I think she likes to argue with customers for the sake of arguing. Also and importantly, despite the very high prices, the cleaning is poor. For example, they left a stain on my dress and overall, it doesn't even look like they actually cleaned it or pressed it. AVOID this dry cleaner. Dystopia Cleaners would be a more fitting name for them.

On top of that, there were obvious new stitches added that hadn't been there before, and they didn't even remotely match the fabric or color of the knit. I also brought in a trench coat, which came back with all the same stains untouched -- honestly, for the best considering what happened to the dress. When I returned to show them the damage, there was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to offer compensation. I had to request a refund myself. The employee handed it to me and simply walked away without even acknowledging the inconvenience. This place used to be excellent before the ownership change. Now it's an absolute mess. Please do not trust them with valuable clothing, especially anything sentimental like a wedding dress.

My wife had her wedding dress altered here for our wedding and then dry cleaned afterwards. Yang was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. The alteration process was a bit long, requiring multiple visits, but Yang was receptive to any changes that we wanted. I appreciate that after any work is done, he allowed us to check his work and if there was anything we weren't happy with he was opening to making the changes. Overall, I feel like his prices are reasonable for the work he does. My only strong word of advice is to make sure to call ahead before coming into the store to make sure that whatever work is done because usually he's behind schedule.

Sadly just a few months before her wedding it was cancelled. My daughter was flying in for a scheduled fitting with Dao and on top of finishing her fitting properly with no rush to pick up her dress when completed, Dao gave her a discount as well as bestowing my daughter lovely, kind words of wisdom and encouragement and told her that she was meant for someone better and this cancellation was just the way to make room for it to happen . As a mom we don't expect anyone else to love and care for our kids like we do. This was such an unexpected blessing to a very difficult time. Dao is extraordinary tailor and human. Surprisingly, the appointments are not very long. The first appointment, I wore the dress and Dao immediately told me a list of things she needed to fix (things that I am clueless about so I cannot verify if true or not) and provides a quote/invoice. The second appointment is a double check. The final appointment was my longest one as I asked her to make a small tweak, which she did on the spot. I did notice that the dress felt more supportive and structured on the last visit due to the work she did (adding boning etc). She usually has one other associate working in the shop and together, they are extremely good at hyping you up as you try on the dress. Cost wise, my friend and I both spent about $1K each on our dresses. In summary, Dao is very confident in her skills and vision and it is clear she has a lot of experience in wedding dresses as her entire shop is lined with wedding dresses. PS. My friend looked STUNNING on her wedding day - the dress fit like a glove and was so flattering. She told me you can take the dress back after your appointments if you need more work. PPS. There is free street parking.
