Simply put, Dr. Kush Patel and the entire staff are awesome! The front desk folks are friendly and efficient. Everything in the office is run right on time. The office atmosphere is friendly and low key. All blood draws are done in house. Their phlebotomists are friendly and expert. Dr. Patel is amiable, caring and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I ended up having a pretty severe allergic reaction to the oak pollen and found myself unable to breathe, with extremely severe congestion and my throat basically closing up anytime I tried to eat. I visited the Pasadena Urgent Care at 7217 Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete Beach, FL, where I saw Dr. Michael E. Murray. It was a few hours away from the time my flight back to Texas was scheduled, and Dr. Murray did a phenomenal job of quickly diagnosing me and sending my prescriptions to a local Publix that was on my route to the airport. They were out of injectable steroids in the office, so I was prescribed three meds. Diagnosis was quick, but I already knew what it was, so I appreciated how efficiently this office operated to ensure I was able to make my flight. I was absolutely miserable on my flight home, but after 24 hours on the meds, I'm already feeling remarkably better. They asked that I call in a few days to let them know how I'm feeling, and it really did seem like they genuinely were invested in me feeling better. Thank you so much! One thing to note - they do not accept insurance so you will need to separately submit. I paid $150 out of pocket, but they gave me all the paper to send to my insurance for reimbursement.

On my first visit, which became my last, I noticed the receptionist/office staffer appeared overwhelmed. Perhaps this is why the office does not answer and has their answering service answer, even during regular business hours. The issue is, the answering service is not allowed to take messages; they can only page doctors in an emergency. Beginning October 14th, I tried for two days to speak to my doctor, Dr. Cheryl Stanford. My pharmacy tried, a disability advocate tried and Dr. Perez's office (a satellite office) tried. Finally, a staff member from Dr. Perez's office emailed Dr. Baula's office and I received an extremely rude and threatening phone call from the office manager. She advised I could not speak to Dr. Stanford; she stated I must schedule an appointment to speak with her for the next week. They refused to complete an Amercans with Disabilities form which had been hand-delivered on the appointment of September 30th. An ADA advocate from SHINE wrote Dr. Baula's on October 20th asking for them to please comply and complete the form. Thus far, Dr. Baula's West Coast Primary Care and Dr.Cheryl Stanford have not responded or complied with the Americans with Disabilities advocate's request.

He is always kind, sincere, and takes the time to truly listen. He explains everything clearly and never makes you feel rushed. Like many practices, they've had some staffing challenges, but honestly--who hasn't? I'm a business professional myself, and I know firsthand how difficult it is to find and retain good people these days. That said, my visit today was seamless. I arrived at 12:50 for a 1:00 appointment and was out by 1:30. The entire staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional. I should have written this review a long time ago. After reading some of the negative reviews, I feel compelled to say this: people need to be patient. You don't know what another patient may be dealing with, and personally, I don't want a doctor who rushes through appointments. I appreciate a physician who takes the time to provide thoughtful, thorough care--and that is exactly what Dr. Canton does. Highly recommend.

My husband said could you please let me call the insurance company to verify. She was insistent that their system shows that we are in a grace period and she had to cancel. He offered to pay out of pocket. She said no because you have insurance. Well in their system we don't, so what's the difference who pays?! Dr. Canton, Deana is condescending and extremely rude to your patients. She is not putting your patients wellbeing in mind. We will not be returning after being so treated so badly.
