I have purchased many(dozens) of their African Mud Cloths and have been very happy with my purchases. The shipping is fast. read more

Extremely disappointed. The fragrance oils have almost no longevity -- they fade in under 30 minutes. On top of that, the return process is frustrating since you have to cover shipping both ways. This was a waste of money. I do not recommend this company at all Reply: Your reply does not address the real issue. The problem is not the 30-day return policy the problem is that the product is defective (no longevity at all). Customers should not have to pay return shipping for a faulty product. Charging shipping both ways for your own product issue is unfair and unacceptable. read more

When I tell you how excited I am to have received my package from Africa Imports today, words cannot express. Not only did the package arrive earlier than I thought, they had everything accounted for with their contact information, and instructions on how to return if necessary. It was so carefully and professionally put together, I was certain someone from the motherland must have packed it! Then on top of that the bottles themselves were very professionally labeled and easy to read. This presentation was everything you would hope to receive plus more. But that isn't even the best part. The smell made me do a happy dance for sure, when I opened the first bottle I was pleasantly taken by surprise at the soft and subtle smell of the fragrance. I continued to open each one (20 total) and I promise you each one just got better and better. The price for all that I receive was better than anything you can buy in the store and so much more. They did not disappoint at all in any way. I am over the top excited and so glad I came across this place. It will definitely be my go to from now on. You guys a the best read more

Everything I ordered, a pretty sizable order too, was to my satisfaction. Timely delivery and great products.. I will be ordering again.

Africa Imports is a good place to buy a dress. I bought a dress and it was beautiful. It also arrived quickly. I had seen the same dress at another web site, but that place ran out of the dress. I was thrilled that African Imports still had them in stock. I just wore the dress to a birthday party and the color coordinated well with the theme. The shipping cost seems a little high compared to what I have bought at other places, but the entire experience was smooth. read more

I love the oils that African Imports sells, they have a lasting fragrance, but lately I noticed some of them don't have the same scent as they used to, not sure if they're made differently now. The Balenciaga, Dior Savauge, Versace Bright Crystal, all smell different and the color isn't the same. read more

I love Africa Imports. Products I order is always A1 with quality and fast shipping!!!

3 years later and I still love Africa Imports! I never have any issues. I love the product and the prices are fair. I shared some more pictures of some of my favorite products. I also love the essential oils and fragrance oils. I no long need to spend an average of $65 on a bottle cologne because I now use the scented oils here ! I am so happy I tried them! read more

I placed an order online. Because I am in search of a new wholesaler for my oils and fragrances, I didn't wish to place a large order just yet. They have pricing for both wholesale as well as retail. They are reasonably priced and have a huge assortment of scents and other products. Because I placed a small retail order, upon checkout I was prompted to call customer service to complete my order. The service I received was prompt and polite and I was able to complete checkout with no issues. I will definitely order from them again. read more

Horrible customer service. Don't expect Matthew to be much help he is very arrogant and doesn't care about customers trying to spend hard earned money . Super short when replying and has a attitude definitely can't be black owned like there trying to imply . read more

Have been ordering Dudu Black Soap from this company for a while now in bulk for my family's personal usage. New order I received this May, we are just getting a chance to utilize bc we order a head before running out. IT SMELLS LIKE DUDU/FECES Literally and I have informed the company. You would think they would want a sample to check for themselves but instead I received a message stating "The ingredients have been tweaked" and they cannot receive the product back since it has been over 30 days. I'm sending this product straight to the lab to be tested. Something ain't right with this company nor their ethics. And I have children with sensitive skin thus the reason we switched to black soap years ago. DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Run... read more

I have a wholesale account with this company. They sent me an email stating that I would receive a free Black History T-shirt with any wholesale order. I placed my order ($114.00) before 1/31/2021 as stated in the email and used the code for the free T-shirt. When I opened the box. There was NO free T-shirt. They put in a VERY CHEAP looking key chain that appears as if it came out of the bubble gum machine. This is the third time that I have never received what was being advertised. The only reason that I ordered when I did was to get that shirt. This company is deceitful. Already filed BBB complaint. The next step is to the holder of my bank card. This will be the last time I order from them again. read more

Nothing bad to say about this business. The shipment was quick and the follow up was great. They do send QUITE a bit of follow up, but that's just great marketing. Definitely would order again from this business read more

Very pleased with lovely items received. Packed beautifully and high quality. Thank you, African Imports.

