I would discourage anyone from going to this 'business' they are horrible people and liars. It took them over FIVE months to fix my ipad screen. When I finally threatened to bring in the police over stolen property they gave me my ipad back broken. The screen was no longer working. They said it was a 'risk' and it happens. The owner, who is an immature child, did refund my money and fixed my other screen. I was okay with that until I brought in the original ipad in to a different company to be fixed. Affordable Care Services stole parts from my ipad and replaced the parts with broken ones from other ipads. The only way I found this out was by bringing it in to another repair store. When I went back to confront the owner all he could say is that he would not fix it and he said there was NOTHING wrong with it. Please. The only way that this could be made right would by him getting me the exact same ipad model in working condition or by refunding me $400 which is less amount due to the screen he replaced. When I proposed this idea he simply threw the release I signed at me and told me that no one would ever do such a thing. I really hope that no individual would trust this business. There are other places around town where they will take care of you and your electronics. If they break it or can't fix it they will replace the item for you. I have no idea how this place pays their rent. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest. They kept my iPad for 3 weeks when it was supposed to be a 2 day fix. They use death in the family, sickness, out of stock parts, as excuses, meanwhile making other appointments with different email addresses/phone numbers. No integrity... no business of mine. Update: I decided to get my phone fixed in Arizona instead of bringing it back to these guys 1) I was uncomfortable bringing my phone back to ACS because when I had to chased them down with emails and phone calls for 5 days they were Tottaly rude telling me they would not refund because, they would be out a screen (really? A china screen.) ... 2) They butchered my phone so bad with adhesive the adhesive was all over my prior LCD Screen. I don't want a butchered job done over again 3) ACS blocked me from their FB page and took down their reviews off FB to hide their mistakes. Bad business. Learn from them. 4) I was NOT going to wait two weeks to get a working phone again. I pay my phone bill and I work off my phone 24/7. 5) I want to take pictures of my kids on vacation. I recommend this business to no one! I am FIGHTING my with my bank to get my money back! I paid over 200$ to fix an iPhone screen! I could've just sucked it up and paid my deductible an had some cash left over. So sad this business would rather be greedy over a faulty screen and not refund a customer their money back over their mistake! Seriously! I purchased a special offer to have the screen repaired on my phone. I was told I would be given a prepaid phone for them to notify me when my phone was completed. When I arrived, their prepaid phone was dead and they told me I could just check back. Fairly inconvenient for a tech store. I am disappointed that my phone now has a very slow response time with the touchscreen. I have not called to have it fixed because I'm fearful it could end up even worse. read more

I have used Affordable Computer Services several times over the last year for my computer and phone screen replacement needs. The owner replaced by screen for my iPhone within a day and it has worked perfectly since. In addition, the phone had not been vibrating for many months and he was able to fix this! I have also bought headphones, chargers, and other equipment for my electronic devices at a very reasonable price. Affordable Computer Services is a great place for affordable computer hardware, miscellaneous electronic equipment, and other computer needs. The service is timely and the owner is an excellent communicator. The prices are fair and I trust the service to be exceptional. read more

