The owner is amazing. While our family was camping at the state park down tbe road, my daughter discovered her bike tires were flat. We didnt bring a bike pump! The owner of Affordable Mopeds allowed us the use of his bike pump. In fact, he went above and beyond and pumped up her tires for free. When my children are older, we will definitely return to try out the mopeds. read more

i normally don't write reviews but the people here were so kind. i was super nervous to drive the mopeds but the oldest son of the owners, i can't remember his name, he helped me step by step until i felt comfortable and was so helpful and nice :) read more

We had so much fun! Billie was awesome and gave great instructions. We will definitely be back this summer. Thanks so much!

If you wanna have a fun time with your family, I would recommend renting a bike down the road. This place is complete trash dude will literally drive the beach just to look for a reason to get more money out of you. save yourself. The hassle literally got charged 180 bucks for my teenage son who has a permit was riding a the Scooter on the beach The owner will get mad and link your contract for everybody to see on Google had my name my phone number and my address on there read more

This place is great. Two brothers were extremely helpful down to offering gloves and glasses The mopeds themselves were adequate. They worked fine allowing us to zip down the beach and around town. read more

I had so much fun and very nice people that helped me and we rode on beach and main roads and they go actually pretty quick for a moped. Very easy to learn read more

Great customer service for our family bubble trip in September 2020, took the time to ensure we were comfortable practicing before starting the rental clock. I was one of the beginners and the kindness, care, and simple instructions made my day! We had a blast! I read the lower star reviews, and did not experience any rudeness or racism from the owner or the staff. read more

My daughter and I were in ocean shores for a girls getaway and decided to try this out for fun, and we are so glad we did! Affordable Mopeds was so great from start to finish! They made our experience fun and safe and memorable! Billy gave us the safety training walk through which was really great all around training. He made us feel safe and confident to get out on the road. This was mine and my daughter's first time renting a moped and we had a blast! I definitely recommend this family business. Affordable Mopeds was the highlight of our day! :) read more

First time here today, great experience! Staff are friendly and nice! Would definitely recommend and most definitely will be back! (: Thank you! read more

I do not recommend this company wants to deceive you for 1 hour costs $30 but if a lot of water gets into the filter and they say that the moped needs to be repaired because it will die after 0.5 miles because the water got into the engine but the water cannot get into the engine because the carburetor filter goes first and then the motor but i drove it 5 miles with a wet filter and it didn't die and they charge $150 for it read more

Had a blast! Rented two three wheel mopeds to ride on the beach. The silver one I had was brand new with only 5 miles on it. Husbands was in great shape minus the cracked side mirror. Make sure you take $50 cash deposit for each person. If you bring back the moped in the same.condition you left it in, they hand back your $50. They have regular mopeds and a couple three wheel mopeds. They also have the helmets and sunglasses so all you need to do is show up and have a blast. People there were very nice! Will definitely return! read more

Not a fan of the racist confederate flag helmet in the front. Everyone had their masks off or on their neck, didn't feel sanitary. They were nice but we almost left when we saw the confederate flag. read more

They really are affordable! Check-in was easy and simple. The lady at the front is straight forward about logistics and cost. Helmets are provided, and they have extra shades for drivers. "The mopped guy" broke down the tutorial in a very simple way (I was a first time moped rider). We were out and driving within 10 minutes. They are located near a "back road" so first-time riders can practice before hitting the main roads. The day we attempted to take the mopeds out onto the beach was not the best day! The sand was not packed enough for us to drive on; and we saw a lot of people get stuck in the sand. So definitely worth it if we could hit the beach with our moped! Just ask the "mopped guy" if the conditions are ideal. It was still a lot of fun going back and forth Ocean Shores Blvd. read more

My favorite shop to rent mopeds from in Ocean Shores!!! They are open more often than the other rental shops & The people who run it (owners?) are super cool!!! I'm going to be using them again this weekend!!! Can't wait! read more

Good place to rent a Moped, bike or even a 4-person peddle bike.. We rented a 4 person bike for an hour ($25) and had a very great time. Note to anyone that wants to take it on the beach.. It is way harder to peddle on the beach then on payment. We almost didn't make it back because everyone was so tired. lol. We had a great time!! read more

