Why can't all medical personnel be this nice? I needed to see a pain management doctor as soon as possible. After calling around to numerous locations, I was able to reach one and I got Josie. Wow!!! talk about exceeding expectations! I wanted to see Dr Gupta and the only available appointment was 2 days later. After hearing my frustration, she put me on hold and came back saying that "Dr. Gupta is cancelling a meeting he had and would see me on this very day". Who does that? I told Josie that was so nice of her and him to do this and her answer was "we care about the patients and their needs". Then I met Dr Gupta...what a wonderful person. He echoed what Josie said about caring about the patient and making sure all that can be done is done". He went on to explain my options and what I could expect in terms of costs. To top it off, after I was given the his portion of the costs for my procedure, I later got a call from Josie telling me that it would actually be $100 LESS. Again, WHO DOES THIS? Dr. Gupta is wonderful. I have had chronic pain for 9 years and had lost hope of any relief. He has worked with me, he treats me with respect and listens to my concerns. He knew of my mistrust of doctors and he gained trust over just a few visits. I don't agree with everything he's suggested and not everything has worked for me, but we're still working together and it has made a lot of difference in my quality of life. His staff is good, I've had a small miscommunication with them here and there, but they have to deal with so many different issues, everyone is unique and takes a lot of getting to know them and their needs. They get it right in the end and I won't ding them for anything. They do try and it's so much better than anything I've dealt with before. My advice for anyone going there, be open to suggestions, ask a lot of questions and know he won't push anything on you that you won't feel comfortable with. I was seen at this office last year for chronic pain in my neck and shoulders to a herniated disc. Dr. Gupta recommended a cervical epidural. The surgery center he and his staff referrred me to was not an in network provider, but they did not tell me this. As a result, I paid more out of pocket, and no money was applied to my in network deductible. Now I am having to see a specialist for another issue and will have to pay out of pocket for the first $800 since I have not met my in network deductible. I feel that it is crucial that a doctor's office be honest with their patients about this, and also, is the patient not the most important thing to a dr.? Isn't he/she supposed to have the patient's best interest at heart? I would never use this office again and recommend that anyone who does, checks with their insurance to be sure they are not being taken advantage of. read more

i just went into the office to try and get an appt , i have been on pain management for 7 years and was looking around for a new one now that i just purchased a Blue Shield PPO . Dr. Gupta is amazing! This is first time that a primary physician (PA) has ever referred me to "pain management specialist" after all these years! I've had pain through out my body it was a part of my day to day life. I was not aware that there could be procedures to help with this chronic pain. I just would ice or use a heating pad and take 6 Tylenols at a time to get some relief...PT helped for the short term relief but the pain always came back the following day. My first visit, OMG I was a hot mess! Dr. Gupta was so easy to speak with, and very committed to helping me get some relief and it's working! It does take time, as the chronic pain as taken all these years to build up. I'm still under his care we working together to get me back to the old me! When I was diagnosed with 3 autoimmune diseases 2 years ago it's been an uphill battle. It wasn't until a few months ago I gave in and went to pain management at the referral of people with similar issues. I was reluctant thinking they would throw pain pills at it, so I'm beyond thrilled after meeting Dr. Gupta and his staff. First, the front office staff is perfection! I've never had an office print out and explain my insurance to me. Usually someone would say "just call Aetna". But she took the time to explain it, and they are both incredibly kind! Which is outstanding when you're in pain, to have people that are caring help you. Then I met Dr. Gupta, he must have sat and talked with me for close to 45 minutes explaining the various methods we can try. What is better, he tries to stay away from opioids and you have to agree to terms for some meds! This was refreshing to not just have a pill thrown at it. Nerve blocks in my head for migraines, I didn't know they exist and they do wonders! He also suggests things like yoga...he truly thinks outside the box to get you to your best self. Dr. Gupta and his team gave me back my life! I am so grateful to him and his expertise! It was over a year ago, that I finally got diagnosed with RSD (later termed CRPS). I was in a boot, on crutches, and unable to drive let alone resume a normal life. I had been passed around from one bad doctor to another, getting numerous different diagnoses but no solutions. I was so miserable and frustrated when I first started seeing Dr. Gupta. I've been seeing Dr. Gupta for several years now. Prior to that, I'd seen two other pain management doctors. He is BY FAR my FAVORITE, and his staff are the most helpful and responsive. Other places I've literally waited hours, had rude, unknowledgeable staff, and encountered doctors who only prescribe drugs or offer no help whatsoever. Dr. Gupta is so helpful, empathetic, and knowledgeable! He offers multiple ideas and solutions in addition to medications so I am not drugged up. He helps with injections, physical therapy, and non-narcotic ideas. He won't just be your drug dealer, so if that's what you want, don't bother. He LISTENS to what I want and don't want, and does what he can to help. His staff is helpful with my requests, answers my questions, gives referrals, passes along billing information, etc. I LOVE IT HERE, and I recommend it to everyone with chronic pain who wants multiple ways to try to control it! read more