Horrific customer service - they're impossible to get a hold of and are rarely open during their scheduled business hours. They quoted me a reasonable price when I brought my phone to them, only to tell me days later that the LCD was supposedly ruined and it would be much more to repair than they had indicated. I would be able to accept this if it hadn't occurred after they told me my phone was all fixed up and ready to be picked up the next day, only to back pedal and say that the adhesive had not properly set and the job had to be redone. Then suddenly there is more damage and I owe them more money. I really regret not looking into this place further before I took my phone to them, as I'm obviously not the only person that has been ripped off. We went in with a Samsung Galaxy phone to get the screen fixed with an Amazon $59 coupon and when we handed over the phone all three of us checked to make sure that the LCD screen under the glass was not broken. They called the next day and said that to have the phone repaired they needed another $129 to replace the LCD. NOT! That is more than the value of the phone. This a bait and switch operation. When we picked up the phone it no longer worked at all and all they said was tough and here sign this release. That brought a laugh. Go elsewhere. I would not recommend going to Affordable Computer Services to my worst enemy! Unfortunately, I can't give zero stars; which is what they deserve! I purchased an Amazon Local deal for them to replace the screen on my mom's iPad. I called them and they said that they needed to order the screen and that it would only take 2 days to fix it. After receiving the call that the screen was in, I dropped off the iPad to them at 4:45pm (they close at 5pm) on Wed Oct. 27th and was told once again that it would be done in 2 days and that they would call me. Monday Nov. 3rd rolls around; I had not heard anything so I tried to call them just after 4pm and got no answer. The next day (Tuesday), I tried to call them again right after 12pm (when they open) and got no answer again. I kind of got the feeling that they were avoiding my calls so I tried calling them from a different number and they answered!! He told me that it was not done yet because they got a lot of devices in last Wednesday (not sure why they didn't tell me this in the first place). Once again I was told that it would be a couple days and they would call me. Since I felt like I was getting the run around, my husband and I decided to go in the next day at 12pm, Wed Nov. 5th, and see what was taking so long. When we got there, we were told that the adhesive was still drying. I told him that I would be back at 4pm to pick it up and asked if he thought the adhesive would be dry by then. He said that they would call me (I've heard this before). After researching it, I found out that the adhesive only takes about 2 hours to dry (FYI). I told him that I would be back at 4pm to pick it up whether it was dry or not (getting really irritated at this point). I went back at 4 that day and it was done. I tested it before I left the store and discovered that I could not unlock it. It was not registering touch correctly and it was malfunctioning. He apologized and said that he would have his tech look at it and they would call me (uh huh). I told him that I would come back at the same time tomorrow to pick it up whether it was fixed or not. By this time, I was fierce! Not only had I felt like I was getting the run around but it was taking 4 times as long as they had initially said. The next day (Nov. 5th), they left me a voice mail right before 4pm saying that the part was defective and they would have to send it back to get a new one. My husband and I drove over there and told them that we are taking the iPad elsewhere and we wanted our money back. They said that they would refund us but would have to take the screen off and that it would take 15 mins. We told them to take the screen off and a mere 5 mins later, he was handing the iPad over in bubble wrap. We took it across town to CPR (who said that they could repair it in 2 1/2 hours) and upon inspecting it, they said that the home button and cable were missing!!! (And I thought I was fierce before!!) By then it was about a quarter to 5pm and there would be no time to drive across town to Affordable Computer Services to demand that they give me the home button back so I had the new place order a new one. After about a week, I called the new place to check on the iPad and they said they discovered that the cradle for the home button was broken and they had to order a new one (which is backordered)!!! Words cannot describe how mad and frustrated I am with the whole situation. This ordeal is taking a month to fix and it's only because I was trying to save money (which I am spending more thanks to this chop shop!). Moral of this story is: DO NOT GO TO AFFORDABLE COMPUTER SERVICES UNLESS YOU WANT THIS HEADACHE AND FOR THEM TO BREAK YOU'RE DEVICE!!!! I would suggest going elsewhere. They are rarely open, apparently don't check voicemails, and when they say they will call you back they don't. If you are by appt only you need to be on top of communicating via phone. Had to get a groupon refund because I couldn't ever get a hold of them although I used the number they provided. I would highly recommend this place .. I have a grandson who goes to college near there and not only had his computer taken care of but also his phone screen and all at a great price ! Take these reviews seriously! I didn't listen and I wish I would have! This is a TERRIBLE "business". I would HIGHLY discourage anyone from even thinking about using their "services". I initially found a deal on Amazon Local for $60 to repair the cracked screen on my iPhone. First of all, they're only open four days a week for five hours a day so they're incredibly hard to get in contact with. They told me they refused to fix my screen without also replacing the LCD for an initial $50. When I first spoke with them they asked me if the lighting on the screen rippled when I used the touch screen because of the crack. I said no it does not. When I finally got in while someone was actually working they said it was rippling and they had to replace both the glass and the LCD. I had to wait an additional week for them to take care of this. When I got my phone back after wasting two weeks of my time and $110 half of my screen was blue and the touch sensor did not work. Half the time I couldn't unlock my phone, I couldn't make phone calls without it hanging up on people and it would randomly open apps and type gibberish without me been touching the screen. They told me if I updated my operating system everything would be fixed. I don't like iOS 7 I liked iOS 6 and I wanted to keep iOS 6 on my phone but I thought, "fine, if this just fixes my phone then I'll do it." Sure enough---no change. After all of this I was so frustrated that I didn't listen to all the other reviews on Yelp I went in and demanded a refund. The owner refused to refund me and said he would try fixing it again. He also says there is an issue withYelp that prohibits people from seeing good reviews. I don't think so! There aren't any good reviews period. This place deserves the 1 star average it holds. Seriously, go somewhere else to fix your electronics. It's not worth your time, money and effort to go here. I'm telling everyone I know to steer clear of this place. read more

