I was pressured to consider the repair and was even offered a partial "goodwill" discount. Because the diagnosis was so serious and expensive, I sought a second opinion from an independent mechanic I trust. That second opinion found: * No transmission failure * No case half leak * No need for transmission replacement The actual issues were: * An overfilled transmission * A drain plug O-ring * A hose clamp Had I not gotten a second opinion, I would have paid thousands of dollars for an unnecessary repair. That is deeply concerning. I was told the pink siliconesealant that showed in the blurry. Pictures was a leak and it's not. I'm sharing this so other customers know to get a second opinion before authorizing major repairs from this dealership. Based on my experience, I no longer trust their diagnostics.

I pointed out that customers depend on estimates to make decisions. 600 is not even close to 850. He claimed he was being generous and took 100 off the extra 250 he tried to bill me. I told him that I have not done business with a different dealership that did the same thing to me 20 years ago. Then they were mad at me and said that the guy never got authorization which he did and he sent an email to the guy at auto credit that said there was not any email saying that it was authorized. so basically he was saying that the mechanic fixing the car was lying I had the mechanic call auto credit and talk to them and the guy ended up did finding the email showing that it was authorized.
