Julie (Jett since there are two Julies on their business cards) cut my oldest daughter's hair and gave her a completely new style back on July 29, 2024. From the mouth of my 11-year-old: "She did really good. She was really nice. I loved that she actually talked to me rather than the other employees." I concur. She treated my daughter like a young adult and gave her so many great tips for starting middle school. Shampoo wash, haircut, drying, and styling in roughly a half hour for $30? Yes! While it is a smaller salon, it's clean and super cute. I know my haircut will most likely be more expensive, but I cannot wait to schedule an appointment here. Make your appointment at least a week in advance. They book up fast!

It was by far the cleanest nail salon I have been to in Hobbs, NM. A lady next to me told us that they recently got new chairs at the foot spa area, I presumed. That being said, while my manicurist (a guy) did a decent job, I was a bit disappointed with some of the shaping after a closer look. Plus, I should have gotten two coats of color instead of just one, but lesson learned. My price was $50. It's also not the most relaxing environment with all of the employees chattering so much, but I have been in worse places. At least they were friendly. The manager, maybe owner, complimented me on my shapely physique. "You looked 18 from behind." Ah ha! It was a bit flirtatious for my liking, but I appreciate the honesty as I have been working on toning my body. I'll be back in a couple of weeks.

On April 11, 2025, I walked in hoping for a consultation that would lead to an appointment. A nice stylist who met me at the counter quickly referred me over to Kynsie who came in just shortly after I did. So we made an appointment for 10 am on April 15. I am loving my highlights--Kynsie did great! I had the full service actually... Shampoo. Condition. Little head massage. Cut. Blowout. Style. Pureology and Moroccanoil were the primary products she used. I asked for subtle highlights, but I will definitely have Kynsie increase the intensity next time.

They had their grand opening on August 23, 2024. I finally popped in while my kiddo was at karate class on January 7, 2025. Owned and operated by the family and creators of Martin Boot Co., the beautiful, clean shop is solely for men and women with quite an array of sizes. They offer workout clothes, yoga outfits, and golf attire. I was impressed with the quality of their materials and designs. The prices were not exceedingly high, but don't expect Walmart budgets to go far here. Additionally, they sell shoes and some accessories such as candles, sunglasses, tumblers, lip balms, and skincare supplies. There are no kids' clothing here and that will likely remain, according to the owner with whom I spoke personally - she's lovely!

I got the feeling he didn't want to be there, and sure enough, after he began the pedicure he half heartedly went through the leg/foot massage, and was not even paying attention to what he was doing. He was watching a TV that was on a wall a few feet away. The pedicure was rushed. It was not enjoyable at all, and not worth the extra money for the massage. I had previously been to this salon maybe 3 times before then, and was hopeful for a good experience. But no. It was always a let down. No plans to return there.

Popped into Kamia Nail Lounge on November 17, 2022…read more I was immediately taken in by a nice young woman. I needed my usual... old gel mani removal and a new one with nail reshaping. It ended up being just over $40. The shop itself was reasonably clean... and decorated for Christmas already with music to compliment the holiday season in the background. Three things that made appreciate this shop as opposed to others I've tried recently: 1) she repair a break in my thumbnail, 2) she moved with a sense of urgency, & 3) she told me "see you next time!" The place wasn't at all busy at 10AM. Definitely I'll be visiting again!
