In a time when Customer Service seems to be a lost art, it is so very refreshing to work with a company and individuals that not only exude professionalism but true empathy for customer needs. Trailer Source, Colorado Springs did what they said and even went beyond. If I could I would give them more than 5 stars. When on vacation this fall the slide on my Winnebago Micro Minnie would not work. Even though I live in Colorado, I had purchased the trailer out of State last November but now needed a local place to get the slide fixed before an upcoming trip. Winnebago gave me Trailer Source, in Colorado Springs, as one of their warranty repair centers. Because I did not purchase the trailer from Trailer Source , I had very low expectations of getting my trailer fixed on time. My past experience, with other RV companies, was that they would get to you at their own leisure and if you didn't buy your trailer from them you ended up at the end of their priority list. Boy was I wrong! Trailer Source diagnosed my problem immediately and sent the parts requirements to Winnebago for procurement. They also kept me apprised of their status and assured me that as soon as the parts were received, they would expedite installation. They did exactly what they promised. I had informed them that I needed the trailer by October 25th. Trailer Source received the parts late on 10/18, installed the parts and even installed additional brackets to help reinforce the area. They even addressed a recall issue for me. The trailer was completed and ready for pickup by October 20th. Their service was excellent! read more

I purchased my Zinger trailer from Trailer Source on Sinton Rd, last year. I have been bringing it back in for some warranty work. Trailer Source has been wonderful to work me in several times around my camping schedule to get different repairs done. Just got it back today after Derek (tech) did a fantastic job replacing an entire ceiling panel to get rid of a bubble on the ceiling. He had to take down a cabinet, remove the refrigerator and sofa to get the new panel back up. WHAT A JOB!! Ceiling is beautiful with NO bubble. The service dept at Trailer Source is fantastic. I recently bought an RV had an overall great experience. Unfortunately the RV had some issues from the factory so it was back in the service department within the week of purchase but after some troubleshooting they were able to get it fixed. If I could give them a zero, I would. Once I took possession of the camper, customer service became non-existent. I took it in for some warranty work shortly after our first trip. When I dropped it off, I was told it would take about 2 weeks to get a response from Forest River. They have now had my camper for 3 1/2 months. During that time, I did not receive one phone call for an update without me calling first. When I complained about the timeframe at the two month mark I was told, "two months is nothing. I've see it take 4 months to get stuff fixed." Since they did not winterize the camper, they now have to replace a faucet that was damaged in a freeze, causing more delays. I don't know who to me more angry with, The Trailer Source or Forest River. DO NOT PATRONIZE EITHER!!!!! read more

My wife and I were on our way heading to Oregon from San Antonio, Our Anderson hitch malfunctioned, after calling around several RV dealership and other companies , Trailer Source was recommended, I spoke with Dion in service and Ten minutes later we arrived, he came out, saw our problem, it really was an fairly simple fix, but he is the service manager and took his time to fix our problem!! We dropped in for help with our break controller for our camper and Steven was beyond helpful and went out of his way to help and figure out what the malfunction was. Overall this has been the worst dealership, vehicle or RV That I have ever dealt with. Simple repairs have took 4 months to complete. When I insisted they reimburse payments I made for the months without a trailer they have gone radio silent. From the GM to the Service Manager, they have been unwilling to help or make this right. I have to say, I have never experienced better customer service anywhere in the automotive business. The guys at trailer source have been great to deal with every step of the way. Bought a brand new trailer (forest River surveyor ) financing was a breeze, they were very helpful and patient as my wife and I were looking for the perfect floor plan for us. Once the deal was made they had it delivered to my front door in Denver within 2 days. Fast forward 3 months later we brought it in for de- winterization and last minute asked them to install our weight distribution hitch that I half installed on my own. Not only did they accommodate my request but they stopped me from spending 300$ on an extra service I requested that I didn't need . AND since we live in it full time and we're staying in a hotel during the service they took less than 24 hours to get it done! We were so grateful for that. How can I start!? Lets start by saying DONT GO HERE!! Pikes Peak Travel land is a Winnebago dealer now. I can't believe the way that Trailer Source operates. The whole time my camper was under warranty (brand new by the way) Trailer Source convinced me that my electrical problem was "operator error". I tried so many different ways to do things and then when I finally figured out the problem, TS says it's not under warranty anymore. Thanks for the worst customer service ever from the most incompetent service department ever. Nothing like getting stuck with a $30k lemon and their team of professionals turn their back on the customers. Shame on you Trailer Source! Had camper serviced this week and noticed many of the staff who worked here are gone and new ones to replace them. Service Department staff short and price to repair camper was a lot more than originally quoted and camper was not ready when I went to pick it up, but told the individual who did the quote has been let go. Unfortunately, all these changes has effected this RV Center and I am hopeful that things will start to get better and the staff who is being hired will stay around awhile. Rachelle, who sold us our camper left a month ago and she was a wonderful person to work with. Rick and Dan in the Service Department are doing the best they can, but need good honest and dependable people. Service Technicians are being swamped and I do not believe they have enough to handle the workload. Hope this RV center can become a 5 star business again, but for now I have to rate it a 3. read more

