I've never had this much trouble trying to get a simple service taken care of. My 16 year old son got a summer job and was able to purchase his first car. His very next purchase was to get a replacement key made. Using his own hard earned money, he paid Affordable Security $213 to get a second key fob cut and programmed. June 20 - Made an appointment, nobody showed up. Nobody called. June 27 - Second appointment. Tech showed up but not at the scheduled time. He cut and programmed a key. The fob he brought had buttons for a van with automatic sliding doors even though the appointment was for a Chrysler 300. I said it was fine because we just wanted to have a working second key fob. After the tech left I realized the original key no longer worked. Assuming it was the battery I took both fobs apart to swap batteries. In doing so, I discovered the original Chrysler chip had been swapped into the new van key. The tech hadn't programmed the new key despite charging for it. My son still had only one working key and was out $213. Called Affordable Security, explained the situation, and booked a third appointment. July 1 - Third appointment. Took time off work in order to meet with the locksmith. Nobody showed up. No call. No answer to my calls or response to my voicemail. July 2 - Made forth appointment using their automated system. (They were no longer answering my calls). No call, no tech showed up. July 3 - Called again from my wife's phone since they didn't seem to want to answer calls from my phone. They answer. I again explain the situation. They are apologetic and say they're going to call the tech to see what's going on and call me right back. No call back, no answer when I call back hours later from either phone. Drove to their physical address, which is a shed in a parking lot. Nobody there. Called the number on the shed. No answer. July 6 - called and made appointment with their automated system and used the online portal to book two separate appointments. No shows for both. No call. No answer when I call any of their numbers. Three times they have not shown up for a scheduled appointment. And they never contacted us to say they were running late or to reschedule.

Made an appointment for the next day at 9:00 am got a text saying it was at 11:00, next day called @ 11:30. They said they would be there before noon. Called at 1:00 talked to their AI operator, could not find my order, said a live operator would call me back. Repeated that three times to about 3:00. Next day I went somewhere else, still have not received a call, After being told by AI three times they would call me. I think they need a new AI. NOT HAPPY! My initial impression of this company was positive. I called with an issue on two doors of a park model I purchased and they were out within 24 hours. Although I stated I was willing to purchase new locks if necessary, they did adjustments on my locks and doors to get them operating again. Unfortunately both doors developed problems again. On the next call they replaced the lock on my standard entry door and did further adjustments to my sliding door. Next the key got stuck in my sliding door and could not be removed. When Brandon was out again, we told him we wanted to replace the lock; he said the new lock would be in the 20th or 23rd of December. We never received a call for installation. When I called to check status January 7th I was told Brandon would call me back. He never did. After that every time I called I received an automated system and left several messages, but never received a call back. On January 28th a life person answered, confirmed the part was in and scheduled Brandon to install on January 30th at 11:00 am. We received a confirming text message, but Brandon never arrived, although we waited all day. I called on January 31st and was told they didn't know why he didn't come and would have him call; he never did. After sending emails and leaving numerous messages on their automated system with no response, I used their online appointment scheduling to book an appointment on February 7th, the only option they give is an arrival between 6:00 am and 11:30 pm.I received a confirming text message and also called their office the day before to ensure Brandon brought the necessary lock. The woman on the phone was rude, said she had no idea if the part was in, couldn't guarantee Brandon would bring the part, and couldn't guarantee Brandon would arrive at all, couldn't give any shorter arrival time as they work from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm, and would have someone call back. No one ever called, we were up and waited from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm and no one every arrived to install the lock. I decided Affordable Security Locksmith & Alarm was not interested in conducting business, called Burge Locksmith Service, which was out the same day I called, and replaced my lock on the spot. read more

This company by far is the worst, I have seen in a long time. I didn't look at reviews before I called (my mistake). They were going to put in a my Q garage door for me and rekey my mother in laws house. The guy came out and looked at it and said it isn't rekey able, he needs a whole new lock and they don't have it. Turned around and left. I called the company and asked if they could order one, he said he would. He was going to have another guy come out and install the garage door later and was told they sold it. He then said he could get another one and he could come out the next day, he cancelled by text later that day and never heard from him. I called another company and told them what they did and he asked if it was affordable security locksmith and I told him it was. He stated they do this to people all the time. Come to find out the new guy came out and rekeyed the door and didn't need a new lock. I don't know how this company is still in business. read more

This company is completely unprofessional. Made appointment a week in advance for client safety deposit box drill. The appointment was confirmed by Affordable Security, so I informed my client of the date and time. My client showed up but Affordable Security never did. I called them and Brandon stated let me call my tech to see where he's at and I'll call you right back. Brandon never called me back. I called him again and again every time he sent me to voicemail. I had another person call Brandon and he did the same song and dance. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

Don't bother with any of their location. All of them do not answer your call and leaving messages won't get them to call you back. If they are not out of business they should be!! I made 9 calls with message. 3 to each location also sent sms messages and email. read more

To everyone considering using this business: ALL past complaints are true! We called for an appointment and THEY set the time for 9am the next day. Arrived at the location after trying to call them MANY times. They never showed and they never answered thier phone. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I made an account specifically to NOT recommend this company. I had lost my car keys and called Affordable to ask if they could replace them. They answered after 3 attempts, and set an appointment to meet me at my car located at a local Wal-Mart. Approximately 30 minutes after our appointed time, I called the dispatcher to find out where our technician was located. He claimed the technician called (but I never received any calls) and that he was in the area. He asked if I would wait a few minutes while he contacted the technician. 20 more minutes went by, and he refused to answer my calls as well as my boyfriend's. The voicemail kept changing, sometimes skipping straight to voicemail. We concluded that it was phone troubles, but considering how many people can't even get ahold of Affordable, I honestly believe he was flaking on us. We waited a total of 3 hours before I gave up on Affordable. I ended up calling Nichol's Lock and Safe, and he answered immediately. Jason, the technician, met us in less than 20 minutes and helped with everything. He was friendly, and upon hearing our complaint about Affordable, he said he commonly meets dissatisfied persons for the same reasons as I've listed above. I was locked out at 830 pm and this guys info said he was available until 1130 pm. He had 2 lines which I called both and left messages with no return calls or answers!!! Can't say anything on the service because I couldn't get a hold of the guy!!! I ended up having to break a window to get in because he is the only locksmith in town! Very disgusted with the way they conduct business I had an emergency so I contacted them about 1230pm (noon) and I was assured they would be over in 20-25 minutes I never heard back I even tried calling him several times since I wasn't able to find another locksmith. Well joining the bad review club for Afordable. Used them for a lock replacement and twice since then a lock was broke, BUT this time it is like not the same business. They make appointment and no show, then hang up on you when you call, then you leave message and nothing. What's that about. Lost my business and any friend that needs a locksmith.
