I made a same day appointment at a time that worked for me. Check in with the app as well as the front desk was a breeze. Where this business excelled was its staffing. They apologized it seemed for everything. So humble. No arrogance whatsoever. My nurse was Amari and she was phenomenal! She was cracking jokes and putting me at ease under my circumstances. I never felt judged. And her blood drawing skills- best Iv ever experienced! She was so gentle. The head nurse was Megan and she was extremely professional and friendly. I loved that there was music playing and the staff could be heard laughing. I wish this was a primary care practice!! I would love to be seen by this staff as my regular physicians. My experience with this location of AFC Urgent Care WAS THE BEST! I came down to Largo for a visit and became ill, the ladies at the front desk were so caring and helped me with paperwork since I was so sick. Then I was called to the back. My nurse/assistant, her name is Quay, she went Above and Beyond for me. I had numerous problems, not just one particular so she helped me by talking to her Manager to see what I could e seen for since my insurance would only take one Illness. She helped me with compassion and empathy and really listened to me, I was placed in a room for the Dr. Then Dr. Laura came in and sat me down to go over everything that I am going through. Her bedside manners were so comforting. I was so glad when I googled urgent care in Largo, I chose that facility. I rate the a serious 10 if I could. You are treated as a Human and they Listen! I am SO thankful that this place wanted to squeeze some extra bucks out of me when I called for a refill of my antibiotic. I had had eye surgery two days earlier and couldn't drive but they refused to refill my common antibiotic (Keflex) without me coming in. I ended up catching a ride to the VA emergency room and found out that what I had wasn't a UTI after all, but gallstones and that my urine sample was red not due to a UTI but instead, gall stones with elevated liver enzymes and the reddish color was from bilirubin. So, thanks, but NO THANKS, AFC, but I'll seek competent medical care in the future. read more

I was recently employee, I witnessed with my eyes employees live streaming on social media such tik tok, facebook, instagram, and video calls while showing and discussing patient files, lab results, and plans of treatment. Literally the worst experience I've had at an urgent care. I will say the NPw Megan I believe her name was, was the best & the best thing that clinic has going for them, I came in because I had a laparoscopic surgery done 3 days ago and the surgical glue was chipping away as I was told it wouldn't do that till a week after. I had no open wounds she just helped me with some wound care and covered the areas that needed it. She said it looked perfectly fine and the glue was just chipping around my incision which is fine unless the whole thing came off, but let me back up. I have insurance I pay a small company when I have not hit my max out of pocket, let me remind you I hit my max out of pocket of $1800 monthsssss prior to having this laparoscopic surgery to remove custs from my overhead . So technically I was supposed to have a zero dollar con- pay . As I had my insurance in the phone trying to explain this to the receptionists and the manager Lisa who was extremely rude and goes clear as day with other sick people on the building says " I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR INSURANCE SAYS" I was told to get a reference number and the name of the gentleman I spoke with from my insurance company from another co worker their but good ol LISA REFUSED to refund my petty co pay , & her being that unprofessional to say that loud as day in front of other people is highly embarrassing not just on my part but hers as well! I will get my co pay back I don't care how much or how little is , it's the fact this lady is trying to tell me I'm on a "co-pay plan" while my insurance is sitting there on my phone on speaker saying no mam she is not. Lisa didn't care there was 3 receptionists I dealt with. First the girl who took my co pay after I told her I don't have one but I still gave her my card. She disappeared than, another girl sits in her spot and as I'm leaving waiting for my ride cause I can't drive still due to surgery , I'm telling this receptionist the wound care dressing is not sticking and I asked for some type of medical tape or something to secure it she says we can't do anything your discharged already and goes to texting on her phone, that girl sat on her phone the whole time till a older gentleman was finished with his paperwork and she tried to tell him he has a company and he's like mam I met my out of pocket no I don't, he didn't put up a fuss and paid it . I fell so bad for these people as if this company is just trying to rob people blind. I waited there and looked at the other receptionist and said I need some sort of tape something and she proceeded to get me some unlike the other girl who just completely dismissed me to go back to her texting or tik tok scrolling whatever she was doing , she sat in her phone the majority of the time I was waiting for my ride so I can't imagine her actually doing her job correctly, they take no care to look into your insurance whatsoever. I only gave one star cause the No probem was very seeet and understanding. I would rate zero stars if I could, that NP is the only good thing going for that place like I said . All the front girls and manager do is sit back there chuckling at their little conversations while there's about five people waiting in the waiting room . I would never recommend this place to anyone. I will be going to the higher up's, the billing dept cause hunny I was supposed to pay zero dollars they even handed me a paper that said my co pay and than right next to it said zero dollars and I asked them like hey did you not see this part ? No one said anything. Stay far away from this place , should have known better going to a urgent care in LARGHETTO . i may have already written a review but i wanted to make sure i applaud this urgent care again! I've been to this location a few times for different issues and they've all been treated with excellent care and compassion as well. The staff at the front desk are extremely efficient and i've never had an issue with insurance, billing, even the candy bowl at the front desk (always a nice selection)! Every single person i've seen behind the doors has been not only knowledgeable and kind but personable. This urgent care has an x-ray machine and i was super grateful for it in one of my visits. On this same visit I came in almost an hour before close and they still gave me the comprehensive care i needed, including x-rays even though i can only assume it was more work for them. I was SO embarrassed when i realized I came in so close to closing but my heart was warmed because i didn't even realize until days later. The staff never treated it like an issue but i would never do that again and i recommend that no one else does if you can help it! I saw Kelvy PA as the provider who was just as friendly and approachable. The office was very clean. And granted, it was a Wednesday midday, I was in and out really quick. When I returned they charged me another $50 co-pay when I could have gone to my primary care for $25 co-pay. Very misleading and not a good practice. read more