I saw a deal at their store for a smartphone screen repair at their store after I was eating at their neighbor, jaws sushi. My iPhone 5 was badly cracked to the point it was cutting my fingers to text. They had a cancelation and got me on right away. My phone is now fixed and it is just like new. I highly recommend this place. They mentioned that they did computers and tablets too so I am going to bring in my computer to get rid of all the pop ups! read more

Absolutely horrible business! Zero customer service, terrible quality work that breaks within hours, and completely unprofessional! I bought a prepaid voucher from Amazon Local and called them, for them to tell me 1) that the voucher didn't cover the full repair and 2) that they didn't have the part in stock to fix my phone. So, I thought, "fine, I'll just pay for the LCD and I can wait a little bit. They told me that the LCD screen would take a week to get in, however I never got a call. A week and a half later I called them to see what the hold up was (of course, they didn't answer and had to call me back), and MAGICALLY the part had shown up that day. BUT, they couldn't get me in FOR SOMETHING I ALREADY PAID FOR for another week. SO, at this point, we were at three weeks from me paying for a service - that takes 1 day to finish - to my phone even going into the store. The phone came out just fine, or so I thought. The day I brought the phone home the phone started turning off randomly, and this happened more and more until last Thursday it turned off completely and would not turn back on. I called them, however they never called me back. So, I went into the store, for some kid to tell me that the owner wasn't there and that he was the only one that did work on the phones, so I would have to come back on Monday. Which I tried to do, however the store was closed! AND, get this, they didn't answer their phone during the "normal" business hours. Hopefully Adam Smith's "invisible hand" gets rid of this company before anyone else accidentally uses their services. TL;DR - They charged me $180 to take three weeks to repair my phone screen, and in the process caused even more damage to the phone to the point that it is unusable, and then continued to blow me off - horrible company. read more

DO NOT take your items here to be repaired, no matter what. I was told 24 hours for repair and when I went in to drop it off he said it needed additional repairs and it would be 4-6 days to get it back. He required payment up front and kept my phone. Now it has been 25 days. No answers to emails, phone calls, or web comments. I went to the store to get it back fixed or not and no one was there. I made an appointment under another name and he didn't show up for it. Have filed a BBB report, a police report, and contacted the landlord to tell them what is going on. CPR would have had my phone to me in an hour for only $30 more. read more

I seem to have had the same experience as everyone else has had with this firm. I can say that, by far, this firm provided some of the worst customer service that I have ever witnessed. Not only is the service bad, the workmanship is even worse. I had them replace a cracked screen on my mini IPad (which took over two weeks) and ended up having to take my IPad to another firm in town which corrected the problems which Affordable Computer Services seemed unable to accomplish. This included getting rid of old broken pieces of glass and adhesive which had not been completely removed and was causing the frame to come up leaving an opening to the inside of the IPad; replacing the magnets so that the smart cover could work again; adding back in all of the screws that were left off when the frame was put back on (and screwing in the ones which were put back in but not secured!), replacing the entire glass because the home button no longer worked. Amazon refunded my coupon, but the firm did not refund the additional money that I paid them to get the work done in the first place. I'm truly amazed that this firm is still in business. They may have a computer specialty, but it certainly isn't working with IPads. read more

If they could get a minus rating, that's what I'd give. I've reported this business to the local BBB for their shoddy workmanship and lousy business practices. They were to replace my iPad screen. I took my iPad in to have the glass repaired & when I got it back, a week later (They promised 24 hour service) , I did not have my usual wifi reception. I contacted them and Affordable Computer Services took the glass off again & "cleaned" it telling me the antennae contacts had debris on it. 3 days later, when I got it back this 2nd time, it was worse than before. I am getting "ghost writing" gibberish on my notes, erasing them, bringing up web sites I've never been to & hopping around my apps all on it's own without my touching the screen. It's not working right and the Affordable Computer Services Manager, Chris, says they can't do anything about it. They offered to look at it again & I told Chris they've had it twice each time giving it back to me in worse condition. I've asked for them to pay for repairs at a reputable Apple store. I've asked for a refund as their "repairs" left my iPad in even worse shape than when I took it in each time. Dust & a palmprint are visible still under the screen. I believe they've obviously lied about cleaning it and now they won't make it right. I've asked several times for a refund. Chris says they can't do that. Don't take your electronics there if you hope to get them back in a usable fashion. I'm almost afraid to turn my iPad on as it has already wiped out many of my notes & documents read more
