This company is incredibly shady. After placing an order, I went back online a few days later to double-check everything and noticed that the price for the exact same order had dropped by $1,900. I tried calling the company the next day to address the discrepancy, but they refused to return my calls. When I finally reached someone, they gave me a bunch of excuses. It made no sense because, shortly after, their own salesperson mistakenly thought I was a new customer and contacted me with a brand-new quote--confirming the lower price I had seen online. They also claimed that the fabric on the new quote was of a lower grade, but at no point online or during our conversations was I ever given an option to choose different fabric grades. Things took a worse turn when the manager / owner, who had been secretly listening to the call with the salesperson without my permission, suddenly jumped into the conversation, started cussing at me, and told me he didn't want my business. He also demanded that I stop talking while he was speaking. To make matters worse, when I contacted the financing company they referred me to, even they were shocked by the unprofessional behavior. They told me it was unethical for the manager /owner to listen in on the call without informing me, and advised me against doing business with such a company. It's clear this company is shady. They gave me one price, then changed it online, and when I questioned it, they treated me horribly. Where to start, chairs took over 3 months to arrive, they never had the fabric that is shown on the website, so we had to buy elsewhere and have it shipped. An additional cost... Finally the chairs come...wrong size 17" wide not 22"inches wide, vinyl was completely different than what was on the site. Email, call, email, call...got me nowhere. Will never order online from Affordable Seating again. Ordered 16 dining chairs for our office breakroom. Ten of the sixteen chairs arrived with scratches. Also the delivery truck when loaded made a mistake and left stuff behind and it took another few days to get the complete order. The ten scratched chairs shipped from a 3rd party in a different state were packed poorly and were scratched because of the way they were shipped. Affordable seating is basically a broker so when this happened they were not very concerned, offered "oh well we'll send some touchup paint". Most of the people I spoke with were not apologetic and didn't seem to care. No apologies, just "well look into it". When a customer orders 16 chairs and 10 arrive with scratching someone needs to care! Finally after repeated complaints someone named "Eric" responded in a decent manner. Affordable stated their 3rd party seat supplier would make a claim with the shipping company, but weeks later I have not heard a word or an update and don't expect to. How would you feel ordering 16 brand new chairs and 10 come scratched and their solution is to send a few dollars worth of touch-up paint? Just save yourself the headache, phone calls, and endless emails. Also when they say something is " in stock" what that really means is they have no idea if it's in stock - then when you reach out several weeks later to inquire when your order will ship they say, oh actually it's not in stock and have no updates on when it will be back. They they give you a different color option that's " in stock " and it doesn't leave the warehouse for 6-8 weeks. Then they say it will be there in 3-5 days and it finally shows up 16 days later. Over 40 years in the restaurant design business this has to be one of the worst companies to deal with. I found this Bamboo table top and asked to see a picture or drawing of the pad where the spider mounts to the top to make sure when I order, the bases will fit. I was told there wasn't any top or info available and that I should trust him it's all standard he said, I asked if he's sure because I didn't want any problems. Bases arrive and I get a call that the bases don't fit tops I call and get the run around then finally was told to email complaint , I did and they told me I should have bought the bases from them also. It wasn't a set otherwise I might have. I had to spend my time to pickup tables and have them modified to fit . I called them explaining all the things I had to do to make it right with my client and I said that they should at least pay for materials but they wrote back and told me I should have had all this in writing when they told me they fit all standard bases and to trust him and there's nothing they will do. After that I spotted a charge on my CC card fo $90 without authorization and notice . I inquired and they said it was for truck liftgate for use of 3) 30x30 & 3) 30x48 tops. Before you buy anything from them - and if the furniture is for your residence and not for business - be WARNED that they will charge you extra shipping charges (in addition to the regular freight charges) and they won't warn you about it, even if you talk to customer service prior to ordering (which I did). Instead, in a very sneaky way, they will add in the invoice a web link to their policy, which among other things states this: "Residential Delivery, "inside delivery" are available in most cases. Please remember to ask for it when placing an order since these services have to be scheduled with the freight company. Extra charges WILL apply for these services... We reserve the right to bill you for shipping charges on refused shipments and any extra shipping charges as mentioned in our shipping appendix". In my particular case, I bought 2 booths and one table and for this, I paid them $260.96 in shipping charges alone. however, a month and a half later they are charging me an additional $105 dollars, simply for the carrier to drive the truck through the neighborhood! If they were upfront about it then it wouldn't leave a sour taste in my mouth, but this is as deceptive as it gets. As far as the quality of the product is concerned I have no complaints. The booths look great and the quality looks good. The assembly of the table took us more time because they do not ship an instruction manual with it. For a $100 table, they should include a manual. The waiting time for the product could also be improved. In this day and age, I consider unacceptable their waiting times. We had a space where we wanted a booth that was not a standard size. We looked for months and found Affordable Seating/Seating Masters. I had a few phone conversations with Sales office about size, about not doing a standard materials order, etc. They were very responsive each time, and we ordered. This was to be a gift from a family member, and they were very helpful in making it happen so we got delivery thought someone else paid. Granted, delivery took longer than we were hoping for; HOWEVER, each time we reached out to Sales, we received a response by the end of the day with an update. It is a bit disconcerting that the $90 home delivery fee gets you the items lowered on a truck lift to your driveway, but not taken inside. Though I suspect that has more to do with the contracted delivery service than the furniture company. It is also bit disconcerting that when items arrive, you have about 15 minutes to unwrap them, inspect them, and accept or deny delivery; however, ours were in perfect condition. The assembly was exceptionally easy (and if I can do it, anyone can), and they look beautiful. One note. The table top is one solid piece. I would have liked for 'starter holes' to have been drilled for the base. I realize the base comes from a different manufacturing plant; however, with precision tools available today, I would think the bottom of a table top can easily be marked where those holes would need to be drilled, and starter holes drilled. The seemingly less-than-positive remarks aside, we could not be happier with our new kitchen booth and table. read more

