Extremely disappointed. The fragrance oils have almost no longevity -- they fade in under 30 minutes. On top of that, the return process is frustrating since you have to cover shipping both ways. This was a waste of money. I do not recommend this company at all Reply: Your reply does not address the real issue. The problem is not the 30-day return policy the problem is that the product is defective (no longevity at all). Customers should not have to pay return shipping for a faulty product. When I tell you how excited I am to have received my package from Africa Imports today, words cannot express. Not only did the package arrive earlier than I thought, they had everything accounted for with their contact information, and instructions on how to return if necessary. It was so carefully and professionally put together, I was certain someone from the motherland must have packed it! Then on top of that the bottles themselves were very professionally labeled and easy to read. This presentation was everything you would hope to receive plus more. But that isn't even the best part. The smell made me do a happy dance for sure, when I opened the first bottle I was pleasantly taken by surprise at the soft and subtle smell of the fragrance. Have been ordering Dudu Black Soap from this company for a while now in bulk for my family's personal usage. New order I received this May, we are just getting a chance to utilize bc we order a head before running out. IT SMELLS LIKE DUDU/FECES Literally and I have informed the company. I have a wholesale account with this company. They sent me an email stating that I would receive a free Black History T-shirt with any wholesale order. I placed my order ($114.00) before 1/31/2021 as stated in the email and used the code for the free T-shirt. When I opened the box. There was NO free T-shirt. They put in a VERY CHEAP looking key chain that appears as if it came out of the bubble gum machine. This is the third time that I have never received what was being advertised. However I wasnt impressed with the quality of the oils. They were very lightly scented not at all the strength I'm used to wearing and very thin in consistency. I bought 28 dashikis for a group performance and they all came in perfect condition and on the expected arrival date. They were all one size fits all. I am in LOVE. They're pretty big but I think it looks great. I would recommend this business! When I called someone was available to answer all my questions and concerns and when I emailed someone responded right away. Buying 28 shirts is pretty nerve wrecking and I was very hesitant to trust any website but I took a leap of faith and it turned out amazing. Per their shipping policy: "Items purchased from our online store can be shipped by UPS, FedEx, or by the U.S. Postal Service. Average delivery for orders is 10-14 business days. Please allow extra time during holidays. However, if you need faster delivery, we do offer express shipping" I had to call several times to ask when will my item be delivered. The owner sent an email on 03/17/17 stating that he took it upon himself to Cancel my order and that I would be Refunded. It was a Birthday Gift! I did not want to be refunded, I Expected the item I ordered and paid for within the allotted time of delivery per Africa Imports Delivery Promise. I have been dealing with Africa Imports for over 8 years and I have to say they promise what they deliver. I do not have any interest in their clothing but I order their products for myself and customers that I sell them to at local fairs. I have no complaints from any of my customers but only praise. I love the all natural soaps, oils, lotions and butters. The customer service is fantastic and I always get an email from the owner asking if everything is OK with my order. I have had problems with some of the orders (wrong product or product missing) but they have always refunded me right away for any mishap on their part or have sent me the original invoice that have indicated that I made the mistake. I love this company and will continue to sing their praises about their products and customer service. I have even recruited some of my friends as wholesalers for the company! read more

This review is for the online store and the owner. One of the worst online companies that I've ever had to deal with. As someone whose first job was in the retail business, I was shocked and appalled by the owner's (Wayne's) generally discourteous attitude and utter absence of any customer service skills whatsoever! The product that I ordered [online] was supposed to be brand new, but what I received was a torn, stain, and heavily frayed garment. When I contacted customer service, they replied that I would not be refunded for the shipping of the item. I then asked to speak with the owner, and he relayed the same information. I explained to him that the garment was in less than satisfactory condition, and that, had I known that the garment would be this terrible, I never would have purchased it in the first place. He then became extremely defensive, and retorted, " What do you want? I don't care! It seems as though the item isn't for you." He completely refused to acknowledge the fact that there had been a mistake, and failed to apologize for it. He also refused to take responsibility (It is HIS store, after all.). More than this being an issue of a "business owner" without having the skills to handle customers in a diligent and polite manner, I feel like this man may have some psychological issues (i.e., mental and emotional maturation) of his own... I will be sending the item back with a note explaining that I would like to be refunded the entire amount including shipping charges (to and from). I'm interested to see how the refund is handled, but I've also contacted BBB and filed a complaint against this business. read more

I ordered African masks from their catalog. The mask they sent out were completely different than the mask that were in the catalog. The manager, Brenna P., said I could return the products for a refund. She said they do not cover the cost to send items back. She acknowledged that the mask that were sent out were completely different than the mask that were in the catalog, but said since the mask were imported from Africa they didn't have any control over it. She said I can send the items back and they will only give me a refund for the products I ordered, but would not cover the cost to mail the items back. This is my second time ordering mud cloth from African imports, the first time I bought over a X Dollars worth of the fabric then recently I got about 23 pieces worth about $XXX in mud cloth fabric of which two large ones were the black and white mud cloth, and 8 small pieces of the black and white. I specified patterns to be more condensed and the customer service manger did confirm that she had it handled after I sent her pictures. Upon receipt of the order of the 23 pieces of mud cloth one of the large black and whites is a grey and white and not black and white. It is noticeably different from all the mud cloth pieces I have ever bought from them. the rest of the black and white pieces had spaced patterns exactly the opposite of what I wanted. I did not care what patterns they sent I had wanted just closely placed patterns but got the opposite. Upon requesting a resolution kindly the pre order very helpful customer service manager is not responding to my emails. Instead they sent me a link to review the product????? Really is this how to retain your customers? To say I am disappointed is an understatement!! read more