Came in a little later in the day thinking mopeds would be a fun thing to do before heading back to the hotel. We were greeted very warmly and by two of the most friendly people possible. Once we decided on how long we wanted the mopeds for (we were juat a little late to be able to do 2 full hours but they said they would make an exception for us) we were given a great crash course on mopeds and informed that the training time is free and our play time clock wouldn't start until after we were comfortable with Riding them alone. They supplied the mopeds, helmets, and gloves and even hair ties!! Everything was perfect and we will absolutely be comming back to affordable mopeds next time we are in ocean shores!! Highly recommend to anyone! You don't even need to schedule anything they have tons of mopeds available and are very organized. read more

Husband and I just got home from a surprise anniversary getaway to Ocean Shores and mopeds were on the top of the list of things to do while we were there. While there were several places around with moped rentals near where we were staying, the $30 for 2 hours sign could not be avoided so we made our way over to begin our adventures - and I sure am glad we did! First of all, the owner Bill (yes the same one several reviewers complained about) was AWESOME! Not only was he funny, but for a first time rider he made me feel so comfortable! He even told me that I was a better driver than my husband, LOL, hubby didn't appreciate it but gained him extra cool points with me Bill gave great instructions, made sure I was ready to hit the open road and sent us on our way. The moped itself wasn't the fanciest (the other places actually had cooler looking ones) but that didn't bother me at all. Everything was in one piece, we had a full tank of gas and the breaks worked - what more could you ask for! I was a little bummed since they no longer have the three wheel mopeds, but what Bill explained was that they are actually more difficult to ride than the regular ones and they didn't want to upset people by telling them those mopeds were for "novices" only. Made sense to me! The ride itself was awesome. Husband and I had a great time rollin around Ocean Shores on our cool little mopeds and now I want one even more for commuting back and forth to work! Definitely a great, fun way to see the town. To the people who complained, it's simple .. follow the rules and you don't get yourself in trouble, simple right? We had absolutely no issues, in fact we stuck around for a couple of minutes and had a great chat with Bill, who again was a very nice guy. All in all it was well worth the $60 and we will definitely do it again. Thanks Bill and Affordable Mopeds! read more

We had a GREAT time. For 30.00 we got to have a fun moped experience. It was my sons first time on one and they granted him the moped rental for free since it was his birthday. I can't understand why these other people are complaining that they got charged for ruining a moped. They go over all the details with you, repeatedly, and train you to ride before your time even starts. If you can't maintain your integrity and fess up to the fact that you made a mistake, then you shouldn't sign documents with out reading them. read more

They really are affordable, and this was the favorite activity that my son and I did while on a short Ocean Shores getaway! The two person staff was great, we were in-and-out on our mopeds in 10 minutes. The mopeds were well maintained and rode well on the road and the hard packed sand. We had a blast riding them at about 20 mph up and down the beach while my wife and daughter rode horses. It can get a little chilly, so be sure to dress for a ride if the weather isn't hot. Enjoy! read more

I have never been on a moped before and they took the time to show me how, and made sure we were comfortable before sending us off. We got to choose the color of our moped which was pretty cool! They provide helmets and let you borrow sunglasses if you forget yours! Ride on the street or the beach! The beach was definitely our favorite place to ride, it was so beautiful!! I had my 10 yr old with me and she loved it! This was so much fun and I can't wait to go again! Make sure you have a coat or a sweatshirt......it can get a bit cold especially on the beach. read more

Drove down to Ocean Shores from Seattle, about 3 hours, with the goal of having an awesome day! Bill at Affordable Mopeds helped with that FOR SURE! Rented 5 mopeds for 2 hours, romped all over the beach, taking to the road was a little rough with our last half hour my boyfriend took a spill. (The deers aren't coming for you, they're just scared and trying to hide- lessons learned!). Bill let me hop in his truck for our recon mission. Saw the blood and he said we're gunna be having a worse day then him. Haha. Didn't charge us for the damages. BEYOND KIND! Solid guy with solid business practices! The old school way. Sure enough, road rash and a broken toe. Can't wait to get back down there and get another round in! BEST DAY despite the accident, all party members agree! (Even the one with a limp). read more

Crashed the moped at the beach and couldn't get it to start. Bill, the owner, himself came out to rescue us. He calmed me down, told us not to worry, and even offered to bring us another bike so we could continue any time we might have lost. Guy in the back was nice, I was a bit nervous and don't feel like I got very much instruction but then my husband rides motorcycles and was telling me what to do so maybe the guy didn't feel like he needed to help me much. Lady inside was less than friendly, my husband tried to joke with her and she totally sniped at him. Guy in front of us asked for a price for several hours and lady was very rude saying just do the math and that they don't discount for a half day. Unfortunately they are one of the last places in town to rent a moped so not a lot of options read more

