Is this medical facility somewhere you would recommend for back? Is there a doctor in this facility you would recommend?

I think there is only one doctor, Dr. Jiang. He is good and very easy to talk to. I may be wrong but I have not seen any other doctor operating at the very small office.

The staff and Dr. Kumar is first class and extremely efficient. Wait, times are non-existent. I have a lot of issues, and Dr. Kumar always listens and recommends the conservative approach. He doesn't push anything, and he always allowed me to do what is right for my situation. Unfortunately, I am moving out of state and can no longer go to Dr. Kumar. I will miss Dr Kumar, his staff, and, more importantly, the excellent care that I have received for the last 4 years. If you are looking for a caring, conservative pain management, Dr. Then I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and his staff. Lastly, I would like to thank Dr. Kumar and his staff for the excellent care that I received and for their professionalism. I wish you all everything and more. Please take care and be well. Thank you, Steven M.

They had three associates working to get patients checked in or out as the case might be. They were moving through the queue as fast as they could. When my turn came to check in the representative was very friendly and thorough, despite the chaos of so many people in the waiting area. I asked if it is always that busy there. She said that Thursdays are often their busiest days. Dear Hubby explained (he's been a patient there, too) that their doctors rotate to several offices - likely Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, in addition to Simi. Despite the busy load of patients in the waiting room I was called in fairly quickly. Dr. "Siva" came to talk with me and go over MRI results shortly thereafter. There were some surprises in what the MRI revealed which I wasn't expecting. I'll be starting physical therapy soon and we'll see how it all goes. I liked the straight-forward communication style of Dr. Siva. He offered information, compassion, and a plan to move forward.

He examined me and said "even though you don't have carpel tunnel, I'm going to treat it as such." ????? Then recommended a nerve study for my upper right extremity and doesn't even offer that in house. He referred me to some other doctor with rude staff. After getting that done, the neurologist sent him my results. I wasn't able to view it online in the UCLA portal. (Note: I found a separate unaffiliated neurologist because I was not going to go to the one he suggested with the rude receptionist) So in order to get my results, the front office staff informed me I needed to schedule an appointment. lol I let them know I'm entitled to my medical records. They wouldn't fax or send to me in any way. They required me to go in person. And you know what? The results showed no findings. Sooo imagine I had spent time, money, gas to go to the office for an appointment just for him to tell me the test showed nothing. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I had to request the protective apron. - PT office overbooks; PT is unable to watch, adjust, and make sure you're learning enough about how to properly do the movements because they're focused on more than one client at a time. - Lots of socialization between the PTs; it's great to have fun at work but not when there's a patient in front of you - Doc wouldn't give any diagnosis without scans. $300 later + exposure to radiation, with no further in understanding or explanation of the issue. My acupuncturist was able to tell me what's going on after a short evaluation. - Doc made me return and pay a second copay for a full evaluation because he refused to assess more than two body parts per visit, even though everything is connected and related - Front desk (quite grumpy) refused to schedule my third appointment stating there was an insurance issue; we were told it's a training matter when we escalated Too many issues! If you'd like to know where I went for PT and got much better results, you are welcome to DM me OR just check out my reviews for the other PT office (there's only one other).

After talking with him and trying physical therapy and various medications that did not work and not wanting surgery I decided to try a lumbar epidural spinal injection to alleviate the pain. Dr Vu performed the injection. He explained the procedure in detail to me and the possible outcomes prior to the injection. It could or could not work and the duration of pain relief was undetermined based on the person and situation. I was happily surprised that the injection did work BUT unfortunately the pain returned gradually and was fully back approximately 2 months later and once again I was unable to resume daily activities without pain. Dr. Vu then spent time with me discussing other options we could try that could be helpful based on prior treatments not giving me relief. We tried another treatment and it has been a GAME CHANGER! I now have resumed all of my daily activities pain free!!!! NO PAIN! No surgery! He also gave me helpful stretches I could do at home. I like the fact that the doctors at Ventura Ortho Simi Valley, knowing that surgery was the very last option for me, worked with me as a team to find the best solution for my medical issue and did not give up. I am so happy with Dr. Vu and Ventura Orthopedics - Simi Valley!

I am angry and disgusted at the horrible office management at Ventura Orthopedics and warn anyone…read morereading this to consider the following facts before patronizing this patient-hostile provider. I scheduled an appointment yesterday to see Dr. Wang at 2:00 PM today for a painful, suddenly swelling cyst on my hand. Because they confirmed this appointment, I cancelled a backup appointment I had with another doctor for next week, and was relieved that I would be seen sooner. However, today, on the morning of my appointment, I received a voice message and text message stating my appointment was cancelled and that I needed to call a billing number. This "billing" number turned out to be a cell phone number that took me five attempts to finally get through to. When I finally reached someone, I was told I could not be seen because of an alleged unpaid balance for a MRI from 2007. That is 19 years ago. I have absolutely no recollection of ever having an MRI done by this provider and believe this is a mistake. Even if it were true, they checked their records when I made the appointment yesterday and noted that I last visited in 2015. Although I don't recall what the visit was for, I would most likely remember if I had been advised at that time that there was an unpaid balance. During yesterday's call to set the appointment, they did not at any time mention that I had an unpaid balance, despite spending about 15 minutes on the phone with me to update their records. Today, 19 years later, they are claiming I have an unpaid balance arising from a MRI allegedly performed 19 years ago, and used this as an excuse to cancel my current appointment. Needless to say, I am livid at the unprofessional, rude and vindictive manner in which this was handled. I have no opinion of Dr. Wang, since I didn't get to see her. Her website bio details demonstrate that she has a decent educational and professional background, so she may be a great doctor, but the office management of her practice is rude, unprofessional and couldn't care less about you or whatever pain you may be experiencing. Because I made the mistake yesterday of relying on Ventura Orthopedics' confirmation of today's appointment, I cancelled my appointment with the other doctor. Since Ventura Orthopedics waited until the day of my appointment to cancel my appointment, I cannot find a replacement for today, and I am forced to endure pain over the weekend and into next week as a result of the actions of the jerks who run this practice. Since their office management is untrustworthy and despicable, I would not recommend Ventura Orthopedics to anyone.
