Buyer beware!!! Save your money and time!!! DO NOT book this stylist‼She was not only almost 30 mins late to the appointment, charged me $250 for a child knotless braid and was unable to complete the hairstyle. She cut the hair while braiding and then had no hot water to seal the ends. The braids were unraveling by the time we got home. I asked Safi if she would be willing to discount the style since she was unable to complete and the braids would unravel and was told NO. She told me to go home and seal the ends myself...AFTER PAYING 250!!! We had traveled to San Jose and were staying in a hotel, hence the need for someone else to do my child's hair. I had no access to boiled water and at this price should not have to complete the style! It took her 7 hours to do a poor job. Our whole day was wasted and I have to get my daughter's hair rebraided. Not only that but after I sent a Zelle to pay for this horrid hairstyle, Safi came and stood in front of my car because her internet had not caught up to show the funds were paid. She is very unprofessional, not a skilled braider and she does not have the proper tools to do her job. Needless to say, we will NEVER BOOK SAFI AGAIN!!! read more

My sister brought my niece in from out of town, Dallas to be exact, and she wanted her to get knotless. All was well until the end when Safi or whatever her name is didn't have hot water to seal the ends and then she cut the braids and they statt to unravel. The lady spent a lot of time on my nieces hair and my sister was grateful and paid for the time but was very unhappy with the end result. It is customary to have hot water when doing knotless box braids. If there was no hot water then the style should not have been done. Now we have to figure out how to fix her hair. And the language barrier didn't help either read more

The BEST microbraider I have found on this coast, hands down! Okay "story time" lol: I'm from the south (moved here to SoCal for work) & I have found that what we consider microbraiding is not the same here! A couple things, 1. Safi is SO sweet!! For some reason I always get nervous before my hair gets braided but she reassured me I was in good hands and to just relax. We watched Hulu, it was great. 2. She GENUINELY cares about her clients. She wasn't texting, she wasn't eating, IF she took a phone call it was over wireless headphones. She. Never. Stops. Braiding. It's amazing! I feel like she really respects my time in the chair. 3. It felt like I was just hanging out with an old friend, we had great conversation, she offered me food and drink, I sat in a comfy chair. 4. Safi works extremely hard, she had a kind soul, and she cherished her business. Couldn't find anyone to do sinalese twists and the ones that did charged thru the roof. Found Safi thru yelp, called her VERY last minute, but she was nice and accommodating. When I arrived she was friendly and the time just flew by. Not taking away from Safi's ability I just want to make that clear while giving her as a professional, if you will, an honest review. Our first encounter was great she did my hair it was really nice once I tried to go back for a touch-up it was as if I was chasing her down normally as you can see on Yelp it shows the business hours I kept calling and calling and she wouldn't respond so I went by there one time everything seemed fine she said she would contact me to do my touch up 24 Hours had passed still nothing I contacted her back via text she said that she would get back to me a day later still nothing a day later I went by her place of business which happens to be her home on 52nd Avenue in Long Beach and she wasn't there as I was pulling out of her driveway as she came riding up on a bike with a major attitude, it was so out of character from what I had seen previously from her however still not professional. Yelp's site showed that she was open for business and so I stopped to check on the appointment time so I could coordinate with my work schedule. Safi told me that I shouldn't have popped up at her house (which is her place of business mind you, time was 11am). At that moment she lost a customer because her attitude was horrible so just to let you guys know if you do decide to use her not taking away from her ability but we all have schedules and we all have lives Maybe you can work with the attitudes and chase her around just to get your hair done but there's too many other people in Los Angeles who can do hair just as good and that's why I'm going to be going somewhere else. ***** I've already found someone new and it was only a matter of hours before I did that so good luck***** read more

In my search for a stylist, I had called 3 different shops looking for someone that could do the Senegalese twist. All shops could do them, but their interaction w/ me over the phone did not impress me at all; almost as if I were bothering them. I continued to search and ran across Safi's ad on Yelp.