I purchased a cruiser rv in 2017 and when I brought it back for two or three repairs to be made I was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks to do these minor repairs which were mostly cosmetic I should have been told this at time the time of sale. I still haven't been able to get the repairs done because of time constraints. I purchased the extended warranty plan because the sales person said that it would cover the things that needed to be done well not at all true. Then when I finally got the opportunity to try the cables for the tv and satellite they didn't work again not covered. Very dissatisfied with Camper and company. read more

Bad communication, Over charged, Contacted the incorrect Ins. company, When I inspected my RV, they did crappy work and put cheap products on my RV. I had to get the GM involved to get these repairs done correctly. When I went back to inspect and pickup, they left 3" of snow on the vehicle so I couldn't look things over. They were to reimburse me for over charge and now I have had to contact their Denver office to send a check. It is my hope these guys will service their customer better in the future. This business is crumbling and we as customers don't deserve this type of service!!! I wish I could give a 0 rating! read more

I am giving General Manager Shawn Nyberg at the family-owned Trailer Source dealership in Colorado Springs the thumbs up and the staff five stars! My wife and I stopped at Trailer Source on Sinton Rd to walk through the store and speak with staff about RV recliners. We were met by friendly and helpful staff. While there, my wife mentioned that we purchased our RV from a Trailer Source dealership in another city. The sales representative said we would receive a $200 store credit, but we left the dealership without documentation of having a store credit. When I left word for the sales representative reminding him that we were to get a $200 store credit, he did not get back to me. At hearing this, the staff member asked Shawn to speak with my wife and I. When Shawn heard that we did not receive the store credit as promised, he informed me that he would reach out to the dealership where we had bought the RV. If he could not arrange for us to get the credit from the dealership where we bought the RV, then he would give us a $100 store credit from his store. When I questioned Shawn further, I learned that his Trailer Source dealership is a family-owned business. I give kudos to Shawn because although we purchased the RV from a different dealership, and the sales representative at that dealership did not follow through with making certain we received a store credit, Shawn was willing to give us a $100 store credit from his dealership. As it turned out, a member of the management staff at the dealership where we bought the RV informed Shawn that he would reimburse his dealership the full $200 if he would give us the credit that we had been promised. Took my new camper in for minor repairs (loose board, torn seals, gaps between shower and wall, and loose item on underside) in October. Was told it would take up to 3 weeks. Called in November to ask the status and was told they were waiting for warranty approval from Forest River. I asked if they could contact Forest River to see what the hold-up was. Was told no by Mark, and that I could call them myself. I called Forest River and they indicated they'd already approved the repairs - only denied Trailer Source's outlandish claim on how long it would take to finish the repairs. I called Mark back and told him what Forest River told me. He changed his excuse and said they never sent the parts. I asked, again, if they could call the warranty folks to find the hold-up, and he said no again - that I could call them myself. I told him it wasn't the customer's job to act as liaison. I spoke to the service manager, and he said he'd make sure to look into it. I never heard back, so I called Forest River last week, first, to get their story. Tara told me they'd sent all the parts to Trailer Source in December. I called Mark two days ago to ask the status, and he said it was ready - that it only needed QC. He said he would call me the next day - he never did. I called back today and Mark answered. He said he'd look into it and get back on the phone with me in a second. Then Joe got on to tell me they were still waiting for the parts. I told him Forest River said otherwise, and he came up with a new excuse about them having changed systems. He said he would call me later today to let me know the status, and I said I would take the camper elsewhere if they didn't get their stuff together. Guess who didn't call. Don't take your campers to this place - all you'll get are excuses and poor attitudes. read more

