I brought my 10yo daughter here to get her first real haircut in at least 4 years. I was nervous about going somewhere I didn't know and having them mess her hair up. She had an idea of what she wanted but was nervous about it looking bad after it would be cut shorter. Kim was the stylist who did her hair and she was incredible. Very kind from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent at communicating with her directly, discussing the options and adjusting her hair before even starting to cut it so my daughter had a rough idea of how it would look. I could see the appreciation in my daughter's face that an adult was talking to her directly and not asking me for inout. Kim took time to explain proper upkeep in washing it and getting down into the scalp, and the final cut came out absolutely delightfully. For sure will bring my daughter back here for trims and future cuts. read more

I didn't appreciate coming after scheduling an appointment a few days earlier and being treated like a an inconvenience off the streets. "Do you have an appointment?" By the greeter, followed by the stylist stating "it's going to be a few minutes" without even looking at me. I left my house, and event early to get a decent haircut and it's now 2:10 and I'm walking out cause the stylist is on her phone while I'm waiting. Brittany is a great stylist, but it feels like another salon that doesn't really want me(n) for customers. I gave it one star because of past experiences with Brittany. read more

Wonderful service and my style was perfect! The stylist was friendly and exceedingly accomodating.

Just wanted to give an update on my destroyed hair. My daughter called the salon because I was so upset and talked with Kim the owner who cut my hair. Kim actually told her she only cut 2 1/2 inches off my hair. So be warned this is what Kim thinks is a 2 1/2 Inch cut is (see photos) i also tried to write a review on her afterimage website and i was unable to because her booking software said I was never a customer. That's the way she keeps only 5 star reviews on her site...pretty tricky. I wonder how many other people she has blocked like this? I still canot believe how this happened. I waited so long to have my hair cut . It took me 4 years to grow my hair long and Kim showed no consideration for me when she just cut 10 inches off without showing me how much amount she was cutting off. My daughter actually thinks that she cut off an amount that other salons would of asked me if i wanted to donated my hair. I keep asking my self why , why , why of all the hundreds of salons i had to choose from this Is the one i selected. read more

An awful experience. No greeting, no communication. Booked my son with one stylist who pawned him off on some other unqualified young girl. She did not do a good job. My son is very self-conscious of his appearance and it took me months to get him to agree to go get a haircut. Now we're starting over from square one and I'm going to have to spend another $40+ at some other salon. We will NEVER go back here again and judging by some of the other reviews, neither should you. read more

I don't trust anyone else to go bold with a cut or color I'm apprehensive about and still know that I can have her advice to come out with the best new hair cut and color! Finding Carrie at After Image in Everett was a huge win! I scheduled an evening appointment online via yelp, there is plenty of parking, it is a clean and safe environment, there is an espresso and tea bar, and the salon decor definitely WOWS!! I scheduled my very first appointment yesterday ONLINE for color, highlights, toner, cut, and style. Carrie Kirksey took my shaggy, brassy hair and made it look like a sleek shiny super model's hair in just a few hours. Carrie has some serious hair skills, is super professional, easy to talk to, gives great hair advice, and is really just perfect. The After Image salon is right downtown Everett with plenty of parking all around. I easily found a spot right out front at dinner time for free. The building has personality and the shop is decorated to impress. All in all...I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I saw Brittany under the worst of conditions. My problem was a haircut I had gotten somewhere else that was too short, choppy, and frizzy that needed to be corrected and colored. My goal was to was make it as cute as possible until it grows out and color it a color that did not look orange in the sunshine and in some indoor lighting. Brittany more than met my goal especially considering what she had to work with. She managed to make a disaster look cute and nailed the color. No more orange. Brittany is my now my new go to girl. I honestly can't wait for my hair to need another trim and color because I know Brittany will do an awesome job. I did see Brittany again. Thank goodness my hair grows fast. Brittany cut my hair in such a way that it now looks like I have a styled haircut instead of some choppy disaster. She also touch up the color. I am starting to like my hair again. I can't say enough good things about After Image Salon. Kim has been cutting my hair for 20 years and both of my kids have never had anyone else cut their hair. That right there is saying a lot! I wouldn't stick with someone if they weren't doing a consistenly wonderful job-and Kim surely does! We always get great cuts-and we all have very different hair! Mine is super fine, my daughter's is super (SUPER!) thick and my son's is, well boy hair :) Kim knows exactly what to do to make us look great everytime. The salon is absolutely gorgeous. Whitney was amazing. I walked in without an appointment after work desperately needing a haircut, or aggressive trim, in my case. She checked to see if there was anyone available, there wasn't. She looked at my hair, clarified what I needed, then said she would do it. Keep in mind that she was tidying up to go home for the night. Despite that fact, she took her time, didn't rush, gave me her full attention, and treated my haircut as if I was a scheduled client. I would strongly recommend seeing Whitney for your hair. About 1-1/2 years ago, I called After Image because it was in my neighborhood. After explaining my issues, the person answering the phone recommended Carrie Kirksey. She has been GREAT! I just had my hair done by Joey and I gotta say I LOVE IT!!!!! He is very professional and knows his stuff. The salon is super cute. It is in a small area of Everett(Lowell) The prices are more than reasonable too, I am a hairstylist myself but work alone and fell it very important to be pampered just like everyone else.