Then fraudulently charged my card a month later for a $60 drop gate charge that I did not request. They blamed on their delivery service, and advised I requested which is a lie. We ordered twelve chairs, 6 regular height and 6 barstool height. The box from the shipping company looked great. However Seating Masters did not package the chairs in an adequate way. There was no packing around the chairs so they rubbed against one another. The metal was chipped and scratched. The welding was low quality. Some of the chairs even wobble. We have contacted the company and they are not responding to our needs. They sent us a can of spray paint to fix our powder coated finish. I would not not recommend this company for any products. This has been one of the worst purchasing experiences of my life. I placed an order with them over 2 months ago and was given lead times in the ball park of one month. When I called in nearing the end of that month I was assured that everything was on time. Now two months later I have table tops but no bases. To say their customer service department has been less than helpful would be an understatement. Erick the Customer Service Manager refuses to do anything to assist in the situation and his answer to everything is send an email and give us 48 hours to respond. As they have caused me to miss my deadline I asked him what the calculation policy was to which he told me he could not tell me that over the phone I would have to send and email and give them 48 hours to respond. The prices they offer are good but this is definitely a situation where the savings is not worth it. I asked to cancel my order after seeing how long they take to fulfill orders. They tell me it will cost an astronomical restocking fee which is BS because they hadn't started my order. They didn't have a darn thing to restock. Then weeks later I get some tracking number that went to Texas and said delivered (I'm in Oregon) they tell me this is an internal tracking number and not to worry. Weeks later I reach out to check and they say it will get to me the next day. I received nothing. This was a few weeks back. So I reach out again. They assure me it will get to me tomorrow. I contacted this company over fifty times by phone calls and emails and they never lifted one finger to help me in any way. At first all I was asking for was a few replacement parts, which I never received, then once all six tables failed, I asked for a refund or replacement by better tables. I have used this company numerous times in the past and their customer service and products are mediocre, but you get what you pay for. I was okay with that, knowing I wasn't paying top of the line. However, I purchased an entire restaurant full of furniture from them on March 4th. I received the order, minus two columns for the tables (meaning I have the top and base, just not the thing to hold it up). It is now 5/28 and I've resorted to emailing daily to ask for an update and still have zero response. I also have 2 tables sitting in the back room that are unusable. On top of that the tables were damaged from glass rings on the FIRST night. Not only was it a nightmare to get any kind of assistance. I was told after asking to speak to a supervisor that " the supervisor will not call you back or speak to you." I am appalled by this company. We really tried to be patient with this company. Prices were great so a little headache, we thought, could be worth the discount. BUT ...even giving them the benefit of backlogs with covid and everything else...they turned out to be completely lacking in customer service and ethics. 1. We placed our order for quickship booths and 2 custom corners. Color - wine. Then they separated the order into two orders since they come from different warehouses. So double the shipping. Okay fine. 2. Quick ship booths came. They looked good, a little darker than expected for our decor, but we adjusted. They were a month later than initially quoted. 3. Corner booths continued to be delated they arrived nearly two months after original quoted time. And they were bright red. 3. They blamed me for the color - saying I should have gotten a swatch to match the pattern - Match the pattern to what? They made the original booths it was one order - one would think one order of booths would all come in the same color. 4. They "did me a favor" they made this very clear they were not liable for the completely wrong booth color but they would make this one time exception and replace them no charge. We shipped them back. After another month we got them back and they were torn (they recovered the ones they had sent because it was bright red underneath) 5. I complained of the tear - they said they filed a claim. 6. I called to check on the claim (one would think they could send a repair kit that matched the color...I had ordered repair kits with my original order but never got any) - and one would think they could maybe give me a little discount. Nada. They were annoyed I called. 7. They charged me $220. 8. I called to find out what the charge was...it was for shipping me back the booths they screwed up in the first place and that were also torn. 9. I raised my voice - I did not swear at the syrupy hostile man on the other end of the phone as I wanted to.... he continued to tell me the charge was well within their rights based on the "contract" I signed on the first order. I said the contract was for booths that were the right color and not torn. They were having some issues even fulfilling that part of the deal. Why should I be charged THREE times for shipping product that was still damaged. He hung up on me. Twice. Gotta love Eric - reviews here show "Derek" ...probably the same person. 10. They agreed to take the corner booths back - instead of simply refunding the $220, shipping a repair kit, and providing a courtesy hassle discount. BUT refused to take back the other booths that match - which is in essence the compete order I placed back at the start of the year....AND which was one order from the start.
