We could tell there was maybe 2 cooks, the owner, and two servers (one doubled as a bartender) everyone was running foods, drinks, and etc. We were impressed. I have no idea what type of curry it was but it was delicious, the vegetable korma - i was expecting to have bell peppers, onions, and etc not a common mix of corn, green beans, and peas. I got an oxtail plate served over white rice and sides Yams and Mac & cheese. It came with a drink and I got sweet tea. On a whim I got the banana pudding too. Total paid $28. The service was very friendly. I just wasn't impressed by the food. The oxtails weren't spicy enough for me as a jamaican. They were tender and had a nice gravy. And 4 pieces was not enough for the price. The Yams were overly sweet to me. And the banana pudding - overly sweet. I could only eat a few spoonfuls and had to throw the rest of the pudding away. The Mac and cheese was slightly salty. The meal came with the option of biscuit or cornbread. The tea was way too sweet- diabetes in a cup. I used half a bottle of water to make it more suitable to drink.

Based upon the great reviews I decided to make a to go order. They offer a lunch combo which includes two egg rolls and they have a dinner portion that you can order. Their website does not allow you to order on-line so I had to call the order in. I ordered dinner portions of the Shrimp with Broccoli spicy and the sesame chicken, both with fried rice. The restaurant called me when my order was ready. The restaurant is located on a side street off of Houston Lake Rd, I missed my turn the first time and had to turn around. When I finally found the restaurant it was located in a unassuming shopping center next to a convenience store. Upon walking in I was greeted by a friendly staff. My order was handed to me immediately. The lighting was bright and the restaurant was very clean. My Shrimp with broccoli was delicious, nice and savory and my husband enjoyed his sesame chicken, he said it was yummy. We ordered: 3 piece leg (fried chicken) with two sides (Mac & cheese and greens with cornbread muffin, rib sandwich, catfish filet sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and fried okra. The fried chicken was goo, perfectly crispy, and there was a custom taste to the spices they used (though the mix personally wasn't my favorite). Hubs thought his catfish sandwich was really good and he loved the fried okra. Kid who ordered the pulled pork thought it was delicious. The rib sandwich was a bit of a surprise to the other kid - he thought it would be rib meat vs ribs with bone on in the sandwich. The Mac & cheese was good and the greens and cornbread were fabulous. Someone mentioned the price for the amount of food. I feel like the sandwiches were reasonable. The price/amount ration for the fried chicken plate was also as expected. So, all in all, support this small business, they've got good food, the customer service was excellent, and personally, I don't think there's any concern about the price/amount ratio. Enjoy!

My husband got the jerk chicken. His taste hadn't returned fully so he couldn't tell me if what he had was good or not lol. I however thoroughly enjoyed my oxtails. They were flavorful, tender, and the portion size was hefty. I ate off this plate for three days. I think the price point was average for Jamaican food. The rice and peas were good, but just a little greasy from the oxtail gravy. I also was hoping the rice would have a more coconutty flavor than it did. The Mac and cheese had a really good flavor, it was nice and cheesy and they had some kind of pepper in there. The greens were alright, about as good as you can expect for a restaurant, nothing like homemade though. I would definitely like to come back to try their jerk chicken and rum cake.
