Transwest RV of Fountain - Glass in cab of truck

If you don't expect much you will not be disappointed, you shouldn't have to be subjected to…read moreretaliation for reporting improper or unethical business practices, but that is exactly what is happening to me at this very moment. I actually bought my RV from Transwest in Fountain Colorado but have received nothing but hassle trying to get the coach serviced there. I had to call the manufacturer to get help and now we're being treated unfairly because Transwest was reprimanded for not responding to their contractual obligations. Unbelievable the level of unprofessional behavior from a company this size. I will be elevating the actions and treatment of customers up the management ranks of this company, however I feel the problem is probably systemic and part of the culture at Transwest. 09/08/20 I would like to up date my original review of Transwest as noted above. I was contacted by senior management from the company today and it appears the issues has more to do with a lack of training and or a misunderstanding of the policy and procedures related to the Tiffin "Powerglide' chassis. I very much appreciated the conversation and positive actions taken by Transwest to prevent future problems.

The one who could find it in a catalog said it would take 4-5 days to get it. I drove down to Transwest and not only did the service representative immediately know what my part was but they had it in stock. On top of that she gave me a nice discount since I had to drive so far. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

I've purchased several RVs over the years. Most were positive experiences. My experience with Pikes…read morePeak was not. Pre-purchase pricing negotiations didn't go well for me. They held their ground and knew that they had the upper hand since they had the model I was looking for, and I could not find one locally. I get that. I'm from MN and they are in CO. Buying sight unseen was difficult and stressful. I asked for a walk around video and never got one, only pictures. I wanted to have the truck camper delivered since we had an elderly dog that could not make the trip. Delivery was expensive. We agreed on a price and somehow that price went up during final invoice time. I was told the camper would be delivered on Wednesday March 11. I got a call Tuesday March 10 and was told the camper was going to arrive "early afternoon that day". I took the afternoon off work to be home when it arrived. Later that morning I was given an updated ETA of 7:30PM. Shortly after 9PM, no camper and no word from them so I reached out. I was told that the driver was "in northern Iowa and would be there in 45 minutes". I waited 1 hour and nothing, so I called again. I was told that they were a half hour away, another lie. It was almost 11PM when they finally arrived. I took delivery of a $40K camper at 11PM at night in the dark of Winter. I paid a premium price for the deliver "service".... After the next morning inspection, all looked good. I did notice that one of the dust caps was missing on one of the four electric jacks. Not a big deal, but I'm an engineer and the manufacturer of the electric jacks supplies them with dust caps for a reason. So, I went on the manufacturers web site to order a replacement. The price of one of the little dust caps was $25 including shipping. I thought before I ordered one, I will ask Pikes Peak if they have a spare. I reached out to them about the single missing cap and was told "all of our Adventurer campers on site don't have any caps, but I do have a spare set that I can send you". I thought that was an odd thing to say. So, I checked the pictures on their web site of other Adventurer campers on the lot and, sure enough, all the pictures showed the dust caps in place on the jacks. That was just weird. Two weeks later, no dust caps arrived so I reached out and was told that they were sent standard mail. No tracking and never arrived. That was weird, too. I was told that they would send another set. I'm not going to hold my breath for those to arrive.... All in all, there were a few other odd stories I could add but you get the picture. I cannot recommend this dealership and won't be going back to them in the future.

I bought a new NOBO 20.3 and could not be happier with the experience. From sales, to tech, to the front counter, the entire staff was accommodating and respectful of my time. I highly recommend Pikes Peak RV over any dealer that wants to sell you something off their lot. IT WAS WORTH BUYING OUT OF STATE AND DELIVERING TO OUR DRIVEWAY.

This time we looked at actual reviews of RV dealers and saw very good reviews of Windish RV and decided to give them a look. The first person we met was Josh in sales. He walked up and was very nice. Didn't pressure us into anything or hang around. He simply said if we need anything opened or had any questions to just flag him down. We walked around a while and found something we were interested in. I flagged him down and he drove right over. After talking to him, he was just the nicest salesman so we asked him about the trailer we were looking at, he explained everything. I said "let's go inside and talk." We did the "haggling part" I hate this part, mainly because of my experience at Camping World. I just left him with what I was comfortable with I thanked him ever so much for his time and we left. I got a call from Aaron a few days later asking if I was still interested and if I'd be willing to let them carry the financing.I said yes and sure. We went back this Saturday and finalized all the paperwork with Angela and the trailer is ours. I can't say enough positive things about everyone we worked with. Josh, Aaron and Angela. Didn't make us wait around, they were super accommodating. It renewed my feeling about all this. Thank you Windish and everyone who helped us.

Saying we're good for our appointment and then while we were sitting there, they're up front BS'ing with their buddies and not even being on time. I talked to the group of people sitting in their elevated platform office, asking for some help closing a DONE DEAL and they asked if I would give them a shot at earning my financing to "save me some money" I said OK but let's make it quick. We sat there for another hour and a half and I was finished. I told them I wanted my down payment back and I walked away from the deal. I have never wanted to express my anger more and been held back by my wife. They asked for consideration and they spit in my face. They deserve NONE of your business!! Spend your money somewhere else!! (One last thing, the trailer they were going to sell me had an undisclosed crack in the front windshield. That's a $2000 repair that would've been mine if my wife didn't see it before we walked out.) NEVER CAMPING WORLD AGAIN!!!! Not even if my life depends on it. I'd welcome the dirt nap! I actually think I'd rather have a dog fart in my face then deal with them again. P.S. WTF can't I leave zero stars or negative stars? ‍‍‍
