I will never go back to the commack location. I've been coming to beach bum for 20 years in the city. I have zero clue why they would hire someone who is so oddly mean to people. I loveeee tanning at beach bum! I only go for about 2 months a year…read more Place is kept clean, staff is friendly. My tanning lotion lasts me a very long time. The only upset is that the bed I use, has a misting feature during each tan. There have been several instances on where more water needed to be added and I could not enjoy this feature I pay for. It really ruins the tan experience. Each employee while cleaning the bed should check the water level to make sure it's not running low!

Christine is a lovely person and accommodating salon owner. Someone posted that she didn't show up…read morefor an appointment because she thought she had the day off then the reviewer said Christine had a family matter to attend and claimed she got "two different stories!" How is that? She had a family emergency and took that day off because of it. It amazes me that some customers think the world revolves around them when, clearly, an owner is human, and sometimes needs the day for important family matters! I've been going to this salon since she became the owner and everything runs perfectly and it's because of Christine that it does! Additionally, years ago I used to go to a tanning salon in Holbrook that severely overcharged, never replaced bulbs, and didn't return customers' calls! It was a wonderful change coming to Sunkissed, even though it was farther away from my home. Sorry, but the complainers in these reviews really need to grow up!

Every room every surface and every piece of equipment is clearly cleaned and maintained at a very high standard. It is refreshing to find a tanning salon that takes cleanliness so seriously. The atmosphere is another major highlight. The salon has a chic upbeat vibe that feels modern welcoming and energetic without being overwhelming. It is a place where you actually enjoy spending time rather than just rushing in and out. Everything from the layout to the lighting contributes to a positive and relaxing experience. The woman at the counter who I believe is the owner is absolutely wonderful. She is extremely helpful knowledgeable and genuinely kind. You can tell she truly cares about her business and about every customer who walks through the door. She takes the time to explain options answer questions and make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. That level of personal attention makes a huge difference and is becoming rare these days. The equipment is well maintained and clearly cared for just like the rest of the salon. Nothing feels rushed or neglected and the entire experience feels professional from start to finish. It is clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into keeping everything running smoothly. Overall Sun Lounge is the kind of local business that deserves support. It is clean welcoming stylish and run by someone who clearly takes pride in what she does. If you are looking for a tanning salon in the Smithtown area that is sanitary professional and has a great vibe this is absolutely the place to go. Five stars without hesitation.

I have been tanning at this beach bum for over ten years. As I got older,I decided to switch from…read morethe tanning bed to an airbrush tan for special occasions. My first airbrush experience was nothing but amazing! Annie was absolutely incredible and I would HIGHLY recommend her. She took her time, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My tan lasted over a week and faded seamlessly when it did. I was not blotchy and my tan looked natural. I did the shower in an hour and also purchased the two additional add ons, toner and moisture lock. The add ons were applied in separate even coats with canister changes. My tan was flawless and I got so many compliments. I knew I'd be back for my next event! Flash forward to now. I made another airbrush appointment but unfortunately Annie was not working the day I needed and the store manager (who I will not name) applied my airbrush tan. I purchased the same tan... shower in an hour, toner, moisture lock. When the manager came in to tan me, she started with the color right away. I had asked to confirm that I was getting the toner I paid for and she assured me "it was mixed in". She did not change the color/canister once and my mind was starting to think something was up. The entire process was less than 10 minutes and rushed but I thought I was happy with the color. I went home and instantly noticed the color was blotchy and wearing off in places. I called not one... but two.. other Long Island locations and asked the process of an airbrush tan. They assured me it was to go on in three separate coats and would not be mixed together, just as my first tan experience had gone. I went back to the salon and spoke with the store manager(who sprayed me) and she assured me that the add ons are "additives" when using shower in an hour and everything I paid for was all mixed in at once, despite the other two salons AND my previous experience stating otherwise. Flash forward to 24 hours later... the color is orange and already blotchy. I called and spoke with the assistant manager, Cameron. She also assured me that the add ons should NEVER be mixed and the tan should always be applied as three separate canisters and the solutions are three different colors. After explaining the situation, she was extremely helpful and was able to fix the situation I was in. I am extremely appreciative of Cameron. She sounded professional and knowledgeable and I would definitely give her a chance as an airbrush artist. My tan from the store manager is already fading and EXTREMELY blotchy and patchy not even 48 hours later despite following all post care instructions which just confirms even more that I did not receive the items I paid for, even when the tan was being administered by the store manager. All in all, I would visit the salon again because Annie and Cameron were wonderful and Cameron was able to fix the problem at hand. Annie was an absolutely amazing airbrush artist and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She truly is amazing at what she does! However I would absolutely NOT recommend the store manager as your airbrush artist. Thank you again to Cameron for fixing this situation for me! It was so appreciated.

The booths are always so clean and smell amazing. I can't wait to go back next week for my airbrush!

Upon returning, Olivia greeted me with a smile and helped me get signed back up ... As when I left, only 2 beds had new bulbs and the remaining sucked... Never got much color... And she knew how to SPRAY TAN!!! Excellent I may add... I was getting ready to return again, and to my surprise found out she is no longer there... Hmmm .. WHY???? Boca just lost another customer.. for good... oh well... only wish I did not have to add any stars. Only for Olivia would I give stars...if she was still here.... In response to Mr. Anthony C, First of all , just because you have to collect your followers that way, You have no right to say that this account and review is fake... And if you truly are the owner of this business, well it is really sad that you did not learn to be a decent , professional one!! A REAL business professional owner would be more concern on how customers feel about their business and employees then worrying about a "fake" account and buying instagram followers... In conclusion, you fired not one but 2 very professional, kind workers that were blindsided by your unprofessional ways.... And your beds really do suck!!! Beach bum tanning down the road has better... Oh wait, I understand now... your Mother was never a professional businessman either, so the apple didn't fall far from the tree... apologies you poor fool.
