If I could give half a star, I would. Needed to get a gooseneck hitch installed in my husband's truck for our new (new to us) camper. Made an appointment two weeks ago TWO WEEKS, ordered the parts, called to confirm Friday and hippy Skippy it gonna happen! 8am this morning we drop the truck off at the trailer shop, all is fine and dandy, said "yes sir Mr. K! Should be a 2hr 2 1/2 hr job at the most. Call ya when she's ready!" Alright alright! 1:45pm rolls around and still no phone call... Husband calls "hey there, Just checking on the status of my hitch."........." uuuuh...Sorry sir but we haven't gotten to it yet..." SAY WHAT!? "Well, we didn't think you would have the right parts so we sent both or techs to grand junction today" Dave explains to them this is unacceptable, and he needed this done TODAY. The guy on the other end got pissy and said that that wasn't HIS problem UH, YES THE F*** IT IS, SCOOTER!! Fast forward to 415pm and we drove down there, The truck has not moved from the spot he parked it at 8am!! He lost his ever lovin' mind!! BUT WAIT..THERE'S MORE! Pretty much told them that their company was as useless as tits on a goldfish, the manager said she'd keep the two techs that apparently have to hold hands and not get appointments done, and finish it tonight. Suuuure. As I'm turning off the highway...the call... "Uh sir, you still have the rails on from your other hitch and...well, the thing is...we just don't feel comfortable doing the job...so, guess you can come back and get your truck tonight. Rude service every time, wont take responsibility for their mistakes. Certainly no way to treat customers who a paying hundreds of dollars to you. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Not only did they not order the part which we drove 150 miles for, nobody cared or ever apologized for the inconvenience. Christine made things worse by never admitting fault, she ordered the part and I had it sent to Utah since that's where I was headed and asked her to expedite the part. She never did and I ended up having no way to get my bike rack installed to get back to Colorado with my kids bikes since the hitch took almost a week to get. I spent hundreds of dollars more on hotels. I had to drive back to Colorado without my rack and hitch I am driving back to Utah just to get the hitch that they never ordered the first time and never expedited the second time. The amount of time, money and stress this has caused has been awful. When I called her she told me,"It is not my fault or my problem and I don't care." She then hung up on me. My husband drove another 150 miles to speak directly to her and was given the same awful attitude and again told, "Its not my problem." Please don't spend time and money on this place. It's not worth it when you're treated so poorly. read more

I used Affordable Trailers for several years for repair on a number of trailers. More recently, they changed locations and hired some new employees. When I bought a catalytic heater for my Casita trailer, I took it to them for installation. When the heater they had installed fell off the wall, I returned to "Affordable" to have it re-installed. I parked the trailer for the off-season and when summer came along, the heater fell off the wall again on my first camping trip. I took the trailer back to "Affordable". They charged me for the re-installation claiming that it had been too long since the previous job to guarantee their work. When the heater fell off the wall a third time on the very next trip, I asked them to stand behind their work and re-install the heater at no charge. They refused to work on the trailer any further and denied me a refund after I had paid several hundred dollars over three attempted applications. I took the trailer to Big Jim's Outback in Delta and received excellent service, paying $235 for a durable mounting of the heater. I called Katie, manager of "Affordable" and asked if she would like to compensate me for Big Jim's work and she declined. Buyer beware! "Affordable" Trailers does not guarantee their work! I will not be taking any more work to "Affordable" and will warn my friends against their poor service. read more

These guys bailed me out 2 times in the matter of a week. I was moving and had purchased a trailer second hand. I went in to buy a spare tire rim. (Planned on buying some used tires at Maines) When the manager heard I was buying a rim, he asked if I needed a tire, I told him "No, I am getting some new ones down the street." He then told me that he had a government trailer in the bay that was having new tires installed as part of its scheduled maintenance, but it didn't need tires. Sold me the rim, installed the 4 tires on my trailer and moved one of mine to the rim for a spare- $200. A few days later I was about to head out for my move when I realized the the ball on the U-haul was a different size than the one on my trailer, and the ball was welded on. I called AT and told them the situation, and they got me in, removed the hitch from my trailer and welded on a new one that was the right size for the ball- all in less than an hour, even though they were about to close. Fantastic. A year later my wife went through town and had lost a piece off of her camper. I told her to go to AT, she did, and sure enough, they had the part at a great price. read more
