Christine is a lovely person and accommodating salon owner. Someone posted that she didn't show up…read morefor an appointment because she thought she had the day off then the reviewer said Christine had a family matter to attend and claimed she got "two different stories!" How is that? She had a family emergency and took that day off because of it. It amazes me that some customers think the world revolves around them when, clearly, an owner is human, and sometimes needs the day for important family matters! I've been going to this salon since she became the owner and everything runs perfectly and it's because of Christine that it does! Additionally, years ago I used to go to a tanning salon in Holbrook that severely overcharged, never replaced bulbs, and didn't return customers' calls! It was a wonderful change coming to Sunkissed, even though it was farther away from my home. Sorry, but the complainers in these reviews really need to grow up!

So I bought 50 min for $60 most recently and that suddenly expire for not coming. It's not as if I make an appt and don't show up. It's not like someone can't use the bed. I'm literally pre-paying and you're saying my money vanished. You literally take my money and bc I don't come frequently enough to cause skin cancer, my money somehow loses its value. The last package expired last week. $60 for 50 minutes (6 sessions) in the lowest level bed. Not only did my money just suddenly have no value when I went to buy a new package it was now $84 for 5 sessions. The front desk receptionist or tanologist said "well if you don't come we get to keep your money". Cmon Catherine. Gone are the days when your girls treated customers of 30 years with a smile and a morsel of respect. Left a message and asked Catherine the owner who is so nice in person to give me a call. I have been tanning at this beach bum for over ten years. As I got older,I decided to switch from…read morethe tanning bed to an airbrush tan for special occasions. My first airbrush experience was nothing but amazing! Annie was absolutely incredible and I would HIGHLY recommend her. She took her time, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My tan lasted over a week and faded seamlessly when it did. I was not blotchy and my tan looked natural. I did the shower in an hour and also purchased the two additional add ons, toner and moisture lock. The add ons were applied in separate even coats with canister changes. My tan was flawless and I got so many compliments. I knew I'd be back for my next event! Flash forward to now. I made another airbrush appointment but unfortunately Annie was not working the day I needed and the store manager (who I will not name) applied my airbrush tan. I purchased the same tan... shower in an hour, toner, moisture lock. When the manager came in to tan me, she started with the color right away. I had asked to confirm that I was getting the toner I paid for and she assured me "it was mixed in". She did not change the color/canister once and my mind was starting to think something was up. The entire process was less than 10 minutes and rushed but I thought I was happy with the color. I went home and instantly noticed the color was blotchy and wearing off in places. I called not one... but two.. other Long Island locations and asked the process of an airbrush tan. They assured me it was to go on in three separate coats and would not be mixed together, just as my first tan experience had gone. I went back to the salon and spoke with the store manager(who sprayed me) and she assured me that the add ons are "additives" when using shower in an hour and everything I paid for was all mixed in at once, despite the other two salons AND my previous experience stating otherwise. Flash forward to 24 hours later... the color is orange and already blotchy. I called and spoke with the assistant manager, Cameron. She also assured me that the add ons should NEVER be mixed and the tan should always be applied as three separate canisters and the solutions are three different colors. After explaining the situation, she was extremely helpful and was able to fix the situation I was in. I am extremely appreciative of Cameron. She sounded professional and knowledgeable and I would definitely give her a chance as an airbrush artist. My tan from the store manager is already fading and EXTREMELY blotchy and patchy not even 48 hours later despite following all post care instructions which just confirms even more that I did not receive the items I paid for, even when the tan was being administered by the store manager. All in all, I would visit the salon again because Annie and Cameron were wonderful and Cameron was able to fix the problem at hand. Annie was an absolutely amazing airbrush artist and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She truly is amazing at what she does! However I would absolutely NOT recommend the store manager as your airbrush artist. Thank you again to Cameron for fixing this situation for me! It was so appreciated.
