The only reason I did not complain in person was because I was afraid they would treat my visit carelessly and not give me proper care.

When I mentioned in a pleasant way how disturbing it is to be on hold for that long, there was no apology, just a quick dismissal and straight to business rudeness. When I reflected back on the delay I was quickly told that they get 350 calls a day. I mentioned that if it takes you twenty minutes per call, I can see the problem. How about putting the customer first and hire additional phone assistance. She quickly discounted my comment and asked if there was something she could do. I then asked for a referral to their competition. I wouldn't go to this organization unless they were the only option. If there care is anything like their customer service, they shouldn't be in this business.

My knee completely blew out while I was dusting. I went to URMC Orthopedic Urgent Care where they…read moredid an X-ray and gave me a cortisone injection in my knee. Days later, my knee was still red, swollen, hot and very painful. They refused to see me again or let me see any Orthopedic surgeon before 3 months later. Finally, in desperation, I had my pain specialist order an MRI which also scheduled for 5 weeks out. Turned out, despite having had an X-ray, it turned out, I had a to tibeal plateau fracture, which is serious. It took me 2 1/2 months to see my surgeon. I spent 2 1/2 months walking on a fracture because URMC wouldn't let me see any Orthopedic Doctor at all!

When I called to ask about seeing a doctor about a new patient, I was yelled at by a woman who asked who I wanted to see, that I needed a referral from my PCP, despite being on a no referral insurance plan, and was told I needed to tell them what I wanted, and proceeded to ask if I wanted shots, knee replacements, therapy? When I told her I wanted to see a particular doctor who was recommended who should be the one to decide that, she asked for my information, found that I tried to schedule an appointment with a different doctor in their system who never called me back for an appointment and then gave me an attitude about me "not getting a knee replacement because you're only 30." I was told I needed to send all of my medical records for them, so I did that. They never called me back to tell me if they received anything within a week, so I called back a week later on the 28th of February. They said they haven't received anything but I had confirmed with the other places that they had been faxed to the correct number. Called back on the 4th of March to see if they received anything, and the person I had been talking to previously (the yelling woman) told me they received everything and would talk to the doctor to see if he would see me. Well, that was the 4th of March and this is now April 8th and I still have yet to receive a phone call back about whether or not they'd see me. What a joke. I thought ghosting was a problem with millennials and gen z kids, but in reality, it's actually this place. At least have the decency to call me back and tell me your doctor refuses to see me.
