I had a great experience! The salon is very clean and tighty and has really good vibes. I hadn't gone to a salon for a haircut in very long time so I was wary but Janet really took care of me. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted and she did exactly that. My hair is long, thin, and had so many split ends but she managed to revive it. Prices are definitely reasonable as well, depending on the type of hair you have. She washed, conditioned, cut/styled, and blow dried my hair. Love coming here! I've lived next to this salon my whole life who knew it would be such a gem? Janet and her mom are not only kind but amazingly talented!! I've never in my life had highlights and she gave them to me, I feel like a new woman! So refreshing especially right after having a baby! This review is long overdue. I have been going to Janet at the Cherry Blossom for a couple of years now. My hair is coarse, wavy, frizzy and dry (I use a lot of heat products). Until I met Janet, I always had trouble finding someone who could work with my hair type. I always come in with a picture inspiration or something in mind and Janet does magic to my hair. I've always left happy with my new do. We have played around with so many colors and styles from ombre, balayage, to single color dye. Most recently I wanted the rose gold look and I was so happy with how it came out. Before I left that visit, she gave me tips on how to keep the color vibrant and products to use to prevent it from fading. Being that my hair is so wavy, frizzy and hard to manage I had her do the Brazilian blowout on one of my visits. It was a process, but It left my hair so silky smooth and I probably didn't use any heat products for over 6 months because I had no need to. If you have my hair type you probably know what I am talking about when it comes to having to style it every day in order to manage it, but this helped. I will definitely be doing a Brazilian Blowout again. The last part of my review is on wedding hair do. I got married last year and being that Janet knows how to work with my hair I decided she should be the one to do my wedding hair. I really wanted hair extensions for my wedding, so she helped me choose the right brand and hairpieces. I had a hair trial with her before the wedding to work on my inspiration of half up and half down with my hair extensions. The day of the wedding the style came out perfect and my hair-do stayed in place until I went to sleep that night. Needless to say Janet knows her stuff and I always look forward to my next hair appointment to play with some new styles and colors. read more

I came across The Cherry Blossom and Janet when I was looking for a stylist to do a color correction. My friend had just gone to Janet and I loved the way her color blended so well. I decided to book an appointment with Janet and she took me on a hair journey. My hair was damaged, dry and was in need of a serious color correction. I let Janet know that I'd eventually like to go lighter and blonder and she advised me that we had to work in stages. The first stage was correcting the mess of streaked bleached hair I had. I literally had two huge chunks of bleached hair at the back of my head. Janet took my busted hair and made it beautiful again. Fast forward several months and the next stage was to go a few shades lighter. Omg, I was amazed on how great my hair looked and felt. I was expecting it to be dry and frizzy once I went lighter, but no, my hair is still shiny, soft and moisturized. Janet told me how to care for my hair and what products to use. I can't wait for my next appointment where I go even lighter! Best of all, Janet gives an awesome blow out. My curls on the second day stayed! I love love love love love this hair shop! I love it soooooo much i am actually there every week! There is soooo much to talk about lets see: This shop is a family own business. It's a mother and daughter duo. They are both really good! I have had both of them actually do my hair! Her mom (Rosa) is known for washing hair but she has done my hair on many occasions and I love it... had no problems. The hair shop is extremely clean. She makes sure that once you get to the station that everything is ready! Her bathroom is also clean. :) (I have had to change there before to go to a function!) I will continue to go to this hair shop until the close down... I will move to bum f*ck Egypt and still come to this hair shop! I wouldn't want it any other way! A wonderful salon! Great stylist in every way: skilled at cuts, color, styles and is excellently attentive and really cares about giving the client exactly what he/she wants. My 2 year old is quite a wiggly one and she was able to give him an awesome cut in under 10 minutes. (I can't believe I didn't take pictures of it!) Janet was also the stylist for my wedding! She set my hair in a classically pretty updo which was easily shifted into a half-up-half-down-do for the reception. They're knowledgeable and had recommendations for my hair that is severely damaged after being bleached at a different salon. I have been going here since it opened and all I can say is this place is AMAZING and here's why: 1. Janet is the best stylist-Ever. She really listens to her clients and helps them bring their hair ideas into fruition. There is no other person or place I would go to color, cut, or style my hair. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that the stylist, Janet, has a B.S. in Biology! I think it's so neat to watch her create the color you request by squeezing tubes of color and stuff in a bowl and determining the color by its weight. When I watch her she looks like a Chemist making magic before your eyes. She is so accurate and pays so much attention to detail I absolutely love getting my hair done here. She explains hair color and what goes in to lightening, or darkening hair. She only wants the best for your hair and treats it with so much care.
