definitely be back and will be recommending her to everyone I know. read more

During the shooting section, customer was asked to kneel down the whole time , no stool provided. Also they overbooked customers, no time in between, we were delayed by almost one hour, because they ran behind, and while we were still in the shooting, next customer came and start doing make up, so we only get one time make up and styling, even we paid for 3-4 looks. The photographer gave us a hair clip and asked us to put our hair together by ourselves to get the different look. Not a pleasant experience with them. read more

Deidhra's a joy to work with. Very professional and an effortless charm -- her decades of experience and the speed and efficiency with which she got so many different looks makes it quite clear why she's the go-to in LA. I'm a professional actor who took a break to attend college and work in the industry, so I haven't gotten a new set of shots in probably close to ten years. As a performer, I always find something I don't like about a picture of myself-- but Deidhra knew exactly how to get the right shot that left me walking away without any worry. Very punctual. She's probably one of the only people I've worked with in Hollywood who is ready to roll at 8am when we agree to start at 8am. That was a relief right off the bat. She also had a variety of makeup and hair styling tools on hand to cover up a few blemishes, get rid of my under-eye bags and make sure I was feeling good about how I looked. When I arrived with a number of looks she helped pick a few different ones keeping in mind what I felt like I felt best in but still offering her professional opinion. She had a whole rack of clothing options on standby and offered for me to go through whatever she had on hand just in case I wasn't happy with what I'd brought. In general, getting a headshot can be an unnatural and awkward experience -- a lot of the past people with whom I've worked will tilt and angle my head, critique the way my expression looks, ask me why I'm making that face because it looks weird, etc... but Deidhra kept me smiling, loose, and comfortable enough to get the perfect shots. I think she really captured my personality in a way I didn't expect. I've also had to wait weeks in the past for other photographers with a high volume of clients to process their selects and send me a CD or a set of prints, but I was able to walk away with my material on a flash drive and have the pictures in hand THAT DAY. Instant gratification at its best. I will be going to Deidhra for my next shots, for sure. Highly recommended! read more

Deidhra, I AM WAITING FOR YOU TO REFUND MY $250 LIKE YOU SAID YOU WOULD. DO NOT BOOK WITH HER. TERRIBLE BUSINESS. SHE DID NOT TAKE MY PICTURES. We have never even met. This morning I woke up two random texts from her, when my shoot is next week. This is my first booking. I was thrilled and she is just SO RUDE and STEALS. I called her and she talked over every word I said. She explained how I was entitled and refused to send me the confirmation email she claimed she sent. A friend recommended this woman in Los Angeles to actors in need of new headshots. I checked out her site and loved her work. Didn't like her rates- at all ($600). But I figured I would call anyway to see what the "industry rate" mentioned would cost. Misunderstandings are a fact of life but when they occur over money you better do what you can to avoid them or suffer the consequences. I should have known better. This photographer stated that she would charge me $175 for a commercial headshot with X number of looks (where you change shirts essentially). I couldn't remember exactly how many looks we would do but I think it was 2-3 or 3-4. The standard is about 3 so I didn't pay too much attention. I realize I was getting a good price but I was also scheduling at her whim, for one hour of her time and it didn't include the actual images (I learned afterward that it costs an extra $25 for the disc or you pay Reproductions LA for each hi-res download). Plus, I had absolutely no input on the type of shots I wanted once she started shooting. Well golly gee wasn't it a big shocker when she speed shoots and then tries to hand over a bill for $275! I coughed. I said I hadn't budgeted for that nor did I agreed to pay any more than $175. Talk about a bait and switch. Maybe that's why she was quick to agree to $175? I ultimately offered $210 because I think the photos look amazing and hoped that giving a little more than the agreed upon $175 might appease her. Unfortunately, her demeanor went from mildly abrupt to downright obnoxious. She snapped at me and stormed off, leaving her assistant to wrap things up; refusing to even acknowledge my presence from then on. Didn't even say goodbye. Who acts that way after 14? Especially someone whose business depends on professionalism. The whole day left a crappy taste in my mouth and a knot in the pit of stomach. There are some people you should never do business with no matter how talented they are. This is one of them. read more

Deidhra is AMAZING! She and her makeup artist are so talented and knows exactly what to do to get you a stunning headshot. She went over the looks with me and we figured out together what did and didn't work on camera. Then while taking the pictures she coached me through poses that really showed me off in the best light. If there was anything I thought needed to be changed we collaborated so that I could get exactly what I was looking for. I am so thrilled with how they turned out. I have shot with her twice now and I will definitely be coming back when I need them again in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!! read more

Very disappointed I had been a Reoccurring Customer of her's for about 6 years loved her photos and keep going back. June 2020 I went and had my sons headshots done everything was good went back had my oldest daughter headshots done and the weather was bad so she asked me to come back I reschedule and everything shut down again with Covid and tried to reach out through email and tried to call her to make sure they We're still open since I live a hour away and didn't want to waste my time driving down there for nothing plus I didn't realize my daughter had another appointment the same day with her College professor who needed to sit down with her and I had to let him know if we could or couldn't make that appointment. I didn't hear back enough time from Deidhra and asked to Reschedule it and I even offered to Pay the cancellation fee and got the run around for a month in the end I'm out 300 dollars and didn't get to redo her headshots I will not go back again! read more

if you're considering coming here for your headshots, please reconsider. this should be your last option.

I recently got new theatrical headshots done by Deidhra, about a month ago, and I'm so happy with them! I got my photos the same day I shot with her, and my reps are thrilled with the results! Deidhra went above and beyond getting the perfect shot for each look I needed, and was a true collaborator in the process of picking backdrops and clothing options. I've already seen an uptick in my self-submission responses, and I feel so much more confident submitting now that I have such specific headshots for different looks. Deidhra really worked with me, listened to what I needed, got me through my self-conscious moments (and there were plenty) and has an expert eye when it comes to getting that uniquely powerful shot without ever pushing you to do/be something you're not. I'll absolutely be working with her on my next set of photos, and recommending her to my friends. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned her outstanding package prices, which I honestly think are too low for the quality of photos and service I received. I used to think that better headshots meant a bigger price tag, but Deidhra has proved me wrong. TL;DR Deidhra is an expert photographer with a great vibe and low prices, and her shots have already proven themselves in terms of getting me noticed when submitting for projects. I'd give 10 stars if I could. read more