Absolute liar! I called the police. I ran to my kids that I left at my hotel. My oldest was 12. This guy is scum. I got his forged signature of my name from Bank of America. I demanded them take action. They refunded me over $200 off my overdrafts for prior year. I'm a Christian and father of 4. He also tried to intimidate me while waiting for the cops by repeatedly telling me he's good friends with all the police in his sleepy little desolate town. Thanks. read more

Horrible customer service!! The lady at the counter was extremely rude!!!! The prices are ridiculous too. The guy that was giving training was super nice and very helpful and that's why he gets the one start. Otherwise the lady doesn't deserve any business. I was unable to ride the moped as I couldn't control it properly and didn't feel comfortable riding it. she saw the entire thing and refused to give refund. Unfortunately one of us lost control of the moped and fell and got injured. I called the lady to come pick up her moped and she told me she didn't have anyone with drivers license../ what the fuck!! How to do run such business and has no one with license?? Well cops showed up at the accident scene and called her and then all of the sudden she had someone. Wow!!! She then checked the moped for damages and charged us $100 for damage and the only damage there was was the scratches on her stickers!!! Please spend extra money and go somewhere else and enjoy your time at ocean shores. She is one horrible person!!!! read more

This was such an amazing experience for a 7 girl bachelorette party. The owner was so gracious as well as super friendly. Made sure we all had pink helmets and and extra few minutes for the bride. If you're looking for an awesome moped rental experience, go here for your rental. read more

Went on Mother's Day, and we were able to get the one hour Rental special, and did not even have to be on a waitlist. I absolutely love this place! I came to Ocean Shores for my bachelorette party and me and my girls had SUCH a wonderful experience. Because I am getting married next week, he gave us free 15 extra minutes, gave me a free hat and shirt and gave me a gift certificate for a free 1 hour ride. The owner was so nice and understanding. I will definitely come back in the future :) read more

Terrible lady owners/management. Purchased a 2 hour for $40 ( not affordable btw). The person giving us tutorial was nice but didn't do a good job explaining the controls. The brakes was sticky and I lost control and couldn't stopped. I end up hurting myself after only being on for a few minutes. Tried to get a refund for the second hour.. since I paid for 2 hours and only used for total 30 minutes.. but was rudely dismissed. There needs to be refund policy for people that are unable to operate the mopeds. There should be a first timer discount. The lady was very rude and seemed to only cared about keeping our money. My suggestion for first timers is choose the "cheapest" deal. $25 for 1 hour as of 2017. If you like it, get another hour. Better yet, go to Apollo mopeds. Better customer service! read more

This is the second place that we went to rent moped's over our weekend. We should have came here first. The mopeds are in better shape than other locations and they do go faster. 2 hours for $30 and that is really all your need. We brought them back 10 mins past when we were supposed to by accident and they didn't make a big deal about it. They guy who ran the place was really friendly towards us and we didn't have any issues. Yes, DO NOT drive them into the water or you will be paying for it. That seems like common sense to me however. read more

the staff here are lil flirts. they liked us so much.... they offered to push us in our bicycle car all the way to the beach front. how sweet. we rode around the parking lot and no one cared. all the tourists and moped riders glared at my friends and i because we rode on everything without signing papers or showing our driver's licenses. we can't help it if the boys like us. haha. they let us do anything. this is where you rent mopeds and atv's. it's THE place to rent bikes and bike cars. just a warning though... don't be too pretty- otherwise the staff will flirt and lift up your car to try to scare the hell out of you. =) then they'll flex and show off their muscles. not cute, but it's an ego boost for us. haha. read more

For $30, these awesome little gems will get you 2 HOURS worth of riding time! Just remember: DO NOT AT ALL COSTS get salt water on the zipping things, or it'll cost you a whopping $150. The man who helped us at the front was kind enough to go over how to use the mopeds, even though we already new how. He even rounded up our time so we actually got 2 hours and 15 minutes of riding time! How nice! Easy to use, easy to rent out, you can even take them onto the beach, so long as you stay on the same areas that the cars were traveling on. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest this place. It had the best deal when we were in :) read more
