When I got there, almost everyone seemed to have arrived as a couple or in a group, and I was like... why did I come here?! The server and bartender were both nice, as were the people walking into the bar at the entrance. I started to feel more comfortable, especially once I took in the dark, cool ambiance. The woman making batches of cocktails right in front of me was kind of mesmerizing, too. I went with the house dirty martini, infused with truffles. You could taste a subtle hint of truffle, which made it feel a little more special without being overwhelming. 600 T is cozy and artistic, with a low-key atmosphere where you can mind your own business, but if you want to talk, you still can. You don't have to, though.

It's a cocktail that clearly gets attention from the bartenders rather than being an afterthought on the menu. The setting adds to it -- a cozy, subterranean speakeasy vibe with a wood-burning fireplace, exposed lighting, and a jazz soundtrack that makes it feel like a proper night out rather than just a bar stop. Great spot for a date night or a low-key evening with friends. Solid pick if you're in Shaw and want a well-crafted cocktail in a space with real character.

The drinks are definitely on the pricier side, but honestly, they are worth it. My friends ordered the Coco Motion, which had such a beautiful color and looked almost too pretty to drink. I ordered the Jungle Bird, and it was exactly what I like--just the right amount of sweetness with a great flavor. I really enjoyed every sip! If you're looking for a unique cocktail experience with well-crafted drinks and a knowledgeable bartender, I definitely recommend checking out Cotton & Reed. I'll definitely be back!

The cocomotion was genuinely one of my favorite rum drinks I have tried in dc and is perfectly worth the hype it has gotten. I would be interested to go back and try some of their other drinks as well. It seems like they also have nice happy hour specials, so I will be back to test that out too. There seemed to be a birthday party or something happening in the back room when I went, so it was pretty crowded. I think the front room has some great spaces to sit, as well as a bar along one of the other walls to rest a drink on while talking to people. My main feedback is that it could use a little more seating, but overall is very fun and easy to mingle.

We grabbed a couple drinks and ordered some snacks while we hung out. The soft pretzel with mustard was good, but the buffalo chicken dip with Cheetos was the winner. It was exactly the kind of over-the-top bar food that works after a couple drinks. The atmosphere is really what makes the place. It was busy and energetic without feeling like a club, and we could still sit, have a drink, and actually talk. Cool spot for cocktails, snacks, and hanging out for a while. Definitely somewhere we'd come back to.

I always leave with new songs on my playlist. It is on the smaller side so I wouldn't suggest for a huge group. But if you're looking to grab a cocktail with a few friends or by yourself I definitely recommend. I ordered the Gold Rush! The drink was perfectly sweet and a good intro to bourbon, which I typically don't drink. I can't remember the second drink I got but it was equally delicious. I will note my friend was not a fan of her dirty martini. Overall great experiences.

Everything here is top notch, from the drinks to the service. I've been twice, both times without a reservation since we went on the later side, and we were seated within just a few minutes. You can tell the bartenders put a lot of care into what they do - from explaining what goes in the drinks, to even explaining the best ways to enjoy them. Lights of the Night Market is super special. It's perfectly balanced and an experience to sip on - savory, smoky, earthy, and a touch of sweet. Run Bing with Nai Nai and Cafe de Olla (their play on clarified milk punch and an espresso martini) were also great. Such fun little touches too, like candies that come with some drinks. My friends enjoyed Sabanetas and A Trevete Te Te last time. The baked Alaska shaved ice is also one of the best desserts I've ever had - layers of flavor and texture and again, an experience to eat! I love everything about this place, can't wait to go back and try more of the food.

Definitely recommend reserving since the space is smaller so walkins seem harder to grab. We were sat at the bar and I loved the space and decor. The lighting was really nice and cozy. The staff were really helpful with recommending items. I gave a flavor profile I was looking for and he recommended lights of night market Light of the night market: if you're a coconut water of pandan fan, this cocktail was so good and so smooth. It was really refreshing and had a nice Smokey flavor as well. The aftertaste was of the pandan and coconut and it was sweet without being sweet at the same time. Totally recommend to anyone looking for a "sweet" drink that isn't also overly sweet or syrupy A travete te te is a great punchy tart cocktail with guava as the main flavor. This one was really summery and paired really well with the shaved ice (also guava) The star for us was the baked Alaska. Initially the photos online is what drew me to this and I was okay if it was gimmicky but omg this has genuinely been one of the best desserts I've had in a really long time. The outside is toasted marshmallows and inside is really delicate shaved iced with guava syrup. At the bottom there's matcha cream with like a chunky strawberry jam and coconut jellies. Literally kept getting better as we ate. I usually find marshmallows too sweet but paired with the rest of the dessert it was all so nicely balanced. Would 10/10 come back just for this.

The kiddies menu WITH a coloring section on the back. And the server strapped the kiddies seat to the chair; didn't just plop it down and walk away. Aesthetically fitting (non-plastic) changing station in the restroom. We were a table of 10 and the tables pushed together without wobble; my plate sat flat straddling 2 tables. Was the floor leveled perfectly or did staff shim the tables to perfection. I don't know, but I've never experienced that level of perfection before.

I loved the details and vases on the little ledges over the windows. The service was friendly. Our waiter explained the menu thoroughly and offered suggestions. We tried the sunchokes, and we weren't really sure what vegetable we were getting. They were kind of like a potato or turnip. It was different for us, but we liked the flavor and presentation. The sticky toffee dessert was A+! Definitely recommend. Primrose is such a gem. I would definitely come back to dine again.