I am kind of new to this online store . So far , everything have been good . Life happens and I don't expect things to be perfect . Every time I order , i get what I ordered , for the exception of one time . I have not received my second order of SuperGro hair gel , but I can't remember if I ordered it a second time . I do love that hair gel . Everything else was fine . Where I live , I couldn't find too much of anything for my hair type (mixed with Egyptian) . That gel is wonderful , even while wearing braids . You all got me . I will be ordering again . Much love to you all . Keep up the good work . God bless you all . read more

I just wanted to place this review to share my opinon of my purchase of oils I just received. The delivery was quick and the products were wrapped very securely. However I wasnt impressed with the quality of the oils. They were very lightly scented not at all the strength I'm used to wearing and very thin in consistency. I am experienced in wearing oils for over 20 years and I will not be returning for future oil purchases. read more

I was looking for some body oils online because most places are not currently open, so I came across Africa Imports. I always read reviews before purchasing anything. So, after reading a few reviews and looking at the expanse of oils, soaps and other beuty and care products that I was very interested in, I decided to place a small order to get started. I ordered on a Wednesday and I received my order Saturday from their location in Jersey to Richmond, VA. My products were wrapped and were properly shipped with care. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

This company should not received ANY STAR. I ordered 2 hand fans, those came in scrams and bend in a small bag ( shipping $10 what a joke ) I was so excited to open up because it must be nice because 100 percent handmade from Africa, but i so upset when the truth coming out one of them already damage. Don't do business with AI, not worth it. Their stuffs my opinion a garbage from Africa ship to New Jersey because Africa land field all full. This company selling scraped products, they must be is ghetto and try to blind people with a label " feed people in Africa ". Don't let them cheating you with those pictures on their website. read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with an online purchase. I will never use this company again. Here is what happened Wayne Kiltz africa@africaimports.com To: customwallace@yahoo.com Nov 9 at 2:29 PM Dear Camille, I am writing just to make sure that everything was ok with your order from us; and that you are completely satisfied with what was sent. Although I would imagine that everything was ok, I just want to follow up to be 100% sure. I really appreciate your business; and want to make sure that you are happy with anything that you buy from us. If there is anything that you want to talk more about, you can either email me (just reply to this email); or call toll free at 800-500-6120. Wayne Kiltz Africa Imports Nov 9 at 4:06 PM Wayne I STILL have not received my oil. At this point I want a Full refund. I shipped and Africa Imports received the return in October 25th. When I called last week and spoke to Judy she informed me that the order was sent out on October 26th and delivered on the 29th. When I informed her that I had not received the order she acted as if I was not being truthful. I double checked the email I had received and they sent it to the wrong address. I called Judy back and informed her of Africa Imports mistake. Today is November 9th. I still don't have my order. I want a refund. Nov 10 at 9:00 AM Camille, I am sorry for the problem. The replacement order was shipped, and US Postal tracking shows that it was delivered last Monday. The tracking information for this is shown below. If you have not received this yet, we can start a tracer on this with the post office. We can plan to do this. The first thing that they will ask for is that you double check the mailbox to verify that it is not there. If you let me know once you have checked this again, we can begin the tracer process with the post office. Thanks, Wayne I DO NOT live in Greensboro! As I stated. Judy sent it to the incorrect address. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING!! You can trace the package if you want. My address is*****Where I received the original incorrect oil. Where I sent the oil back to you from. I do not know why Africa Imports sent the oil to Greensboro. I don't live there. I want my refund. Nov 11 at 4:06 PM I checked our records differently. You are correct that this was sent to an old address that we had on file for you. We had filed a package tracer with the post office for this. This was just done on Thursday. Hopefully we will have information on this soon, but the post office typically takes a week or so to go through this process. We will be in touch as soon as we hear anything more. Wayne Nov 11 at 4:46 PM I guess I'm not being clear. I will contact my bank and dispute this charge. I have requested three times that my money be refunded. Nov 12 at 7:55 AM I am not wanting to leave you with a problem. We are trying to take care of things. The post office just needs some extra time to find the package and get it to you. Hopefully this will all be resolved in the next few days sometime. Wayne Nov 12 at 1:39 PM Wayne. Let me make this as clear as possible. I place my order on October 9th. You received payment in the amount of 42.30 on the same day. The incorrect oil arrived on or about the 16th of October. I spoke to customer service and sent the oil back to Africa Imports. Africa Imports received the oil on October 25th. Africa imports then shipped the correct oil to the wrong address. I contacted Africa Imports on November 9th to find out what happened to my order. Today is November 12th. I have already given this company a chance to correct your mistake. It has been one month and 3 days since you received payment. I no longer WANT THE OIL. I want my money back. Is this clear? I understand that YOU are trying to track down YOUR merchandise. That's has NOTHING to do with me. Your employee Judy is responsible for sending the merchandise to the incorrect address. Again. I should not have to wait for a refund. What exactly is the issue here? For the last time. I WANT MY MONEY AND NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY. I am reporting your business to the BBB. I have disputed this charge with my bank and if you force my hand I will get my lawyer involved. Is this clear enough for you? read more

