Dr. Mitchell took my case even…read morethough my labs were not so clear-cut and I am grateful to him and the wonderful staff for taking care of me today! One adenoma removed and healing! I think we caught HPT earlier than the doctors that can't think out of the box would have, and I believe that this operation saved me decades of problems. Update 1.5 years out: since the procedure. I rechecked my labs a few times. My calcium was fine…read moreeach time, but my pth was slightly low. I was instructed to continue to take calcium for that low lab. I also continued vitamin d since it was trending up but still low. I was worried that I was going to have to take calcium for the rest of my life. But thankfully, my recently pth levels are normal. My vitamin d is finally in the normal range too. It isn't in the optimal normal range but it will get there. I just wanted to share that incase someone freaks out about pth being low after the procedure. So hopefully my labs will stabilize and continue to stay normal. Will update if anything changes. The scar is barely visible too. The incision was made at my natural fold. It healed nicely.
