Gel and shellac are very similar in regards to how they are applied. Exposure to UV light in both methods occurs. However, I read that shellac is a bit more gentle and easier to remove and not as damaging as gel. The biggest pitfall seems to be that shellac manis don't last as long as gels. Moving onto the actual place... They didn't have a black shimmer polish available, only plain black. This nail salon is in a plaza adjacent to the nearby Walmart. Ample, free parking. I'm not sure I will be returning because it wasn't relaxing hearing multiple children screaming & crying at dentist office next door. Also, twice during my approximately 45-minute walk-in session, a male employee came up to my nail tech and conversed with her for several minutes, disengaging her attention with the sharp cuticle trimmers she was using on me. Tip may be added to card transactions. My total on 9/13/2022 was just under $33.

Julie (Jett since there are two Julies on their business cards) cut my oldest daughter's hair and gave her a completely new style back on July 29, 2024. From the mouth of my 11-year-old: "She did really good. She was really nice. I loved that she actually talked to me rather than the other employees." I concur. She treated my daughter like a young adult and gave her so many great tips for starting middle school. Shampoo wash, haircut, drying, and styling in roughly a half hour for $30? Yes! While it is a smaller salon, it's clean and super cute. I know my haircut will most likely be more expensive, but I cannot wait to schedule an appointment here. Make your appointment at least a week in advance. They book up fast!

I never went to their old place, but when I went in today (December 5, 2024) I was impressed. Bought my first pair of Judy Blue jeans ($69) in black with a high waist. These will be perfect for winter - and so comfortable. I really wanted a green corduroy pair, but they already sold out of my size. I also purchased a gold pair of dangling earrings for New Year's Eve ($8.50). Even if I stay home with the kids, I enjoy glamming up a bit - and they love it when I do too. The employees were friendly & welcoming. They have a waxing station (see photo). Walk-ins are welcome, but sometimes not offered on some Saturdays. Prices were as follows: Brows $12 Chin $12 Lips $12 Full face $35 On Saturday, December 7, 2024, they will be having their Grand Re-Opening (photo also posted). Cute, clean store. Dressing rooms available. They are the only boutique in town that I know of that sells Bare Minerals products. Great new addition for women of all ages.