I bought 28 dashikis for a group performance and they all came in perfect condition and on the expected arrival date. They were all one size fits all. I am in LOVE. They're pretty big but I think it looks great. I would recommend this business! When I called someone was available to answer all my questions and concerns and when I emailed someone responded right away. Buying 28 shirts is pretty nerve wrecking and I was very hesitant to trust any website but I took a leap of faith and it turned out amazing. I also got a coupon for my next order :) ps I'm 5'3 and size extra small and it looks good! read more

Africa Imports is one of my favorite wholesalers. The quality of the clothing is exceptional and my customers are always 100% satisfied. Many of the personal care products are made with all natural ingredients. Most of all, I love the fact that they supply jobs to the citizens of Africa and donate a percentage of every purchase to feed the orphans in Africa. We need more Companies who give back to people in need. read more

First time ordering. Don't let the cheap price fool you. The saying is true, " you get what you pay for." Products are poorly made. I threw all products away except the Musk Oil which does not have strong fragrance. I was told an item was not in stock, I did not receive the item, nor was my money refunded. $130.00 down the drain. read more

Africa Imports IS A SCAM!!!! I ordered a birthday gift for a friend on 03/09/2017. Per their shipping policy: "Items purchased from our online store can be shipped by UPS, FedEx, or by the U.S. Postal Service. Average delivery for orders is 10-14 business days. Please allow extra time during holidays. However, if you need faster delivery, we do offer express shipping" I had to call several times to ask when will my item be delivered. The owner sent an email on 03/17/17 stating that he took it upon himself to Cancel my order and that I would be Refunded. It was a Birthday Gift! I did not want to be refunded, I Expected the item I ordered and paid for within the allotted time of delivery per Africa Imports Delivery Promise. Now it has been over (3) months, I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED NOR DID I RECEIVE THE ITEM I PAID FOR. AFIRCA IMPORTS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have been dealing with Africa Imports for over 8 years and I have to say they promise what they deliver. I do not have any interest in their clothing but I order their products for myself and customers that I sell them to at local fairs. I have no complaints from any of my customers but only praise. I love the all natural soaps, oils, lotions and butters. The customer service is fantastic and I always get an email from the owner asking if everything is OK with my order. I have had problems with some of the orders (wrong product or product missing) but they have always refunded me right away for any mishap on their part or have sent me the original invoice that have indicated that I made the mistake. I love this company and will continue to sing their praises about their products and customer service. I have even recruited some of my friends as wholesalers for the company! read more

This review is for the online store and the owner. One of the worst online companies that I've ever had to deal with. As someone whose first job was in the retail business, I was shocked and appalled by the owner's (Wayne's) generally discourteous attitude and utter absence of any customer service skills whatsoever! The product that I ordered [online] was supposed to be brand new, but what I received was a torn, stain, and heavily frayed garment. When I contacted customer service, they replied that I would not be refunded for the shipping of the item. I then asked to speak with the owner, and he relayed the same information. I explained to him that the garment was in less than satisfactory condition, and that, had I known that the garment would be this terrible, I never would have purchased it in the first place. He then became extremely defensive, and retorted, " What do you want? I don't care! It seems as though the item isn't for you." He completely refused to acknowledge the fact that there had been a mistake, and failed to apologize for it. He also refused to take responsibility (It is HIS store, after all.). More than this being an issue of a "business owner" without having the skills to handle customers in a diligent and polite manner, I feel like this man may have some psychological issues (i.e., mental and emotional maturation) of his own... I will be sending the item back with a note explaining that I would like to be refunded the entire amount including shipping charges (to and from). I'm interested to see how the refund is handled, but I've also contacted BBB and filed a complaint against this business. read more

I ordered African masks from their catalog. The mask they sent out were completely different than the mask that were in the catalog. The manager, Brenna P., said I could return the products for a refund. She said they do not cover the cost to send items back. She acknowledged that the mask that were sent out were completely different than the mask that were in the catalog, but said since the mask were imported from Africa they didn't have any control over it. She said I can send the items back and they will only give me a refund for the products I ordered, but would not cover the cost to mail the items back. Due to their mistake; I took a loss and had to pay $6.45 to mail the masks back to them. read more

This is my second time ordering mud cloth from African imports, the first time I bought over a X Dollars worth of the fabric then recently I got about 23 pieces worth about $XXX in mud cloth fabric of which two large ones were the black and white mud cloth, and 8 small pieces of the black and white. I specified patterns to be more condensed and the customer service manger did confirm that she had it handled after I sent her pictures. Upon receipt of the order of the 23 pieces of mud cloth one of the large black and whites is a grey and white and not black and white. It is noticeably different from all the mud cloth pieces I have ever bought from them. the rest of the black and white pieces had spaced patterns exactly the opposite of what I wanted. I did not care what patterns they sent I had wanted just closely placed patterns but got the opposite. Upon requesting a resolution kindly the pre order very helpful customer service manager is not responding to my emails. Instead they sent me a link to review the product????? Really is this how to retain your customers? To say I am disappointed is an understatement!! read more
