My parents had a beautiful wood based chair that they no longer wanted/needed, so they asked if I…read morewanted to take it off their hands. It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

Please consider another company before going to this one! The owner of David is horrible. He's…read morerarely in Baltimore and a relies on another company to sell his product and also install. The other company is experience, but does not explain exactly what they are ordering for you or I wouldn't have had the issue I had with the blinds/shutters. I have in my house. I started this project in March 2025 did not get any installation for over four months and was given all types of excuses from the owner David. He then discounted me some money off of My order because of how long it was taking used every excuse as a delay by the vendor delay by the VP of the vendor, etc.. The shutters that were installed were made to supposedly tilt both ways and is why they don't close completely, which I was never asked that question my other shutters in the rest of my house are not made that way and closed and block out lots of light. They also have framing from the top and the bottom that hide 11 inches of light coming into my house instead of just putting another slat in the shutter and making the top and the bottom only 3 to 3 1/2 inches. David then stated after I refuse to pay any more money because he said I didn't have to until they were fixed. He took over six weeks and still never communicated to me until I wrote a review and then that's when he again spoke up. Again, giving me excuses that he was waiting for the item to come in. This gentleman should not own a business because he gives most of his money away to fix the problems that he calls because he has lack of communication and doesn't properly order the product or higher the right subcontractors to help him out. This is definitely a buyer beware situation.
