I recently had a bizarre experience with David of Affordable Carpet & Flooring. Didn't even get past several phone calls, and got nothing but the runaround. Approximately a week ago, he said he would have his sales associate contact me to set up an appointment for a floor measurement. I waited two days and no phone call. So I called back and spoke to David again. He said he would arrive at my home, which would have been yesterday, between 10 and 10:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. rolled around, and David hadn't arrived. So I called him again, and he said he thought the appointment was for 5 p.m. (I'm not sure how he could mistake 10 to 10:30 a.m. with 5 p.m.) He then asked if we could set up another appointment. Although I should have declined, I agreed to the 5 p.m. appointment. At around 4:45 p.m., I noticed that David had left a message on my cell phone about an hour earlier, asking me to call him back. I immediately called him back, and he said his sales associate would be coming to my home but would be a little late because the associate's girlfriend had gotten into an accident right in front of David's house and the police had just left David's home. He said his associate would be a little late, but the associate never showed up. Some time later, David texted me and said his associate had been trying to call me and was stuck in traffic. Yet, the associate left no voice message on my phone, and there was no record in my cell phone log of any phone calls. read more
