I called the Lexus dealership in Annapolis and was referred to JB's for repair. Pros: Really nice people, quick Turnaround (2 1/2 weeks) and collision repair knowledge. Cons: communication is ok; I would have liked more informed updates that discussed my out-of-pocket expenses when using this shop. This is why I want to put a warning if you use this particular shop. Warning: This is the only certified Lexus repair shop in the area that won't bring down their labor rate per hour. This will affect you because they are well above the insurance cap ( they charge 54 dollars, and state insurance companies cap at 50 dollars an hour). This means the difference will be paid by you, the consumer. Knowing what I have learned, I would have picked another place that wouldn't force me to pay additional fees even though their finished product was good. It is bad enough to get into an accident that isn't your fault but to have to pay the difference is even more traumatizing. I am fortunate that the insurance company waived the charges, but from what I hear, this isn't the norm. This shop is an excellent place if you are willing to pay 200-500 out of your pocket.

The repair was done by brushing paint over the site and applying a substance of some type at cost of $1600 - entirely out of pocket. I have two additional vehicles for repair, one covered by Insurance for "accident" damage = about $1900; final vehicle, a low-mileage 2001 Chev Silverado 1500: proposal = $4500! Scope = MINOR two body repair spots, ceramic wax and replace rear bumper ($900 of cost). ED ALLISON clearly sending me a message: "I don't want your business." Very disappointed with this after many years of good relations. NO WORRY, I will not return.