Well to start with I have owned 5 R V's and the last two were purchased in Colorado Springs @ Trailer Source. I don't typically have any issues to complain about because I own a large commercial building company in Colorado and am pretty handy with taking care of minor issues that come up. Last year I brought my Fifth Wheel in for a routine maintenance, check the slides , the axles, water system. Just to make sure I keep up on the maintenance per our agreement with the extended warranty we purchased via Trailer Source. I was told by the service department that there were screw pops in the rear panel and that they would try to run it through the expired warranty, Prime Time pushed back a little but because I was a repeat customer they approved the work. Trailer Source installed the panel incorrectly and it had left ripples in the panel at three location. They replaced it and it looked fine. This year I brought it back in for maintenance and told them about the roof at the rear of the unit and if they could just patch it while they were doing the other work. Well they replaced the brakes due to a leak in the bearing seals, and said someone had put the wrong grease in the bearings and to much, I explained to him that I have only brought it to them for all service issues. There were a few other items they attended to. I got a quote for 9 thousand dollars to repair the roof and a bill for 9 hundred dollars for the brakes and a couple other items. I had ask the service man at the counter (Danny) to see about sending the repair work on the seals through the Insurance that we purchased from Trailer Source. I was told no problem he would take care of it. That didn't happen and I took the R V home and worked on the rear panel myself. In doing so I saw that the screws they used to put the new panel on ( a year ago) had come lose and broke the trim piece that goes over the screws. The screws that they used were self tapping screws for metal, the backing for the panel is wood why use self drilling that are obviously made for metal backing. I have reinstalled the screws, but I pre drilled the metal trim and then used wood screws. My next step is to repair the roof where the service center did a poor job when working on the rear panel. Frustrated!! I had sent my son to Trailer Source this year and he purchased a fifth wheel. Over the last couple years I have had nothing but good things to say about your company. But something has changed there and we may not buy our next RV from you. But you are still hands down much better that your larger competitors. But you are terrible about returning phone call. read more

Do not use Trailer Source/Colorado Springs for service on your RV. I recently scheduled my Airstream trailer in May for minor services. I delivered the Airstream on 26 June as agreed, and was assigned Danny Swenson as my Service Advisor. At the time of turning the trailer in, Danny said it would be about a week before it would be fixed. After one week, I heard nothing from Trailer Source and called them on Friday 5 July. The Service Manager said they had not started on the Airstream, and promised me they would get right on it and that Danny would call me on Monday or Tuesday (8-9 July). When I heard nothing from Danny, I called in Tuesday evening and Danny said they had not started on it. He promised me he would call me Wednesday evening with a status. Once again, no call and I called him Thursday evening. It was obvious from what Danny told me they had done nothing to fix the trailer. On Friday morning, 12 July, I picked up my not-repaired Airstream and took it to Windish in Colorado Springs. Trailer Source service department is not properly managed and able to deliver services as agreed. Take your trailer elsewhere for service. read more

Colorado Springs: I was really green, didn't do my homework and bought a Winnebago Micro-Minnie (and financed it, big mistake). I bought an old SUV to pull it. First, they assured me the vehicle was fine to tow it, which it is, but only marginally. I since have learned you have to look at payload. The first summer after I bought it, never used, the hailstorm ruined the entire top so it spent mid-June to mid-August in their service department. Only after a very long time, I discovered there was a cap missing on top after my insurance paid thousands for repair. The worst thing I found out, though, was that the connector from the car to the trailer was installed incorrectly. Shortly after I bought it, the power cord fell off, dragged on the ground and was ruined. It cost about $180-200 (installed) for a new one within three weeks of buying it, no discount. I thought it was my fault, but more than a year or more later, I found out from an independent RV technician that it was installed wrong, and the plug WOULD NOT STAY IN. So they deliberately made me think it was my fault and charged me a lot to purchase a new power cord, but it didn't fix the problem. We even questioned the guy at the desk about the plug not feeling like it was secure at all and he said it was absolutely fine!!! Well, the technician at another place fixed the problem, expressed horror that it was so bad, and I have no problem plugging the cord in securely now. I am a senior citizen female, clearly not very knowledgeable, and they took advantage of that and offered me zero customer service. I will not do business with them again. BTW, their walk-through (no hands-on at all) when I bought was too quick and I left totally confused. Some places even allow you set do a mock set-up so you can learn. Not there. I do acknowledge that I was remiss in going home and doing MUCH more homework instead of letting a salesperson just make a sale that day. Live and learn. read more

In C.S. there are a limited number of RV dealers for Parts, Service and Sales. Trailer Source stands out as the best. We had to find a part for an older water heater, the parts department was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We could not have fixed the water heater without their help in finding the correct part. Recently I had to schedule service, all other RV service centers treated me like they were doing me a favor by servicing my RV. The others were not customer friendly to work with. Trailer Source was the complete opposite. They treated me like a valued customer, were interested in the problem and scheduled the needed service. I purchased a travel trailer in October of 2016 and could not be more pleased with the buying experience as well as service. I went to virtually all the camper dealers in the Pueblo, Colorado Springs and southern Denver area before buying. Not only did they know their merchandise, they informed me regarding what was and was not appropriate for me and my tow vehicle. Brian Woods in sales, along with Mark, walked me through the process of selecting a rig was was right for my wife and me. I had a minor service issue that needed addressing and Barb and Sean were super. I am fed up with large chains that can't get you in for service for two and three months for warranty work on a rig you bought at their store! Camper World can do without my business. read more