I arrived at 8:30 AM for a rapid Covid test. I'm writing this post at 12:14 PM and still haven't been taken back for the test, but they took my money almost immediately since a rapid test isn't covered and it's completely nonrefundable. One staff member couldn't have been any ruder when I asked her how much longer it would be, and yet five minutes later she says to this other lady in the waiting room "it seems like you've been here a long time I'll check and see how much longer." This other patient hasn't been here as long as me. The television in the waiting room plays only animated movies for young children, but there are nothing but adults here, 23 adults. We were visiting IRB from out of state and our daughter had an allergic reaction affecting her eyes. We went to two other urgent cares and one turned us away as they were too busy and one turned us away stating they don't take walk ins even though they advertise they do. Our daughter was miserable and this whole process was very frustrating. Finally came across AFC and received great care. I went to this facility on Tuesday with a sore throat and a low grade fever. They did nothing except look at my throat and tell me it's red and I have a common cold. No temp check or throat swab. I felt as if the guy blew me off. By Friday AM I was still feeling unwell and went to another urgent care to be diagnosed with strep and an ear infection. This is specifically regarding the LARGO LOCATION(it is not listed) They lead patients to believe that you are being treated by Physicians. When in fact they only employ PA's and ARNP's. They charge patients out of pocket for covid but then bill their insurance also. INSURANCE FRAUD They have a Medical Assistant doing Xrays, however she is NOT certified. The manager is 21, whom plays favorites. Her best friend works there as a Medical Assistant and treats no one with respect. She is rude and mean to other staff, and if you bring it up to the manager, you get fired. They commit insurance fraud. They have no cleaning services, so nothing gets cleaned and/OR sterilized. It is truly a nightmare to work there. They do not offer PTO or 401k read more

Literally the rudest care I've ever witnessed-came here because my friend needed stitches and the lady was rude enough to us that we left. We were screamed at because we were being too loud and "my nasty ass was against the counter" . She literally screamed at us, closed the curtains and started cussing about us more to her coworkers... because we were worried about our friend and being too loud? Unbelievable go anywhere else. If I could leave zero stars and get this lady taken out of the healthcare profession I would. Thank god it wasn't serious enough that we had to stay here. Many urgent cares/ERs in the area.
